Nobody would want to do ivf if there is a choice and many seek help after trying many yrs of natural conception. Tcm can only help to build up your body but not your egg quality. Yes ivf is a number game but u never try u will never know. Some girls have tubes that are removed or their hubby have very low number of sperm count. In this case ivf can help them because embryologist are finding the best sperm to fertilise the egg. N for some their egg shell is hard so need ICSI technology to assist. So pls don't tell people not to go for ivf if you do not the details. N if your Tcm dr is such a miracle I believe there will not infertile couple in this world. All Tcm will tell u they help many infertile couples and as with ivf there will be success n failure cases.

When natural fet cycle gets cancelled, no ET in the first place. So no need to pay for ET. Just pay for the scans... which comes up to about $500.

Every morning when you wake up, the first thing you do is drink a full cup of warm water on empty stomach. It should start your digestive system and help to pass motion.

There's nothing you can eat to improve egg quality that's scientifically proven. All those supplements, diet, are not scientifically proven.

There is an opportunity cost. You wrote as if there's no opportunity cost the TCM told you after 1 year no cure from her then do IVF. You are wasting one year of your ticking fertility. Women's fertility is like a 99 leasehold .. Ticking time bomb. Not like men's fertility is like freehold title. If you're in your 30s like most women about to do IVF, every year of fertile time is like 5 or 10 years outside for those who are not TTC. You're racing against the clock.

Pls read carefully, i never stop you all to do ivf, just hope that you all dun do it blindly & waste hard earned $. Perhaps you are rich.

My TCM is not a God but definitely a caring person & provide extra services than other TCM . Did you ever see any physician give you menu, recipe & teach you many tips + follow up with your western medical report? I had seen too many TCM, all of them just want $ only. Anyway, egg quality can be improved, believe or not up to you.

She said i still need to do ivf if my hubby's sperm motility has not much improvement after 1 year treatment. Long huh?

same for my wife, 2 fresh 3 fet with sgh all -ve, switched to Prof and got BFP on first fresh, expecting our miracle arrival next month.

SGH has a very poor success record for its IVF, total waste of money going there. The success rates of all the major IVF labs in Singapore are publicly published. Dunno why anybody would still go there. If you didn't waste your chances at SGH, you would still have two more govt grants for second and third child..

Crinone gel gave me bad constipation, so I had to take stool softener (pregnancy safe) during TWWs. You can ask doctor to prescribe this to you if vegetables, fruits, prune juice etc all don't work.

All the best for your ET! If I remember correctly, HL is for 2 wks after transfer. Erm I never tried asking for longer before, I always go back to work right after (workaholic la, plus it helps take my overactive mind off things), but u can try asking I guess.

No. This $400+ is for the decap jab and progynova med, it must be paid in cash.

The NUH bill before deducting the co-funding from govt is about $3100. The co-funding is capped at $1200 for singaporean couple.
