alot pple are say dr fong yang at paragon is good i thin care at paragon also good ihave their contact no. 63338608. i myself seeing another gynae at MT E doc nair he's very patient but i think he's very ex and too busy.. but he's always very assuring contact. 68874264. i also see TCM - ying chuan medical is in the thread, u can read on her to decide. personally i still trust her alot & think she's very encouraging.

oh ya forget to add, the gynae i just recommend are fertility specialist. see a fertility specialist not normal gynae if you think u have a prob ya. they are really different but also more proactive & ex so go for it only wn u are mentally prepare to go thru IUI IVF kind of thing & financially prepare to invest...
You can try Dr Suresh Nair (Gynecology Consultants, Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre), but I really wouldn't recommend it. He's a really nice guy but his waiting room is always packed. I used to sit there for hours before getting a chance to (finally!) talk to him for a minute or two. And he costs a fortune! Saw him for almost one and a half years and nothing came of it.
Finally succeeded with Dr Loh Seong Feei at KK Hospital. He's a really sweet man too (very calm!) but his waiting room is no less crowded. His fees are a bit less though and he made my husband and I very happy after many years of waiting for a baby.

hi, I am also married for two years, but no good news yet. So my hubby and I went to KK Subfertility Clinic. We went through a series of test, but all results show that we are healthy. May be you can consider to go for the test to check out is there any problem.

First of all i will suggest both you and your hubby go for a check up at KKH. my husband did his sperm tests and i after much delay and miscommunication went for a HSG scan( a very detailed xray of the womb to see if my fallopian tubes are blocked or not) last month. We were seeing Dr Loh , a fertility specialist there. And before we could get the results of my hubby's latest sperm test and my HSG on the 17th November, i was pregnant.
Then i booked an appointment with my prefereed gynae from KKH Dr. Benjamin Tham and he revealed that sometime doing the HSG for women could help in conceiving though it was not scientifically proven.+p
In any case, a HSG and sperm test is a must to begin with. My own experience says it's better to seek advice with the professionals sooner.

Hi I tried for 2 years too and a old mother to be (already 38). I recently just got preg. I used on-line ovulation calculator and both me and my hubby take tonic (the ready pill type) to strengthen our bodies. If in doubt on what to take consult Chinese Sinseh. For TCM on infertility, try Tong Ji Yi Yuan but remember TCM takes time. Have patience. Good Luck!

However, my husband is not enthusiastic for having another kid. So he doesn't want to spend money in cash for my treatment. But he allows me to use his medisave to pay for treatment. Hi Ratna, think only the restructured hospitals (ie non private) hospitals accept medisave...and even then, it's 50% copay if both are Singaporeans. You might want to check out the info at this link for more details. Good luck!

Hi everyone,
Not sure if this thread is still live, I've been married for 2 yrs but disappointed every month. I just went for HSG and my hubby sperm test. My HSG result is good, but my hubby's sperm quantity and quality is poor. Dr recommend him to take tribestan for 3 months and redo a sperm test to see if it helps.
Anyone knows if tribestan works?

hi, I have also been trying for 1 year....disappointed every month. I'm already in my mid-30s so can't help being anxious. I've gone through all the gynae checks and so has hubby. All are okay...and we also use the ovulation kits every month but still...nothing.
I never knew that this ttc journey can be so lonely... i try and not get emotional but when i see friends who just marry and gets pregnant soon after, it makes me want to cry. Attending baby showers and birthdays are becoming increasingly difficult. The sight of my AF every month brings me to tears..
I really don't want to go down the IVF route..all the pills and jabs involved..
I'm now in my 2 week wait...got no pregnancy symptoms so I can't help feeling down again just thinking of when AF will come.

hello everyone here, I really want to help. Just hear what I have to say and I think its ok to try something very natural and stress free.
This is my personal view after understanding more about healthcare. I think everyone needs to be give our body a good dose of micronutrients, we used to think not to get supplements, but if you relook into our daily diet, it may be possible that our body may not get sufficient nutrition for it to function optimally.
You see, when we lack certain minerals or vitamins, we won't die or our organs won't shut down immediately, but our body may have to compensate somehow for the lack of these mocronutrients. I know of this antioxidant scan that can look at how healthy we are by checking our antioxidant score. It tells us whether whatever we do, our lifestyle, food intake, exercise is enough to keep us healthy today.
For me, this is a wonderful tool that helps me monitor whether I've done enough for my body. What has this got to do with ability to conceive? Well, i believe if we are not even doing enough for our own body, logically, its very difficult to 'create' another life in this 'starved' body of ours. I would like to suggest that you look at scanning yourself, then supplement yourself accordingly and with God's grace and blessiing, you shld be on your way to conceive. This is all that I can help. hi all...i'm married for 4 years now. earlier i have no plans to have kids so we didnt even try. but i think the maternal instinct has finally kicked in. I wanna have my own baby now.
But i'm not keen to have a dragon baby...i think the competition will be too intense for my kid next time. So i'm thinkin of having a baby the following year. So I can possibly start trying end april 2012 onwards. is it really difficult to conceive? I have a lot of people telling me its not so simple. i will be 29 next yr and my hub 34.
i heard about taking folic acid even before conceiving. is it true? how long before should i start taking? do i need to see a gynae?
i'm thinking of doing some tests and checks before conceiving. anyone done that before? what do u test for? how much is it?

hi guys...i have a little trouble understanding my ovulation cycle. most ovulation calculator ask for your number of days of cycle. thats the problem i don't know.
I have tracked my period since last year:
30 Sept - 4 Oct to 28 Oct - 1 Nov : 23 days
28 Oct - 1 Nov to 22 Nov - 26 Nov : 20 days
22 Nov - 26 Nov to 17 Dec - 21 Dec : 20 days
17 Dec - 21 Dec to 12 Jan - 16 Jan : 21 days
Whether its 20, 21, 22, 23 all the way to 28 days cycle makes a big difference to the fertility period leh. I duno how to track leh.
Anyone can advice?

Your cycles look normal to me. You should have calculate the days based on the first day of period last month to first day of this month.

Ann: You can start to take folic acid before & after you conceive. You need not see a gynae for folic acid. Can get from Guardian/Watson
Just went to have 2 scans yesterday at KKH; transvaginal and pelvis ultrasound scans.
According to the sonographer, she said that if the transvaginal scan did not manage to scan the fallopian tubes, it means that the tubes are not blocked
Btw, does anyone here knows if I have a faint double line on my O-test strip on CD13 but nothing on CD14, CD15 and CD16, does this meant that my O-days are on CD12-13?

I found I've adenomyosis in my uterus a month before I got married and the gynae said my opportunity to have a child only 1-2% and he even dare to say in a cold emotion that will better I lift up all my womb. I stopped trying anything until I opened my laptop and just let my fingers to find any infos about having a child.
I plan to try to find solution in singapore doctor and many of my friends suggested me to Dr Charles Lim. I do not want to waste money for nothing and end up with more sadness. Any one here can help me,maybe you or your friends ever in the same situation like me, and can recommend me to a very good patient and really focus to patient's result in singapore?

Ann: I managed to conceive on my first try. My method is known as the Fertility Awareness Method. Prior to conception, I tracked my cycles for half a year according to this method and knew exactly when I ovulated, every single cycle. The method is free, all you need is a thermometer and the knowledge. PM me for more details.

Hi gals,
I just came across this thread and thought that maybe I can help to give some advice that I had just learnt from my TCM and research on my own….
I actually had a miscarriage 3 months ago. Before My miscarriage, I did not really take very good care of my health…. Even during pregnancy, I realized that I took for granted and continue taking junk food etc etc… After my miscarriage, I suddenly woke up and realized the importance of Health… So I done some research via Internet, Visited TCM to get my health back, Now Ready to TTC again…..
I also learn that Our Spleen and Kidney must be strong enough to carry enough Blood and Qi to our Womb to hold our Baby as our Blood got to transport Nutrients to the Womb for our Baby to survive.
For gals who really wish to TTC in a Natural way, Maybe you can try doing the below as advised by my TCM. Some of the advice are what i read from books and internet lately
1.Do Not take any more Cold Food/Drinks from now on.
2.NEVER NEVER take Tea/Liang Teh/Or any Cooling Stuff (in TCM term)
When I say Cooling Food, I meant food such as Cucumber, White Cabbage, Bitter Gourd, Watermelon, Green Tea, Cooling Chinese Tea, Barley Water etc etc

3.If you really have to Take Fruits such as Grapes/oranges/apples etc, Please make sure they are Not Cold. Best is to take more Durians/Jackfruits/Mangoes (Heaty Tropical fruits)
4.Get A TCM to “Tiaoyang” your Body. It works. Many look for TCM and got their rainbow Baby. Both Husbands and Wives need to See TCM. Its Mutual Effort.
5.Take Bazhen at least Once a Week. If you don’t know what is bazhen, you can ask around in medical halls, Bazhen is very important and Good for Ladies. It consist of 8 herbs that are essential for Women’s health. Go to Any Medical Hall, tell them you want Bazhen, they will give a Set of herbs for you. Just Throw the herbs into slow cooker and Boil for 2 – 3 hours. My TCM advised me to Add DOM one hour before Consumption. After adding DOM, let it boil for one hour before you drink. Just add half Cap of DOM will do (The Bottle Cap of DOM)
But Do Not Take Ba Zhen during Menses.
For Best effect, Take Ba Zhen within 7 days after menses ended.
6.Frequently drink Longan Red Date Tea. (Longan + Red Date Boil using Slow Cooker). My TCM advised me to take Everyday. But if you scared that it will be too heaty, do try drinking on alternate days. In My Longan Red date Tea, I added Wolfberries and Ginger too. Ginger help to dispel the wind in our body.
7.During Menses days, Change above Drink from Longan to using Black Sugar (Black Sugar + Red Dates boil using Slow Cooker). Add Ginger to this drink.
8.Don’t Drink Fresh Milk/Yogurt/Soyabean. But you can Drink Formula Milk Powder.
9.Exercise Frequently But Only Do Brisk Walking during Menses Period if you intend to TTC. Exercising help to smoothen the “Qi” & Blood flow in your Body. Get More Morning Sun for your Body is the most important Part.
10.If you are able to take DOM, take DOM every night after Dinner (Half Cap will do). If you can’t take, then don’t take.
Do Not Take DOM during Menses.
11.Sleep Early !!! This is very Important… Sleeping Late Disrupt your Qi and Blood flow, which hinders your TTC process too. Please try to sleep early. Wear Socks when you sleep.
12.Zinc and Selenium are Very Important for Fertility for Both Women and Men. Do Take more Natural Food with Zinc and Selenium nutrients.
13.For the Hubbies, Let them Take Folic Acid too during TTC. Folic Acid brings Motility to the Sperms.
14.Sometimes, Fertility issue lies with the Men. So Let your hubbies Eat more Walnuts, Tomatoes, Asparagus. These Are fertility food, Walnuts are Especially Good.

I just came across this thread and thought that maybe I can help to give some advice that I had just learnt from my TCM and research on my own….
I actually had a miscarriage 3 months ago. Before My miscarriage, I did not really take very good care of my health…. Even during pregnancy, I realized that I took for granted and continue taking junk food etc etc… After my miscarriage, I suddenly woke up and realized the importance of Health… So I done some research via Internet, Visited TCM to get my health back, Now Ready to TTC again…..
I also learn that Our Spleen and Kidney must be strong enough to carry enough Blood and Qi to our Womb to hold our Baby as our Blood got to transport Nutrients to the Womb for our Baby to survive.
For gals who really wish to TTC in a Natural way, Maybe you can try doing the below as advised by my TCM. Some of the advice are what i read from books and internet lately
1.Do Not take any more Cold Food/Drinks from now on.
2.NEVER NEVER take Tea/Liang Teh/Or any Cooling Stuff (in TCM term)
When I say Cooling Food, I meant food such as Cucumber, White Cabbage, Bitter Gourd, Watermelon, Green Tea, Cooling Chinese Tea, Barley Water etc etc

3.If you really have to Take Fruits such as Grapes/oranges/apples etc, Please make sure they are Not Cold. Best is to take more Durians/Jackfruits/Mangoes (Heaty Tropical fruits)
4.Get A TCM to “Tiaoyang” your Body. It works. Many look for TCM and got their rainbow Baby. Both Husbands and Wives need to See TCM. Its Mutual Effort.
5.Take Bazhen at least Once a Week. If you don’t know what is bazhen, you can ask around in medical halls, Bazhen is very important and Good for Ladies. It consist of 8 herbs that are essential for Women’s health. Go to Any Medical Hall, tell them you want Bazhen, they will give a Set of herbs for you. Just Throw the herbs into slow cooker and Boil for 2 – 3 hours. My TCM advised me to Add DOM one hour before Consumption. After adding DOM, let it boil for one hour before you drink. Just add half Cap of DOM will do (The Bottle Cap of DOM)
But Do Not Take Ba Zhen during Menses.
For Best effect, Take Ba Zhen within 7 days after menses ended.
6.Frequently drink Longan Red Date Tea. (Longan + Red Date Boil using Slow Cooker). My TCM advised me to take Everyday. But if you scared that it will be too heaty, do try drinking on alternate days. In My Longan Red date Tea, I added Wolfberries and Ginger too. Ginger help to dispel the wind in our body.
7.During Menses days, Change above Drink from Longan to using Black Sugar (Black Sugar + Red Dates boil using Slow Cooker). Add Ginger to this drink.
8.Don’t Drink Fresh Milk/Yogurt/Soyabean. But you can Drink Formula Milk Powder.
9.Exercise Frequently But Only Do Brisk Walking during Menses Period if you intend to TTC. Exercising help to smoothen the “Qi” & Blood flow in your Body. Get More Morning Sun for your Body is the most important Part.
10.If you are able to take DOM, take DOM every night after Dinner (Half Cap will do). If you can’t take, then don’t take.
Do Not Take DOM during Menses.
