Ranting about having a Good Helper nowadays

I understand this is a recurring topic, but I need to share my experience with my current helper, hired in August last year to take care of my mum who had 2 cataract eye surgeries. Unlike my previous helpers, who were grateful and hardworking, she has been challenging. She eats large portions (for 3 paxs), expects my elderly mother to cook for her, and insists on doing housework her way. Despite a clean house, she cleans the toilet daily, takes 30 minutes to iron one shirt (a task I’ve now taken over to iron for my 2 school children and myself), and gives excuses to avoid grocery shopping. She can’t cook and appears unwilling to learn, often giving a stupid unhappy look when asked to do frying eg fried chicken, or even fish crackers. She didn't even spend her money to buy her snacks...she expects me to provide her every time I provide for my children.

Recently, she called my mother "inhumane" for not feeding her, which was the last straw. I am sending her back to avoid similar issues for other employers. Surprisingly, after we confirmed her flight ticket, she could do all the work without guidance which I find frustrating. This situation has left my mother traumatized, even requesting we not hire another helper. I sincerely hope the government considers employer welfare as well.

Her name is Karomah, from Cirebon, Indonesia, divorced with one child.
