We also observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), a cause close to our hearts. Octoburst! – A Children’s Festival October 2022

Dress in your party best and celebrate Children’s Day with PIP and friends at this year’s Octoburst! Leading the way with great fanfare are young talents from the Kinderland Preschool Marching Band and Kids’ Philharmonic Orchestra. Young audiences can participate in interactive programmes such as a K-pop mass dance, move-along performance, and sing-along sessions. Create your own paper pom-poms and go hunting for PIP. Or simply watch out for PIP’s meet-and-greets!

Deepavali Open House

Deepavali Open House October 2022

Experience the annual Little India Deepavali street light-up from a different perspective on the first-ever Deepavali Big Bus Tour! Then get your #OOTD as festive decorations along Campbell Lane beckon you into the Indian Heritage Centre. Trishaw trails, heritage walking trails, and other drop-in activities await, such as interactive storytelling sessions for kids. You can contribute to a rangoli-inspired LEGO mural and decorate oil lamps too!

Seeing the Invisible

The second season of the Seeing the Invisible augmented reality (AR) art exhibition comes to Gardens by the Bay. It features immersive works by 12 international artists, including this one by Mohammed Kazem. According to co-curator Tal Michael Haring, the interplay of these AR artworks in vibrant natural settings breaks down the binary between ‘natural’ versus ‘digital’. Simply download a special app to view the artworks through your devices and even interact with some of the pieces.

Patricia Piccinini: We Are Connected

Patricia Piccinini: We Are Connected

Enter a wondrous universe of beautifully bizarre hybrids and strange new beings at Patricia Piccinini: We Are Connected. The artist’s hyper-realistic sculptures depict a possible evolution of lifeforms emerging from today’s technological age. At its core, a call for more kindness and acceptance among humankind. Kids get to create their own imagined hybrid friend in drop-in sessions on the last Friday of every month.

Singapore’s longest-running race to raise funds to give kids equal opportunities to realise their dreams returns with the first-ever hybrid POSB PAssion Run for Kids. Sign up and spend a meaningful Sunday morning at the physical event on 30 October. Along the 3-km route, enjoy eco-friendly activities, including Plogging, beach clean-up, and more. PINK RIBBON TIME

With early detection, breast cancer is highly treatable and curable. But women from underprivileged families may not have access to life-saving mammograms. To bridge this gap, 365 Cancer Prevention Society and Icon Cancer Centre need our help. Their second #My1stMammo campaign aims to raise $80,000 to sponsor mammograms for low-income women aged 40 and above. Every contribution of $10 or more makes a difference.
