Language learning question

I have been teaching my 5 yo son using 四五快读, it is quite popular in SG now.
It is a systematic series for you to teach chinese at home, but u need to be very patient & consistent.
Do go to Popular to browse thru the copy.
Best to get it in forum, so much cheaper compared to Popular.

Hi Jane, for a start, u can try to print out some flash cards (cards with coloured pictures, words and Hanyu pinyin) and play the flash card games with your child. Daily bedtime story reading with your child will also help a lot. :)

I would suggest to start with saying aloud in Mandarin the common terms (thank you, goodbye, lets go, etc) and things in daily life (chair, table, milk, water, rain, sun, etc, etc).

Thats how I started with my boy. It is challenging at times, but got to start somewhere.
Since your child is 5yo, he should be learning Mandarin in K1? Not?
