IUI/SO-IUI: Anyone?

He did took the SA test before at KK but that was in yr 2012..results are somehow outdated...so we request to take again and assess the current situation. I did my HSG test last yr and Dr Chan did ultrasound scan on me. Everything is well n perfect, so now is to wait for his SA results

@Kelle_lee Yes correct, usually SA results can only last for 6 months. Can check if the sperm test your hb did is the normal test or sperm binding test?
Any difference between normal test or sperm binding test? Dr Chan did not mentioned this...

Stopped my meds.. Don dare to test.. Will just hold my curiosity in.. Fingers crossed! No symptoms of anything.. Jus normal

I feel discomfort & slight pain in my lower abdomen when dr is doing iui for me. Having slight bleeding e whole day.

Hello @catinthesky ! Hope you enjoy your holiday and have a wonderful trip! Lol, who is not hoping to get pregnant right back after holiday trip.....but mother nature decides.
Anyway, just had my iui today. It was nearly aborted but I carried on with it after hearing the doctor advice. I took the risk. Now I am leaving everything to fate. If this round the IUI is not successful, I will have to jump into the IVF bandwagon then.....

Ladies, i got so puzzled by kkivf.
My last u/s was done on last sat (day 9) and my biggest follicle is 17mm, lining 7mm triple layer. Dr on duty told me she would like my follicle to be bigger so i continue 75u puregon for sat & sun. I was given e jab to prevent ovulation till Mon morning. I was told to go for trigger shot on Mon night but i was very puzzled! They did not ask me to go for any u/s on Mon morning, how would doc knows if my follicle & lining are good enough? If they say 7mm triple layer on Sat is good enough but how about my follicle? And i read from Kkh's website that i am supposed to go back 7dpiui for serum progesterone test but nurse only told me to go back for blood test 19days later as 17th day fall on Sat. Can anyone enlighten me? I just email kkivf.

Out of curiosity, i tested opk & hpt, today 1dpiui. I have super strong positive on opk & faint positive on hpt. I read somewhere that i should have positive hpt for several days cos of the hcg shot (trigger on Mon, 8pm). can anyone enlighten me? Dun tell me i haven ovulate

@Melody2512 what is the dosage of your trigger shot? Yes it does stay in your stream and it can give your false positive de.

hi @angle bb , packaging not the same, but I think the contents shld be the same...Raspberry Leaf....
I guess from all the reading, Raspberry Leaf strengthen Uterine lining, regulate AF, minimize cramps... I think it should be safe to just drink it...from conception till early preg. stage bah.
You can try google and see, alot of info available.
Drink when menses starts till ovulation then stop.
Btw, anyone having headache after drinking raspberry leaf tea? Have been having headaches lately but not sure if is due to the tea.

Never had any problem with drinking raspberry tea. Been drinking 2-3 mugs per day, love the tea taste!

Thanks for the advice. Today is my first day mensus. Drink one mug today. But, the raspberry tea bag got raspberry favouring. That y the tea is red in colour. Is this same with yours? I am ok with the tea. I feel headache also yesterday also. But I think is not because of the but it's the haze.
My raspberry leaf tea is not red in colour. Is slightly greenish-yellow colour. Did u buy the right one? Mine is the traditional medicine organic type. I took 3-4 cups per day.
Btw i googled and found out headache is 1 of the side effect of this tea. Anyway, i am feeling better after 3 days of consumption. Maybe is a matter of getting use to it.

Can I check,What's the ideal sperm count (post wash) and motility n morphology for a successful iui?
I've failed two iui and wonder if iui is suitable for us.
Personally I don't think there's an ideal sperm count because there's other factors like motility and morphology that play a part and morphology cannot be tested at point of semen washing. Ultimately, you just need 1 to reach the egg..did your fertility specialist speak to you about a plan? Mine told me 3 cycles of iui and straight to ivf...

Hi there! I'm with NUH and my first IUI cycle went like this:
CD2 - consultation and scan (was on a Sat)
CD12 - scan to check follicle size (about 1hr including waiting time. Scan was only like 10min)
CD14 - scan again for follicle size (about 1hr including waiting time, scan was 5min only, dr rushing!) Visited GP near my house for trigger shot (ovidrel) that evening.
CD16 - Tomorrow! Going in for my IUI
Not sure if kkivf waiting time is longer. Do take into consideration travelling time back to your office.
By the way, it should be vaginal scan and not ultrasound scan.

Hi littlebaby_melissa! Yes going to start my 1st IUI this Fri! To be honest, everything still feels surreal. We didn't really plan to do IUI, we only wanted to go for consultation and find out about IVF. Somehow, we were just "swept" into doing IUI along the way.
I went for scan today and if I am not wrong, my right follicle is only 9.5 and left is 15. My left ovary is located way up there so when Dr scan, the nurse had to help press down my tummy - a little painful but bearable.
So 2 days later I have to go back for another scan and take the trigger shot. Have you all taken trigger shot before, is it painful? It's on the tummy so I'm kinda nervous.
Hope our IUIs will be successful

Both of you dont be disheartened. Who knows you will get BFP the next round. If I am not wrong, one of us here has a bfp on the third round. Jiayou!

Good luck for your upcoming IUI. It is naturally to feel nervous. Because it is something new for you.
For any ART journey, it is compulsory to take blood test to check whether you are HIV positive and also to check whether you are vaccinated for Rubella, Hepatitis etc...Its just a protocol.
Thanks AnnBby. I've done my HSG and found my left tube to be blocked and sadly that's where all my dominant eggs are being released. I've been going to NUH to do time of ovulation (too) checks since Feb with no eggs releasing on my right.
I even changed doc from Dr Anu to Dr Chew as i found Dr Anu (she's good btw) not for me, we dont seem to connect well. With Dr Chew, he was very patient with me. Today when i went for a check, there was a window of hope when he said he saw a folicle growing on my right. That was the first ever good news i heard in such a long time.
Dr Chew gave me tamoxifen for two days 60mg and i suppose to see him this wed to see how big the folicles are growing. If the right size then im to go for IUI either this Thurs or Sat. Praying it works for me and all the rest of us here.

No problem @Wanbaby. I am with NUH too. And yes, Dr Chew is a very patient doctor.
I am with Dr Lim on most occasion. The only advice that I can give you, don't stress out yourself and don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes, some unfortunate things happened is not because we want it, its just an act of nature. We have no control over it. We cannot see what is actually happening in our body anyway. Science can only explain this much.
So try to relax k. I wish all the best for tomorrow and hopefully you can proceed to IUI smoothly. I am currently 8dpiui and this is my #5 attempt, 2 aborted IUI due to follicle not responding to medication. I cried during my first aborted one. I wonder what is wrong with my body. Kept thinking why is it so hard?
But now, I think I more relax. If this attempt failed too, I just resign to fate that I have to go thru IVF next.

I drink during 1 mug during lunch time, 1 mug during tea break, 1 mug in e evening. Sometimes i drink in e morning too but not on empty stomach
Thanks. But there won't b a third round of iui for me. Gynae feels that iui wont work for me and advised me to go for ivf. Wishes to take a break n rest my body first while deciding where to do ivf at.

haha, Melody2512, do u use one new sachet for your 1 mug? I use 1 sachet but "chiong" with hot water like 3-4x until it gets quite tasteless then will discard that sachet. not sure if I am doing it correctly. haha.

Jiayou! Yah i do agree we must rest our bodies first... I guess ladies who undergo ART are Superwomen, cuz the bodies need to go thru medication, scans and needles..really tougher than normal ladies who conceive naturally....* power!*

Just an update, went for TOO check yesterday and Dr Chew said i've 1 left follicle size 16mm (from the block tube) and 1 right follicle size 10mm. He's getting me ready for IUI this Sat. I'm given Ovidrel to inject myself this evening.
Keeping my fingers crossed that my 1st IUI will be successful. Nurse told me theres only 10% success rate for IUI.
At least its worth the shot.
