In Singapore, one in five pregnancies ends in miscarriage and yet there is still so much silence shrouded around the all-too-common topic of infant loss. When expectant couples are beset by this unfortunate event, they are also saddled with the emotional baggage, mental health fallout, shame, isolation, and grief that comes with it.

‘Until Death’ unpacks and explores grief in all its forms by presenting how people grieve differently when dealing with loss. What does it mean for a couple to navigate the aftermath of this life-altering event? How does the heartbreak of a miscarriage drive a couple into a battle for the ashes?

Inspired by films like Marriage Story, Kramer Vs Kramer, Pieces of a Woman, and the play Loose Ends by Michael Weller, this production weaves together narratives from popular culture and the THC ensemble’s own personal experiences to create a sometimes heartbreaking and sometimes humorous story.
