Trying for #2

hi all!

so here's my story. We have a lovely 2 year old daughter and would love to try for a second. We have been trying for about a year now. I've just gone to the gynae since last cycle to ask for help since we have been trying for a year. It just seems like it is taking eternity because we got our daughter on our first try.

So far last cycle the gynae just scanned to check if I have a ready egg, which I did, so he gave me an injection to release the egg.

This cycle he put me on clomid (day2-6) and during the scan he gave an injection to release the eggs (3 eggs all about 20mm) and also started me on folic acid.

I really hope this cycle works! But then again I wished for every cycle to have worked but no good news yet.

Anyone else finding it hard with #2?

I m also about to try for #2 but as i just delivered my 1st child in August this year, not sure when will i be fertile or getting my period back again? I am eager to try so soon after my 1st child as I took almost a year to conceive my 1st one. Any advices?

I'm trying for #2 too. But people around me asked me not to think about it too much and just let natural take course.

Saih111, i feel it's ok to try for #2 as long as you & hubby feel ready for the challenges of handling 2 young kids with close age gap.

Some couple prefer #1 to be at least 3yrs old n more independent b4 trying #2. Some prefer to "suffer all the way now" with close age gap coz the momentum there already.

Due to age, I can't too long for #2 . I started trying for #2 when my #1 was 10mths old. Now we are bz with a 2yr old n her tantrums, and a 6mth old baby. It's tough physically, mentally & financially. But It's enjoyable to see the kids interact

Can I ask a question, I heard there's a fertile period of 6 mths after giving birth. So how can I conceive while still on breast feeding any advice?

U can get preg while breastfeeding n menses haven't return. A few mums in my grp strike #2 like tat, coz they thot bf + no menses = no baby.
Wat I heard is we r v fertile for 2yrs after delivery.

2 yrs of fertile after delivery? Not 6 mths? I was told 6 mths I'm due in July n we want to continue for 2nd straight. So I'm wondering if I'm still breast feeding can I still conceive at the same time?

No I mean after my due date in July I want to try for no 2 prob in sept or October

Do take more tonics after birth to build up your health b4 trying #2 coz it can be quite taxing on our bodies to go thru preg again soon after popping.

took clomide and conceive #1 within 1st cycle .. now trying for #2 as my LO already 19 months but seems like PCOS soooo many problem ,.... plus I am not even responsing to clomide.... why so difficult ...
