Hi all,

Seeking advise after confiement we will be moving in to our new house in (Yishun), I would like to know if anyone hired extra PART TIME HELPER ? Like those come to your house from 930am to 6pm from Mon-Fri? Basically for me is easy the helper at my house does not need to clean the house just assist my Wife to look after twins till the evening when I come back, I will pay around 600 to 800 for a month. I know is way too Low BUT she don need to cook, wash ,clean the house , just assisting my wife with the twins at home that's all.

Or should I just hired a maid ? But my Wife will go back to work after 4months of maternity ,so we will put the babies in infant care centre.

I just need a extra manpower to help out my wife for a short period.

Thanks in advance

im intending to do part time helper...Maids can be trouble, especially if ur kids going to infant care and wife to work..meaning maid alone at home for the day.

I think in your case, it is better to get a nanny. The start up cost for a maid is there like agency fee and I have to wait for them to come which typically will be ard a few weeks. By the time u train the maid, then your wife is going back to work already. However I'm not too sure whether u can get anyone to take up the job at 600-800 since the person need to go to your hse and take care of twin. Twins can be quite tedious de.. So when u tell them it's a twin, they will ask for more.
Hopefully U can resolve this..

It is best to look for part time nanny. Some do go to client house, 800 seems reasonable too, the few I contacted seems to accept this price. But part time nanny in the north area can be really really difficult to find.

Yeah nanny is the best. I send my daughter to the nanny at $800 per mth. I just delivered 2nd child, and she willing to look after 2 (5 year old and 2 mth old) at $1,400 for the first year. Most nannies prefer the comfort of their own home. To go to your house, they may be required to pay more. FYI, I also stay in Yishun and my nanny too.

$800 seems reasonable for one but if it's a twin, they might charge more. You have to check with the nanny.

Due to financial issue , I talk to my Wife , currently we will decide 2plans.

1. Hired maid for temporary till my Wife going back to work than we see how.

2. Send my twins to infant care

I am changing my job soon and my new company got maid agency lobang, don get me wrong I am not up selling maid agency in my new company but just want to share it with people who needs a maid . I think the agent fees quite reasonable.
