Hi All,

What should I do?

I am trying to conceive and I saw my work portal my leave entitled it's stated 56Days which means 1year 3months...

By right should be 16weeks. I work as a front line in a condo, shift hours. 4days work with 1 off or 5days work with 1 off.

I plan to let my HR and company know I am pregnant when I am 5months and when my stomach can be seen.

What should I do to get the right paid maternity leave and correct days?

I am a working married Mother and singaporean. I just had a epotic pregnancy in march 2017 but never claim from company for that and was on hospitalisation leave for 30days

i dont think ectopic pregnancy entitle maternity leave, only HL. best person to check with is MOM.

Yes miscarriage is only HL. I claim 2 weeks HL for D&C.
My guess is maternity leave will only be updated after you give birth?

I dont see maternity leave in my portal. Maybe you can check with yr hr when pregnant. Or try sound yr colleague who claim maternity before. But i heard from my pr colleague before, her maternity is shorter.

Usually, 4 ML, it's not in portal system 4 application. As ML will require u 2 submit birth cert of your child, etc.

In my co, it's manual application 4 ML and HL. System only can apply leave, MC n CCL.

Having said dat, u shld go back 2 review d staff handbook or check wif your HR if u r in doubt.

N while it's not compulsory 2 inform your supervisor immediately when u know u r pregnant, do give them ample time 2 find a replacement while u r on ML. N depending on d line of wk u do @ d condo, u may wanna inform them then u have just crossed your 1st trimester. As 4 showing of your tummy, it's really not entirely up 2 u... there r preggy moms whose tummy r big b4 d end of 1st trimester.

Hi babyhelp,

My company maternity is also 56 days but there's another portion for maternity extension, 40days, which I concluded is the remaining 8 weeks paid by government. To be sure for yourself, check with your hr.
