Hi there, welcome.
Do u have subclinical hypo- or hyper-thyroidism cos both are mentioned in yr post? u prob mean hypo and TPO antibody , not antibiotics?
Have u re-do your bloodtest after TCM? is it improving? Will be good to know.
i have borderline sub clinical hypo, cos had thyroid nodules and removed one side. I did managed to conceive but cannot sustain my pregnancy, thyroid level could be one of the possibility. only started meds after. still trying.
yes , as yahisaMai said, Levothyroxine is the standard western meds. (Glad to hear u managed to stabilised yr conditions, YajisaMai
). I am also taking Lexothyroxine and TSH under 2 is good and optimal level of TSH for pregnancy is 1, cos the moment u are pregnant, baby will need yrs to support.
If u have high TPO, there could be autoimmune conditions like hashimoto, not sure if that's what u mean? if u have tried taking the standard levo thyroxine (T4), and don't get better ... there are alternatives like Armour thyroid, or combination of T3/T4 compound. very few doc in Sg prescrib. Need to find more progressive doc, and there are.
With thyroid or hormone related, it takes time to fine tune your levels, and finding a doctor that will work with u.
I recommend this book and hypothyroidmom.com website for info.
"Your Healthy Pregnancy with Thyroid Diseases"
by hypothyroidmom.com founder Dana Trentini and Mary Shomon .
hope this helps and baby dusts to u too!
