Planning for pregnancy at new job

Hi there, I will be starting a new job next month and also want to plan for a baby. Do you think it is wise for me to wait after job confirmation (after 6 months) before trying?

Reason being, I expect that there will be check-ups necessary and as an unconfirmed staff, I won't get leave allowance and can't make any medical claims.

Also, I am a bit concerned of how my new employer may view me if I start having to go to the doctor often for medical check-ups relating to the pregnancy and also the 4 months of maternity leave.

Please advise the wisest way to proceed. Thank you.

I also just started with a new job this month and at the same time ttc. Honestly i don’t believe in this advice of waiting to be confirmation first before prioritising havin a child. If we get pregnant at the start of the job and our employer takes it against us..it means it’s not the right or good employer at all. Let’s prioritize family over stressing over a job. A job is just a job. Life of our future child is more precious and irreplaceable. :)
