Workshop: Sustainability + Pottery
Trainer Aida Khalid shares concerns about the origins of materials used in manufacturing, and where they finally end up. Pottery is used as an illustration of sustainable circular economy. In creating pottery, clay is extracted from soil. This has little impact on our environment. Furthermore, clay does not release any toxic gas, and is easy to recycle. This workshop will teach you the basics of pottery and give you a better understanding of how to keep our environment sustainable.

Workshop: Sashiko Workshop
In this workshop participants will learn techniques of mending and take pleasure in this meaningful experience from indigo expert Felix Nai. This traditional Japanese method of embroidery or stitching is used both for decorative and/or functional purposes. The techniques use simple straight stitches to secure different fabrics while creating new ones in the process.
