I'm still in my 2 week wait from kkh.
At Nuh I got pregnant first 2 cycles but ended up with early miscarriage. In terms of eggs retrieved and fertilized, I had more from Nuh. But that has probably got to do with age as my fresh cycle with Nuh was done in 2014.

HI Ganbit
Mind asking at which week did you have the miscarriage?

Tx

Ladies . Are your egg retrieval painful after? Any side effect ie pain for few days cannot walk.

HI kris80
U will probably feel cramp for a day (that Is for me that is) . .I just slept the whole day after the procedure... Think the daily jabs is more stressful than the egg retrieval..

Good luck! ! ! Is not as bad as it seem. . .

I just had my second menses after miscarriage (9 weeks) and feeling dizzy off and on since last week. Has anyone experienced this?
My GP had prescribed me stemetil and iron pills. Any suggestions what else I can do?

Try natural sources of iron (meat and veggies) and herbs to 补血?
Hope u feel better and fully recover soon! I have Low blood pressure and also sometimes feel giddy during 1st 2 days of Menses. I will eat something to up my blood sugar and usually works.

This is my 2nd fresh and I just started menopur on sat.
Wanna ask u ladies if anyone eats Chia seeds regularly? I bought a pack and started drinking with water (put 2 tablespoonful with 1liter of water).
Was hoping the high protein can help to replace the eggs a bit as I feel gross trying to down more than 3 eggs a day.

hi ladies, may I know what is the process of natural FET in KK? do I need to go to hospital for scan frequently? or only start the first visit on CD10 instead?

Scan started at CD2 for me and scan alternate or 2-3days once. when egg is decent size, lining nearly 8 and urine test positive then they will arrange transfer for you.

That was what I was told too. Expected to go often. Af came and was expecting to go down on CD2. Instead, the nurse told me to go only on CD10. I wonder why the difference in protocol. Should it be a cause of concern? Hmmm.....
that would be great in that case as I maybe out of town until CD8. hopefully they dont ask me to go down till CD10. strange though, they did different ways on ppl.

Me me ! I took chia seeds while preparing for my 3rd fresh cycle as they had take lots of antioxidants.
Would mix flaxseeds and chia seeds with kale and banana in the shakes and drink! Its definitely not the nicest shake but what matters was that my 3rd cycle turned out much better than my 2nd cycle.

Good luck to your cycle.

hello! I took chia seeds too but they were more for my weight loss and appetite control rather than fertility. I just poured it into my water bottle every day for a few weeks? But my cycle after eating it is considerably better though there are MANY other possible factors:)

I haf my first scan in cd10 den 4 days later another scan..

I had scan on cd10 and cd13..then transfer on cd 17

Feels more reassured now hearing tt there are CD10 scans for natural fet. Was wondering if i got confused with medicated. Thanks :)

Think there is a difference in scanning between medicated and natural, mine is natural...

My friend aso do natural FET, and she get scan on cd 9, cd12 etc...so I think depends on ur lining and follicle growth[/QUOTE]

Red bean soup, soya milk, high protein food, raspberry leaf tea to build up lining

Hi I just bought raspberry leaf tea. May I know when I should start drinking? Can drink during menses? I am on CD3 now and starting Nor E on CD18 and will start injection after menses.

A close friend just broke the news this morning that she's pregnant w #2. Feel happy for her but yet can't help but feel quite heavy hearted about my state and wondering when it will finally happen.
Not much mood to work today already. Trying to adjust my feelings since it's just the beginning of the day.
Everyone Jia you!

The tough part is also I'm not really close to my parents so I haven't been informing them we are going through this. Whenever we go back to their place for dinner we try not to broach the topic of having kids but luckily my mum really nev ask or add pressure so far. I feel like we are in fact growing further apart since I m avoiding to share on this journey. I've always hoped that I can give my folks a grandchild soon since they are getting old and I know they feel envious of frens who play w grandchildren cos they sometimes mention their friends.
I always feel a bit sad for my parents because actually my elder bro has a Daughter but as he's also not close to the family he doesn't bring his child to visit my parents at all. So I thk they are still banking on me but don't really dare to ask. Sighs...it's complicated.

Hi all...
I am going for ER tomorrow morning. any tips before and/or after ER?

Hi dear all brave sisters,

I've finally been blessed by the good Lord with a BFP, and although it's something that I am not openly sharing yet (due to the fact that I'm being cautiously optimistic), I would like to share with all the brave gals who are trying so that they can have hope and continue to be brave...

My first fresh ivf was not successful (yielded a chemical pregnancy) and I was pretty devastated as my stats then were quite good (good quality embroys) and I was in pretty good shape (no OHSS)

My FET following that came as a BFN even though I was doing accupunture and undergoing Tcm... :(

As I was planning to go for the next fresh cycle in 3-4months times, I decided to buck up by changing some of my lifestyle habits. I switched to eating organic food whenever I could, I went to the gym or went for long walks more often, I took loads of supplements so that I would produce better quality eggs (royal jelly, fish oil, blackmores conceive well gold supplements, Coq10, folic acid)

3 months later just before I was cycling for my second fresh, I went to see Dr THH for the endoscratch procedure. I also went to see Dr CT Yeong (tow yung clinic) to have a session of intralipids.

I had also discussed with Dr tan to transfer blastocysts as these would have a higher chance of implantation.

During my ER, I suffered from mild OHSS and was worried that I would not be able to do the ET that same cycle, but my blood test cleared me for ET. I was quite bloated but thankfully it went down just in time for my D5 blastie transfer. Also thankfully, my blasties made it to grade A and B and Dr tan implanted 2 of them. I watched lots of Russell Peters before and after the ET as there is some evidence that laughing after the procedure helps with implantation! lol...

After my ET, I immediately went to see Dr Yeong for another session of intralipids. Dr Yeong also gave me proluton injections (for additional womb support) and prescribed me with baby asprin which is supposed to aid implantation by reducing any inflammation that may occur in the womb.

Following that for the next week or so, I tried my best to eat a fertility diet (read up on the avocado diet) which includes chickpeas, salmon and cod fish, one avocado a day, kidney beans, spinach etc

I was feeling great until my 5th day post transfer, when I started to feel very bloated.

At that point in time, I did not realise it was late onset of OHSS and I thought it was my crinone gel causing it. I tried to tolerate it but after the 6th day of being severely bloated, I couldn't take it anymore and suspected severe OHSS.

I was admitted into hospital and Dr Tan scheduled me to do a paracentesis. I had like 3-4litres of fluid which had accumulated in my abdominal cavities and I was feeling absolutely terrible, I looked 6 months pregnant!!! i was unable to eat, sleep, sit or walk :( :( it's not something I would wish on my worst enemy

Although the paracentesis was painful, it was worth the pain as the relief thereafter was so welcomed by my poor tummy.

The silver lining was that blood tests have confirmed my BFP and Dr tan was telling me that late onset of OHSS is usually due to pregnancy. although I have been suffering much the past week, I would go through all of it again just for the BFP. I only thing I would do differently is to seek help earlier to manage the OHSS, no point being a hero as your body will not thank u for it.

The level of care at KKH has been great so far and i'm looking forward to being discharged soon so I can recuperate at home and be ready for the next stage of the pregnancy.

Sorry for the long post but I thought it would be nice to share this since this is a lonely journey and there are not many gals u can talk to for support and encouragement.

Jia you everyone!!! baby dust to everyone!

Congrats! I also watched Russell Peters when I BFP-ed last cycle! Maybe that's the magic formula! Haha...

Hi, I just had my ER yesterday, but was told that I might have to wait for the ET cos of mild OHSS. Is there anything I can take other than H2O to ease the OHSS? I feel that when I drink a lot, i get even more bloated :( TIA!

Hi ladies.. i hv graduated from this forum n just drop by to give u girls encouragement. I have 2 ectopic pregnancy n lost both of my tubes so Ivf was my onli way to hv a baby. I embark Ivf journey in 2013 I wasn't the lucky 1 to strike on the 1st try n the worse is i was deemed to be low reserved my amh is onli 0.7 n I got egg quality issue too. After trying for 3 fresh n 1 fet of cos all BFN my doctor actually suggest I go for donor eggs. But i refuse to accept. So I decided to change a doctor to dr tanhh we decided to go for low stimulation which means min drugs use for stimulation. As we expected.. during the scan there was onli 1 follicle growing but still decided to go for ER. So that's the onli egg collected and fortunately the golden egg was fertilise and got transfered. The golden egg is now my 2 mth old son. So ladies dun give up.. Ivf journey is nv easy I gone through what u all going through i got so jealous when my friends or relative got preggie. I avoid going to full mth party. The feeling of infertile is so awful. I went into depression whenever my Ivf failed but luckily I hv a husband that no give up easier.. now finally we got a beautiful son in our arms. Baby dust to all of u..

Hi congrats and thanks for sharing.
I failed my 1st fresh despite transferring 1 excellent and 1 very good D3 embryos, no OHSS then. Starting next fresh cycle soon.
Never heard of intralipids n proluton injections. Can you explain more? Also cant KKH administer these for you? I am interested to try these too to aid implementation.

oh ya to add on, I am with Prof NUH. When we did review after my failed cycle, he only said everything look good. :( Din offer much advise how to aid implementation next cycle so I am trying to find out what else we can do.

Hello gal, unfortunately, as KKH is a government-subsidised hospital, I was told they stick to basic Ivf protocol and will not recommend anything more. While I was seeing Dr Tan, I went to see a private fertility doc separately for my intralipids. Some people have undiagnosed and recurrent implantation failures and there is some evidence that this is due to high level of NK cells (natural killer cells) which sees the embryo as a foreign body and thus attacks it.

Feel free to Google it to read more about it. Dr Yeong from tow yung clinic charges $200 per session of intralipids, which is basically a soybean solution that supposedly down-regulates your body's NK cells and thus, aid implantation.

Although there are many doctors out there who say that there is no proven scientific evidence on the success of intralipids, Dr Tan was very kind and told me to try it anyway since it doesn't hurt my chances. it's just that it was something not offered by KKH.

Proluton injections are additional womb support measures. KKH will only give the crinone gel or vaginal tablets so when Dr Yeong told me he will give me the injections as well, I gladly took it.

The other thing u can ask for is an endometrial scratch, which is proven to help with implantation. I believe NUH should be able to help you with this procedure.

All the best and let me know if u have anymore questions!
