A boy and a girl, so lovely!! Congratulations mommy for making till full term for your precious twins. Did you experience natural birth? I wonder how it feels like to give birth to twins with their weight above 3kg, Heheh.. I am sure you feel so heavy carrying them till 37weeks. I am real excited to get my babies home soon. Hope for good news tomorrow.

Nope. I went thru c-sec. Yes, i always suffer from legs pain after 28 weeks as my tummy is really big. Total weigh gain for the whole pregnancy is 18kgs.
God bless! Hope your babies are fine & healthy.
Please avoid grc maid agency...previously jolly maid agency. Very bad experience with them.Hi mummies, i thinking of getting a maid, any trusted agency to recommend?
HI, I am looking for a confinement nanny for twin confinement. Any contacts to share?
My EDD is 8 July 2014, but i think since it is twin preg, babies may come out earlier.. possibly mid june 2014.

Hi cupcake 123Hi. I'm new!
Currently stepping into my 11th week with twins. I heard that once I cross to the 2nd trimester, I am in a safer zone? *cross fingers*
Anyone heading to private hospital? I am now with KKH cos I am afraid that twins might be prematured and will need the neonatal care which can be sky rocket high at private hospitals. The thing is.....I went to ask for the pricing from KKH and as I am paying as a private patient, I seem to be paying even more than my friend who delivered at Thomson Medical Emergency C-section (Singleton). Anyone can advise?
ooh.. thats bad! end up, i didnt take PEM also. cos they were very pushy and didnt want to commit on the nanny available for twins. so we didnt take them.Pls avoid PEM. I had bad experience with this agency and the nanny. When i request to change the nanny, the agent will tell you they has limited nanny who is available for twins and unable to do re-placement so soon. The problem is i can't wait. The nanny kept coughing when carrying my babies!!!

Hi to all! I tested HCG level positive back in January and finally yesterday went for the ultrasound.. Confirm to be having twins that will be due on 4th October!! They both measured 5.4 weeks yesterday. This is our first children, so we are really excited for the pair to come out and complete our life as a family.
Was at KKH subsidised clinic and the wait was terribly long yest as the doc went for 2 emergency deliveries during our wait yest. Anyone has got recommendations of gynae capable of delivering twins? Open to private hospitals as well.
Congrats! If you plan to be a private patient, I'd recommend Prof Arijit Biswas from NUH who specialises in delivering multiples. He delivered my twins and personally, I find him a careful and reassuring doctor. Despite his busy schedule, he doesn't rush through consultations and no questions are too silly for him to answer. Ave waiting time is abt 20-40mins depending on your apptm time.Hi to all! I tested HCG level positive back in January and finally yesterday went for the ultrasound.. i gave birth to twins!
Be strong mommy! God bless, hope your babies are fine & healthy...Hi all, I had disappeared for quite some time cos I was battling with pprom at kkh for a week and contractions came so I had to deliver them at 24weeks. Babies still fighting in nicu, I'm praying everyday for their health and wellbeing. I met other mommies at nicu and we gave each other strength to move on so I'm pretty glad to meet them! Life isn't easy but I have to be strong cos my mood affects the milk I'm pumping for them.
I'm amazed by kkh service esp the delivery Ward and nicu nurses. Even I stayed at b2 + Ward, they managed to downgrade my babies to class c for nicu cost so it really lightened my burden. Anyways I'm taking one step at a time and only time will tell..
thanks!!! i hope i can last till full term too. only 19 weeks and i feel like i am probably 6mths pregnant. btw, is it advisable to walk or do some swimming now? or should we just totally avoid it to be able to last till full term?I did nothing. Just be extra careful when last trimester as i tummy was really big
No bed rest prior to giving birth too but i tried to rest more in order to last till full term..
Good luck sugar bunny! babies will be fine. stay positive!..Be strong mommy! God bless, hope your babies are fine & healthy...
HI: i am currently a private patient at KKH with Dr June Tan. Concurrently, I am still seeing my previous gynae from Thomson. I compared the prices.. the consultation fees for KKH as a private patient is in fact slightly more expensive ( KKH is $110 vs Thomson of $80 to $90). however, the scan fees for KKH is cheaper- at $28 vs $50 for thomson and getting the vitamins from KKH's pharmacy is cheaper. overall, i think if we are a private patient at KKH, the charges we pay are not necessarily cheaper compared to the private clinics and waiting time is also as long. but i am at KKH as a backup just in case babies are premature and i need to deliver them early and they need to stay in the NICU. cos i heard that if you are not a patient at KKH, they may refer you to other hospitals when you go there for emergency. and i checked with the nurses, if we are a private patient at KKH, we see the fixed doctor right to before we give birth. and if we opt for C class, then it will just be any doc on duty doing the delivery but at least we can still get the subsidy for the delivery and for the babies to pay C class rates if they need to stay in NICU.Hi. my sister was also with Dr June Tan previously for her triplets, So i just followed her and take Dr June Tan. Overall, June Tan is quite a nice lady, very approachable, soft spoken and gentle. she doesnt rush through if you have alot of questions. I see that she has quite a number of patients seeing her and appointments are always full, so i presume she should be quite good. of course, comparing her to my previousy gynae at Thomson, i still prefer my previous gynae cos she has my history and she is more motherly and more on the ball. June Tan sometimes appear to be very laid back and doesnt talk much. So you need to go to her with all sort of questions. She will usually be patient to answer any questions. but if you are the type that doesnt ask alot, then she will also not say much. i don't have much complains about the doctors in KKH. Rather, I am just not very happy with the way the restructured hospital works. i think it is mainly because they are shorthanded. For example, i had so far 3 appointments with June Tan and out of 3, 2 of them got rescheduled. they only inform me about the rescheduling by sending me a letter- which I think it can be done via a phone call and i can communicate whether i can make it a not. By just sending me a letter, it seems like I have no choice but to accept it. Originally, my detailed scan is on 19 Feb at KKH and i will also see June tan on 19 Feb. now, they changed my appt to 28 Feb but i still have to go to KKH to do my detailed scan on 19 Feb. which means i have to take another day of leave. I am trying hard not to take so much leave as I am afraid i need to be on bed rest subsequently etc and then such annual leave or medical leave will be so precious then. also, they don't have saturday appointments, so every appointment means we have to take at least 1/2 day of annual leave or medical leave. however, i am at KKH because of the facilities there for the babies in case anything happens.Hi, how is your feedback on DR June Tan? I am short listing her for my gynae. Currently looking for fixed gynae at KKH private suite as I'm Lso afraid of the complications and KKH is more abled to handle them when the time comes.

the detailed scan is done at the antenatal screening center. Btw, i am paying private rates but i see June tan at the specialist clinic and not the private suite. I asked the nurse why am i not at private suite and they say private suite is Fully booked. I felt cheated. paying private rates but not really enjoying private service. the nurse say there is no difference. but i remember when i was with my sis at TPS, the environment is much better and nurses are much better.. service is much better and waiting time is definitely not as long. well.thats like 2 yrs plus ago when my sis was at TPS. I guess the short handedness at the hospital is creating such issues. As u already have a fixed gynae at TPS, the detailed scan appt is done at the specialist clinic or at the TPS?

Hi all, I am in my 26th week now.. time flies.. I feel like a penguin more with each passing day but glad that my babies are still growing in my tummy!
Gynae has prescribed me new med in the prevention of pre-term labour. Now I am on Nifedipine and Duphaston 3x a day. If I am ok to the side effects of Nifedipine, gynae will increase my dosage at the next checkup!
By the way I signed up for aquafitness class at KKH, starting 8 Mar. Anyone tried this before?
Aqua fitness sounds interesting. Held inside kkh premises?
Hi mummies, can I check how much did u pay for your confinement lady for your twins?
I was quoted $3.3k but the confinement lady cannot do much. She still needs my maid to help her to do most of the thing ie wash babies clothes, feed the babies, wash all the cooking stuff. Not worth paying so much unless the confinement lady is good. Pls avoid PEM if possible. ThksThanks lindaboo. I got quotes for 3k plus. Just checking if that is the norm.
