Dear forummers,

Can check if can get my air-con in my master bedroom (where my wife and myself are in) to be serviced (ie chemical wash or the usual servicing?)

My wife is about 5 months pregnant. Would appreciate some advice pls. Thanks. ;-)

why not ? what is your concern ?

Cos the service technician will dismantle the whole air-con for chemical washing and 'installing' them back after the wash and older folks say it's not advisable to 'dismantle' things in the master bedroom.....

Hi, first-time mum here! I’m currently seeing Dr Regina from GynaeMD Clementi, and she’s been quite reassuring. A few things I’ve been told (or learnt the hard way): avoid intense workouts unless cleared by your OB, don’t take herbal remedies or random supplements, try not to sleep flat on your back in later stages, and avoid skipping meals even if you’re feeling nauseous; light snacks really help. I try to stay careful without overthinking every little thing.

Great idea—this will be really useful for new mums! One thing to add: avoid eating high-mercury fish like swordfish, king mackerel, or shark. Also, try to limit caffeine to no more than 1 cup of coffee a day. And of course, no smoking, alcohol, or raw/undercooked foods. For personalised advice, it’s always best to consult your gynae—Dr Law Wei Seng is great if you’re looking for someone experienced!

Maybe also add avoiding unpasteurized dairy, undercooked meat, and limiting caffeine. It’s good to check with a doctor before taking herbal teas or supplements too.
