My nos. 1 I attended Kkh antenatal class. But I ended up csect. Nothing come in handy. Most important is who is take care of the baby upon discharge. Confinement nanny? For me, is my mum. She took care of my 2nephews n doing confinement. I learn from her. But she got no experience on BF. This one u need to go learn from latching consultation during my stay in hospital. Heehee

Yup, if bought the new bed for my elder son, it would be beside the master bed...and gotta shift the master bed to make sufficient space for the new bed
Oh I see. Then I think maybe better not la, master bed more sensitive. I'm also thinking of shifting my son to a toddler bed so that we can use the crib for #2, but his is in his own room. I haven't quite figure out how to prevent him from simply sliding off the bed n having his own party in his room after I shut the door at night though. Now he's in the crib he bo bian, at most walk a few rounds then he will lay down to sleep.

If she has not done a GD check, maybe ask doctor to check? I think doctor is asking to control diet.
Sometimes babies are just genetically bigger (could be either u or ur wife was a big baby last time).
If i am not wrong, usually doctors will be comfortable with up to 3.5kg to do natural delivery (not all doctors, some are willing to allow further weight gain but this sounds like the most common guideline).
If bb is too big, induction is ok as long as ur wife is already 37 weeks. Or else doctor may suggest C section. There is also chance of induction failure which may end in emergency C section, so it is up to u all (some ppl chose to do C section straight while others like me go ahead with induction and hope for the best).
I personally wld not go with a natural delivery once baby is too big cos one of my friends did it and had bad experience. Ended up baby was stuck and had to be forcefully pulled out. There was an injury to baby in the end, which required physiotherapy.

Hi Ladies, about moving of things in bedroom. For bed that we are able to place stuff below. Is it OK to ask someone lift the bed and take things from there ? Not sure, if it is considered moving of bed.

Ya! I wonder how he can zzz when he's not in his cot. Very hard to make him zzz and esp he's so comfy in it. I did suggest to hubs to buy another cot but it will be stupid cos he's going to outgrow it v soon..take it as it comes lo, bo bian

You mean storage bed is it? I did some moving of stuff after hubs lifted the bed. So far ok. That was 2 years back

My son was pulled out using forceps cos he was about 3.5-3.6kg. there was a red mark on one of the temples and it was quite heartbreaking to see that mark. Could have pushed harder if I had known forceps had to be used. Fortunately, I did not have to undergo e C sec and yes, some induced cases ended up in e-c-sec

Sometimes it's genetic. Some babies are naturally bigger. Just remind ur wife to eat normally n healthily.
The weight given is really just an estimation. I was told that my baby was 3.2kg four days before EDD. So I opt to b induced only on my EDD n natural birth. But my baby was 3.95 kg at birth. N if only we had known, we would have induced earlier or go for C sect. There's really no 100% certainty for pregnancy n delivery.

I agree. I feel that Wong Boh Boi's classes are overrated. I attended her classes and I felt that the money was wasted. I think reading books and watching videos on YouTube would be better than attending her classes cos u r really just watching her demo from afar. Sometimes, the view might be blocked due to the huge class size. The antenatal classes at the hospitals might be better too cos smaller class size n they charge less.

Gan, 1-July is very soon, exciting ! A sibling for your #1. Do you feel as excited this time as having #1 ? After all these years, its like a brand new feeling again. As my youngest turned 3, I'm missing the smell of a newborn bb...haha.

for me, personally, i would stay put in SG and wait till the baby is delivered safely. The rest can wait.

Hahaha...ikr!!! I feel as if I'm attending yoga or breathing technique class instead. Not to mention she keeps selling herself. The 1 and only hands-on lesson is so rushed that I can hardly remember anything other than the grouchy dummy baby we picked up from our seat & self-entertained ourselves with it.

Knowing how hard we've gone through and tried to have our babies, I personally wouldn't risk it & regret if anything happens. Not to mention my 1st trimester was a bumpy ride with spotting and bleeding in between. So it's only logical for us to stay put in SG till the babies are safely delivered.

I attended Wong Boh Boi class about 3 years ago, she was actually very upfront about it. She openly tell participants that prefer smaller class size to attend other session that was conducted by her fellow workmate.
Her class is fill to the brink, for folks that do not like big class should really take her advice and attend class taught by others which I think will be pretty good too.
Personally I enjoyed her class and learnt much from her, she was also very kind to show up at my ward after my girl was born. She watch how I & my ah lao feed my baby girl and corrected my ah lao technique.

I just went for babymoon with the blessing of my gynae.
I probably wouldn't have gone if wasn't my miles are expiring.
Select your destination carefully because you want to avoid risk areas.
Beside, we cannot do long hours shopping; neither can we do hiking/long walk etc. Therefore there's a limitation on what you can do.
So, we just went to a colder place to rest and relax.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed the trip as hub and I spend quality time together, plus we will be busy with the baby in no time.
Anyway, if you have concern then just stay put. Don't add unnecessary stress
Ok, shall only use my eye power.

I went for babymoon earlier this month to Bali, when I was 18 weeks. Had the green light from gynae since my pregnancy was smooth so far. Did a fair bit of walking and massage also (those pregnancy specific type). In fact I'll be going on a trip to Germany next month also, which was planned before I got pregnant. My gynae also knew about this upcoming trip and said it's a go (pending next visit of course) provided I take some precautions due to the long distance flight.
For me I take it as a relaxation before baby comes, and second tri is the time when it's most comfortable for travel during during pregnancy. I also had the green light from my gynae and didn't have any absolute contraindications to travel. Of course do research on the place you intend to go and ultimately it's up to your comfort level to decide whether to go or have a staycation.

Actually, don't talk about the mummy, if the BB is out with a good weight, it would be easier..I have a friend who gave birth to a 3.7kg girl without epidural, all natural. Sounds siong, but can be done with abit of luck and doc's help (so long as don't compromise baby and mummy)

Bb have been very demanding lately (esp at night ) n he is coming 2 month...as much as l am very happy he feed so much it is very taxing on me at the same time (as after feeding him,I express bm)
So by the time I get any rest, soon he will wan to feed again...I have no helper n hubby tried to help feed 1 time at least in the night to help out. Day time my mum help me although but she Is not young anymore I also find taxing for her .
I ever suggested hiring a helper but my mum is very against it as she dun like stranger to tag to her.

Your BB may be experiencing growth spurt which he needs more milk or if you are breastfeeding, it may be comfort latching. I think during this period, you may need to give in to his demands. If need be, perhaps you may want to top it up with formula so that it may not be so taxing for you.
