Wah so many postings over the last 2hrs!
Pinky, during #1's time, I took 4 mths npl, so i only went back to work when my son was almost 9 mths old. This time round I didnt really want to take npl, but felt that it might be unfair to #2 and also when i went back to work that time, my milk supply dropped by half. so scared that i wont be able to breastfeed #2 till 6 mths, so decided just be on leave till she is 6 mths old loh hehe.
I have to start my 5-day course of antibiotics from today till 15 Oct due to my history of strep b during #1's time. Although this time is C-sect, gynae is playing safe, in case my water bag breaks before 16 Oct. so gotta take the antibiotics just in case of strep b. aiyoh, i dunno if im "allergic" to augmentin or it's psychological, cos i felt like puking after taking it this morning. It reminded me of my 1st trimester days when i had fever and had to take augmentin and after 30min, straight away will puke, that's why had to admit to hospital for IV antibiotics. I tried my best not to vomit just now.....good thing i could still stomach my Swensens lunch and sticky chew chocolate hehe
but it's so sian that for my last final 5 days, i will have to battle with nausea cos of Augmentin!
Litprince, wah.....so tough to return to work after only 6 weeks! actually, i find that it might be easier to go back to work earlier than later, cos the longer you stay at home, the greater the inertia to go back to work. but 6 weeks really a bit too short, weight also havent lose yet. hahaha.
Xu4n, yes, im also in Oct FB group. One of my #1 thread mommy created the Oct FB group very early on (think was in March) and added me before i even started contributing to the forum. quite confusing to read both Oct FB and Nov FB. that's y i still prefer posting on Nov forum. haha. easier to read and track. Now Oct FB is all about different mommies popping.....i lost track already!
Gwen, I sent my #1 to IFC only when he was 1 yo. I actually dun mind sending earlier but my hb thinks the baby is too fragile. No offence towards NTUC or PAP IFCs, but recently abuse cases are all NTUC and PAP cases. if you can afford, you might want to consider the private IFCs instead, cos i think they probably have more budget to employ better teachers (cos they pass the costs back to the parents through higher school fees) and you will also have a better peace of mind.
