bites & vibes, foodpanda’s ultimate block party
Sun Sep 1 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
foodpanda’s ultimate foodie block party, bites & vibes, will be taking over Amoy Street for its second edition on Sunday, 1st September! With over 7,000 attendees last year, bites & vibes is returning bigger and better in 2019.
This high energy block party will have an array of festivities throughout the day – from a multitude of F&B options to live music, DJs and family-friendly games, and wellness activities. Open to all ages and free to enter, bites & vibes will continue to be a minimal-waste, plastic-free event, aligned with foodpanda’s sustainability mission.
DEVOUR THE BITES
bites & vibes 2019 will bring together a wide selection of food & beverage choices for partygoers. Guests will be spoilt for choice and can indulge in classic burgers from 25 Degrees, join in the “dirty health movement” with Mexican food from Chico Loco, good ‘ol fried Southern fried chicken from Chix Hot Chicken to crowd favourites Sarnies, Babasan (previously known as Uncle Kiisu) and Fill a Pita. For lighter bites, from nachos to herb fries to samosas, get your fix from Kinara, Don Ho and Kult Kafe. The Acai Collective will also be on hand for you to keep energised and refreshed!
To quench your thirst, bartenders from Ginett Singapore, Asia Pacific Brewery and William Grant & Sons will be ready to shake up and stir refreshing cocktails and beverages. foodpanda’s Chill-Out Area is a brand-new addition this year, where guests are invited to have a drink or two under the shaded canopy.
SOAK IN THE VIBES
Before grooving non-stop to the music, entertainment and activities, attendees can get primed and festival-ready at the Face Painting station.
Attendees can expect to bounce to the beats of DJ Heffny – besides delivering his fresh R&B beats at the top clubs around the world, from Singapore to Bali, Sydney and Los Angeles, he is also one of foodpanda’s top riders, delivering delicious food right to Singaporeans’ doorsteps. Local indie bands Bakers in Spaceand Stopgap will also be rocking out on bites & vibes’ main stage.
Throughout the day, vibe along to the beats of KiDG, the resident DJ for popular events such as Poptart, Guilty Pleasures, and Tiko Disko, along with DJ Orio and James Selva. Returning festival favourites, Bari Rumbles Brass, will also be making their way down the street multiple times throughout the day.
If getting a good Sunday workout is on their list, attendees can take part in the free fitness classes from Athlete-Lab Singapore and BalletBody. Attendees can register for a host of classes ranging from yoga to exercises inspired from a classical ballet class.
GO GREEN, GO PLASTIC-FREE
Continuing with foodpanda’s sustainability mission, this year’s bites & vibes will be a minimal waste event. In a bid to eliminate single-use plastic water bottles, foodpanda will be providing water dispensers along the street for attendees to fill up their reusable water bottles on the go. Supporting this shared commitment, all participating vendors will also be going plastic-free, using biodegradable packaging.
