The childcare centres at CCK crescent are at blk 686D and 688C..
CreativeLand (686D) is charging lesser that ElfaLearning (688C).. not sure which is better thou
 
Hi moms,

I proposed on weekend as I'm a working myself. I prefer to do it in the morning as after the "playgroup" we can spend rest of our day with our family.

Well, looks like response for this week is not good. I will give a final try, I hope this time round this group will be successful.

Since we are holding it outdoors, anything after 9.30am will be too hot for our kids. Do let me know.
 
Hi moms,

Though I wish to have this "playgroup" started, I don't think its easy to fit to every moms busy schedule and response very poor. I've been trying to start this since April and I don't think I will ever get this kickoff, such I will have this playgroup call off permanently.

I need help urgently. Any cck mummies know babysitter in cck crescent? My nanny temporary can't look after my 10mth girl due to health problem. I've a 3 yrs old son also, my mum look after him. My mum can't cope with 2 kids as my son having playgroup classes. Now my mum temporary looking after them, she complain very tedious.
URGENT HELP !

My gal had her first shave at QB house when she was 4months. hehe cheap and clean. But u can find better ones at suntec and ue square. I can't rem the salon name, but they specialise in haircuts for kids. Maybe later, i check it out and update u.

Glee - I brought my kids to a auntie who cuts hair at home, I think 691A or B, cannot remember..only $3...
Charlotte - My boy is attending Full time child care at Greenfield Montessori at Hong San Walk, but taking a school bus.

Sarah, No name: Did you all have any bad experience with Greenfield? I will be withdrawing my kids by end of this month.... cos really need time to outsource for a non air-con infant &amp; childcare.

I got a shock of my life when i learnt something from one of the parents who used to place their kids there, (they even show me a clip which they recorded with their hp) &amp; ex-helpers of Greenfield.I did not believe it at first but when i saw the clip, i asked the withdrawal form the next day! I really cannot imagine this sort of thing can happen and i am going to lodge a complaint to MCYS cos this is quite serious. I am going to make sure MCYS will take some action against this Greenfield.

hi mummies, i am staying in teck whye lane and looking for a childcare center to place my daughter in. preferably around this area so my maid don't have to go too far off when fetching her.

nirvana, why did you decide to take your kids off greenfields? they are not good?

any other mums have good childcare experiences to share with me? i rang kinderland next to lot 1 for next year enrolment and they are full already (so sad). my second choice ie learning ladder is not conducting classes for 2007 babies next year - no reason given.

so scared no centers for baby now.... please help give suggestions. thanks.

I'm looking for playgroup for DS when he turns 18 months old. Any recommendation for playgroup in CCK?
I called edufarm regarding their once a week star tots gym &amp; star tots music class for 18mths-3yrs old @ Blk 685C &amp; Blk 690A Choa Chu Kang Crescent. They said they'll open class once they have enuff number, so in the waiting list now.
Anyone ever tried edufarm playgroup before?
 
There's CC near my place-Elfa @ Blk 688C Choa Chu Kang Crescent. Looks not bad, but never tried before. But I was shocked the other day when I saw a teacher scold some children in public when they were practicing dance @ the void deck near by. Think they are practicing for a dance performance. See the children , so pitiful, cos teacher is screaming @ them becos they can't remember the steps. Dun know if it's standard practice @ other CC too cos some kinds can be noti. But I won't be sending my son there~

I never tried edufarm b4, just try it.

Ya, I've heard my ex classmate tell me Blk 688C Elfa teachers is horrible. So she send her daughter to Blk 685D Creativeland.

Last time I send my elder son to Blk 668 Spark playgroup, the teacher not bad, quite patient.
But at least 30mths then can enrol, must know how to talk some basic words.

I went for tumbletots trial a few weeks back-45 mins class)But I find the class a bit messy, with crying babies, uncooperative babies ( including mine lah~ lol). I think it's because there are so many babies(more than 10) in the class. But the teachers told me that they'll be opening another session to split the class beacuse of the number. So I guess it should be better. You can go for trial class @ $23. But I'm not joining cos the teachers and the activities din really get my son's attention.He keep trying to wander ard. SO will try to find other playgroups.

I've tried tumbletots when my son turn 2, I don't really like their teaching method. My son is quite similar 2 ur son, wandering ard, but the teachers doesnt bother even my son has been wandering quite some time.
 
Sarahng, rite, rite. In the end, I'm the one cathing and playing with my son @ tumbletots.
I went for "my gym" trial @ woodlands civic centre when my son is 11months old. He really enjoyed the class. The teachers there are also friendlier and able to get him interested in the activites. I find the class @ "my gym" worth the money too~. But it is a bit too far.

Anybody have any experience with appletree playgroup?

me too, saw her scolding before, think it's 2-3 yrs ago. also in public, when they were practising the dance for some performance or so.

btw, i'm at 692A, with 2 gals born Oct 04 and Jul 07.
