5. Meet Your Favourite PAW Patrol Pups

Does your child like doodling? Sydney, Australia’s Cartoon Kingdom flies to Singapore every year to conduct cartoon illustrating workshops for kids. The seventh edition of Singapore Art Museum‘s family-focused exhibition is back with a new theme: Imaginarium: To the Ends of the Earth. One of the headliners is Lizard Tail, a colourful and interactive soft-sculpture environment by Hiromi Tango. It teaches about adaptation and survival based on the lizard’s ability to regrow its tail. On 18 May, 5 June, 9 July and 12 August, kids have the chance to create their own Lizard Tail to add on to the original! There are eight other inspiring and engaging art installations, as well as a variety of workshops and activities.

Ubin island is having their annual open house. The inaugural Gallery Children’s Biennale, themed Dreams and Stories, inspires kids and families to use their creative imagination while exploring immersive and interactive art showcases. Then challenge yourself to walk over 12-metre-long bridge through infinity − don’t fall into the excavations of the former Supreme Court building below! 37. Enjoy Music in the Park

Love rocking out as a family? Then you don’t wanna miss the sixth instalment of Rockestra, the concert series by NParks. Bring along the grandparents because this time they are going retro. The whole family will be treated to the sounds from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Jack & Rai, 53A, Jive Talkin’ and Shagies will take the stage. Don’t worry about refreshments as there will be both halal and non-halal food on sale. Just remember to bring a family-sized picnic mat!

There will be food stalls and free ice cream all day, and don’t forget to watch out for the hourly Candy Cannon blasts! Tickets include a goodie pack for kids, while adults get a free drink.

40. Grow Green Fingers

Start ‘em young, so they say. Gardening is enjoying a new surge in popularity, considering all the efforts to establish vertical gardens and rooftop nurseries. To get the kids involved, families can visit Gardeners’ Day Out, which happens the third Saturday of each month at HortPark. Little ones can join activities like storytelling and handicrafts such as making pressed flower bookmarks and leaf printing. You can also pick out new plants, consult a plant doctor, harvest produce from the Edible Garden, learn from the experts and network with fellow gardening families.

41. Visit the President

June school holidays - istana

At least his place of work, that is! Sign up for a guided nature walk conducted hourly by NParks and the President’s Office during the Istana Hari Raya Puasa open house. You will get to see the Istana’s flora, fauna and biodiversity. Arrive early to beat the queue, as signing up and payment are done on the spot. Family packages are available. After you enter the Istana grounds, look for signs showing you where to register for the tours.
