Redvel did dr explain why AF come earlier despite on support med? Is it cos not enough support?
 


Hi would like to know anyone aged 39 yrs has tried IVF and succesful. I am 39 and will be starting IVF journey this week. Very stressed and sad. Any adv is greatly appreciated. What should i take so that IVF should succeed? After IVF, how many days do u all take? Ok to go work 2-3 days later as i am worried that if i stay at home i will think about IVF. Thank you and appreciate your adv pls.
 
hi jumbo and redvel, i hope u rmb me in e 2ww thread. :) i have been in this forum for so many yrs, still waiting for my baby, too bad it didn't happen.

considering to seek gynae advice on doing iui. not sure if i am able to do iui or not due to some infertility with both hub n me... or maybe gynae will suggest ivf. any one can recommend me a gynae in KKH? though i have heard a lot of awful reviews on how bad n rude the nurses were, how insensitive the nurses were and how rough they were... but i due to my financial constraint, i may not be able to do it as pte cos no subsidy for ivf. but i have heard if i choose gynae at kkh, i m also paying pte rate same as the pte hosp??? :eek: then how? if i wanna do ivf or iui but e gynae is always different??? i m at great loss!

Pearl don't let the digit stresses you. We all know stress of any kind doesn't aid us in ttc. You can refer to the thread on something about ttc ladies 35 and beyond. There are success case of ladies even over 40. I'm 42 and going through my 3rd ivf transfer soon. Hope your pot of gold come visit soon.

I'm with KKH and I have to beg to differ that it has "bad nurses". Many of my gfs and my sis popped at KKH and none have had bad experience to share. To me, all hospitals will have bad days for some staff. It's just unfortunate the patient faces one. Once you've decided on a hospital, just stay positive and don't read too much into everything. Trust your doc and go with the flow and all things will come in place.

Not sure about referral...I'm at KKIVF as private patient. Heard good reviews on Dr Tan HH. And thanks for your well wishes. I hope the same for you.

I was told to standby for tue and wed just in case the Embroyologist thinks I should be transferred earlier.

thanks redvel! do u happen to know if DR tan HH does IUI? u went in as pte patient, can u still get gov grant for e ivf ?

Emily, yes he does iui too.
I'm over 40 so I only get medisave portion. If you're below 40,your medisave and govt cofunding will cover your iui/ivf pretty much. Just like my sis who is younger, she did 3x ivf and I believe 90% of the bill can be safely covered.

4mm lining but which cycle day were you? My doc told me 8mm to prep for transfer soon is ideal.

Emily kkh nurses are very nice. There may be few bad ones but majority I met are caring so don't worry. If you hb sperm test is good u can go for iui. However I feel ivf have a higher success rate. The popular ones are THH n Sadhana

Hi, i'll be gng for ER on tue & i was told that i will do ET on thurs. Isnt it alittle too soon for ET? I guess it will be case by case to determine how many days old of embryos to transfer right? Coz i met a lady and she waited 5 days after ER embryos b4 the transfer.
Also any of u experience OHSS? Im experiencing mild symptoms. If you had b4, howdo you curb it? Thx
 
I transferred Day 2 embryos too.

Keep drinking water. Lots and lots of water. Drink some 100 plus too. Use a small towel to cover ur tummy and wear socks when u sleep at night. That helped for me.

Hi missy serene I'm nt sure why the Et is either 3 or 5 days. As what u had said could b case to case basis. You jus got to keep drinking water to curb the ohss like at least 2 liters daily.
 
Redvel, all e best for ur et next thurs. Im going to do mine next Saturday due to hubby's schedule though actually doc suggest to do on Thursday. Hope we both hit the jackpot

Hmm...whats the logic behind drinking more water?? Most of e time I feel so nauseous. Appetite is also not so gd...sigh.. I hope I'll b fine. .
 
Water and 100 plus helps to re-balance ur electrolyte levels in ur body after all that fertility drugs have gone into ur body. Nausea is one of the side effects. Dun get water poisoning. Drink regularly and sufficiently. Check ur urine colour to gauge if u have enough water intake. The urine colour should not be dark yellow.
 
As per recommended by dr loh, I am going to start my 2nd fresh cycle in dec. Is there anything I need to prepare now? Start to take dhea n Q10 already. Am wori of the quality n implantation issues. Should I drink red date logan drink n protein like egg whites n bird nest from now?
 
Kymkym very glad to know that u started another cycle. Did u change to thomson? U can even start on blackmore conceive well gold also. Follow healthy dite.

I think red date longan and egg whites u must take during the cycle but not sure.

Hi,glad to hear tt u are giving yr eggs another chance. Think exercise to relax n keep fit will also help in better eggs.
I think i saw on e thread a sister wrote thomson ivf lab will be also closed in dec? Better check to confirm if yrs is in dec

Dr asked me to start in dec cycle but I m wori will clash with Xmas holiday.

due to constant light brown discharge (from 9dp3dt till ydae 14dp3dt) i made my way to kkh to get my beta done, so tat if it's really my period trying to exit me, I wanna stop those progesterone pills. And yes indeed my first ivf cycle = failed

heartbreaking - yes!
give up - no!
will redo cycle in January

Tale 4-6 egg whites daily & 2 litres of water.
Taking multiple small meals help me with the nausea
Avoid contact sports for the moment
Mostly importantly, rest well
I had OHSS and put on 3 kg , tummy very bloated

kammybear 加油！hugzzz..i failed my first ivf cycle just few days back too. it is devastating,esp when everything went on pretty smoothly from the start to ET. Now pinning hope on my 2 frozen embryos to fulfill my motherhood dream. cant wait to start again though i am filled with fear ( of injections, scans , blood tests, ER, ET and 2ww).None is pleasant , All are worries ..However, time is running out for me and i have to be brave. wishing all sisters here lots of courage to face challenges ahead!

Hi, brought already. Now my daily intake: dhea + CoQ10 + Conceive Well Gold + royal jelly...guess that i the best i can do le..the rest leave to fate ..........has been 'growth' in size since start the process..so wori that i am getting more plus size on body..hiaz.

Don't worry too much just keep exercising to keep fit and improve blood circulation
