Hello

I am excited to be a mom, first time. Question: I will be two months pregnant end of the May 2019, is their any way I can reveal my gender in Singapore? I hate surprises. I haven't been to the doctor yet, and I am not sure if their is legal test or way to find out? If yes, where should I go or any recommendation, any experiences, cheaper way :))) need money for baby too

thanks .... waiting ... :)

Hi, you may thru I-gene test, Harmony test or Paranoma test to know your baby gender. This test usually to test NIPT to reveal any risks for genetics disorder for baby. usually doctor will suggest you to take this test in week 11.

The cheaper way to do this test is get referral letter from polyclinic to KKH. the price after subsidy cheap a lot.

Hi! Updates:
See Dr Adrian and did ultrasound but too small. He say lining is thick now, ask to see him next week.
Give me some medicine for stable pregnancy and previtamins.
He see me about 5mins? Chop chop n fast, but if got enquiry still can ask him.

Hi, May I know if the Dr Adrian you mentioned is his name Dr Adrian Woodworth?

Hi all mummies here, I'm not a well English person here so I used google translate to understand. My husband is SG born, I'm China-born, currently holding PR status. I'm currently 15 weeks pregnant and is at specialist clinic C in KKH. My EDD is either 8 Nov or 15 Nov. Doctor didn't mention. My experience there is not so happy when I did my first-trimester scan. The doctor did not explain much about the down syndrome blood test and just assumed that I understand. He just tells me everything ok and expects me to understand what the technical terms meant by giving me the report. I will be opting for a maternity package soon at KKH after my appt on 27 May.

I have a few questions to ask and is there anyone to provide an answer?
1) Is maternity insurance necessary to buy?
2) The maternity packages are only meant for the wife or are the baby inclusive in the package?
3) By when do we need to get everything done?
4) Are there any courses for the first dads/mums to attend?
5) Any good dr to recommend at KKH.

Thanks. God Bless.

Does KKH offer maternity package?

Does KKH offer maternity package?

They do have maternity package but it only targets to rooms under A1 or B1 category. You have to go to the admissions office to get a piece of the explanation. If you are Singapore citizen, then the rate is different from mine as PR.

Hello, I am not a resident of Singapore. I am 1.5 month pregnant and would like to have my gender reveal in NIPT or -gene test, Harmony test or Paranoma test, I am not sure what are those, not sure what is KKH etc? I have to fly over and no contacts in Singapore. Can someone shed the light on this or provide reference/information to move forward as I don't know anyone their.

Thanks

If you are not a resident of Singapore, why do you want to come here to do test? You should have similar tests to do in your home country. I would advise not to fly over to do and you are 1.5 months pregnant and the baby is not stable enough to take the flight. The costs of the tests are rather high too. Are you able to take the heavy cost?

Hi all, just discovered preg last sun. Have not seen gynae. Guess i’m prob the oldest mum here.
You may not be. Im 35 and im having my second child after 13years!! Anyway i'm into my 15th week now and i havent chosen a gynae. I was thinking to just do polyclinic till about 6months then go to the private gynae as my hubby would like me to be in one bedder. Not sure which hospital to go to go. Anyone has any idea on the packages?

Hi there. I'm choosing my gynae soon cos its my first baby. you can google on the packages online. so far only saw thomson packages online. other hospitals, didn't opt. will try for KKH. its like being a private patient in a govt hosp.

My husband will be creating a WA group for all the males and ladies soon. If you are not comfortable, kindly voice out soon. I only took down Hp numbers of Aldenchong, Doremifa06, Jaspreet & miraclebaby123. Any more numbers are also accepted. Thanks
