When did you start hiring confinement lady?

Hi ladies, as I have two losses before (one around the stage at which I m now - 14 weeks), can I ask what's the best time to start engaging a confinement nanny?

I don't want to book too early cos I m fearful but if I don't book soon, I might not get a good one as my EDD is during peak season in December.

Also how long did you keep your nanny for? My friends said anything from two months to more.

Lastly what are the things that I should ask when I interview one? Thk you!

Actually if you want to book good ones. Suggest that you book as soon as gynae has confirmed your pregnancy. I was around week 16-18 when I tried to book one that was highly recommended in forums. Her name is Elaine. But she is already booked during my Edd. I got no choice but to engage PEM agency. I have heard many bad reviews abt this agency, but I really need help after delivery as I'm going through c sect and will be home alone with baby and Edd is in oct. i was afraid I won't be able to engage a nanny if I book later. My Friend also went through PEM and she got a good nanny, who has been booked by others when I requested for her. I think this one is Heng or suay de bah
