6-8 weeks time is good for you to start seeing gynae after your last menstrual cycle. However, if you have irregular period, maybe it's best to visit gynae asap once you have positive pregnancy test. During first time visit, gynae will give folic acid which is important esp during the first trimester to prevent birth defects. If you wait until 6-8 weeks, you will be able to see the sac and listen to your baby's heartbeat. earlier, may not observe anything much. hope it helps.!
