Portia, yes with KKH .. Under the care of Dr Lau's Team... I will do the research and ask accordingly...
Please go and get yr hcg bt done and ask them to at least give u a prescription for proluton jab in case u need it.
Every doctor will advocate their own
beliefs and protocol that they think will be suitable for you. It is up to you to research, ask questions and even seek 2nd opinions before u make yr own judgement and decision. It is yr cycle, yr body and yr responsibilty for the end results. At the end, you are the one paying, going thru the pain. Make the effort and $$ worthwhile.

BTW, I saw Blackmores Conceive Gold at the pharmacy and was tempted to buy. Has anyone tried it and does it help?

It's a supplement/ multi vit and fish oil. I have been taking it since Dec 13. Now i switch to the breastfeeding and pregnancy one.

Thanks Portia. Then did you take your folic while on Conceive Gold? I have temporarily stopped folic acid.
Conceive gold has folic in it. And i also do get folic from the food i eat daily. So i fid not buy or eat additional folic.

I hope u can get yr bfp naturally in the next 2 months.
Frankly, after going through all the physical, mental and emotional stress and treatments the last 5 months, i wish that all ladies hoping to be a mother will never have to go through this tough route.
I am now a little more relax than a week ago. HCG level from my test yesterday is decent enuf. Am full of anticipation for next week's scan. At the same time, i still cannot help feeling anxious because i am not in the 'safe zone' yet. From the past posts, i learnt of so many sad stories and some bfp did not last very long.
I am sure only ladies who have gone through ART can identify with how I feel. Those who conceive easily naturally will never be able to understand the stress or anxiety we have to go through. It is also unlikely for them to think of the unfortunate events such as ectopic pregnancy (which is higher occurance in ivf than natural conception) happening to them. They will take for granted that their pregnancy will more or less be smooth and uneventful.
In short, i am still cautiously positive. I dun think i will be able to relax fully untill the day i hv one or two healthy, wailing baby(ies) in my arms.

Ask for proluton jab and duphaston oral tablet for support on top of your progesteron inserts.
I went through this from last week and i understsnd the fear, anxiety and stress.
After you get yr support, ask the doc if bed rest is needed. And will it be beneficial for you to wear compression stocking to help with blood circulation if you are to bedrest for long hours each day.

i agree, and some dont even realise they are pregnant!!
for us we analyse every single symptom and keep testing on HPT.
we worry from the day we start TTC to BT to scans to follie sizes, lining size, ER, no. of eggs and no. of embryos, grade of embyros, ET, OHSS, food to eat.. cramps pains discharge then HPT
then after HPT we worry about the HCG levels, and the doubling, and first scan to see HB and foetal pole. OMG the worries are never ending.

agree..actuali its not the injection pain that is hurting(for before bfp injection needles are quite fine actualli). the damage is more on the results and on emotional management. i have 9 eggs usable_But was told 7 embroyos had arrested development by day 5,so left none to freeze. embroLogist says its mainly due to poor sperm quality. e 2 transfered were above normal grade embries but didnt make it too. i wonder should i try 2nd ivf cos woried its due to sperm Genetics heNce a pregnancy may not be viable after all..

Hmmm I always thought with icsi, sperm quality shouldn't be an issue cos they will choose the good ones.

ivf only eliminates motility issues,think sperm quallity still needs to be good to fertilise e egg for viable pregnancy n to sustain e pregnancy to live birth.anyone with extermely bad sperm count (less than 30(not mil but 30) and managed to improve with tcm. e multivits doesnt help dh also. maybi i am doomed to be without a child? ..

I still have 4 frozen embeddies. I m not sure wat I did this round but I feel I have better embryos this round compared to the past. Sincere is well known having high success rate for fet I heard from my gynae assistant. If this is ur first cycle, dun give up yet. Still can improve...

Don't lose hope. Ivf is trial and error one. Not everyone will strike on the first attempt. Most don't also. Go for another round. u will find it easier during the 2nd round! Doc will be able to make adjustments to increase your chances too.

that y i worried, they famous but i failed e fresh. i got no frozen embries left, all perished. maybi there is realli somthg wrong with us. i am 37 and dh is 40. dunno is 坏蛋 or 坏tadpole..

Ladies, things happen with a reason and yes although there are things we can do within our means to up chances, everything still lies in the hands of God (whichever is your religion or none). Maybe I won't have a child in the end. Maybe I won't even exist tomorrow. Or maybe God does decide I deserve a baby afterall. Just wanna say please don't stress nor think too much. Just rest after your ET and don't need to think if you should have done this or that or seek this or that treatment. Life has its way. Enjoy the moment. 平常心...my mentor told me so.
I think the worry will still continue for long time after the baby(ies) are delivered.

You may wish to get yr dr in charge to write in to the ethics board to conduct biosy on yr embbies for next round. Of cos u will have to discuss this in greater details with yr dr as there are conditions to satisfy before putting the request in.
I discussed this briefly with dr loh before. He has done it for a few couples and managed to get approval for one.

Hi ladies..I have managed to get to 11dp2dt without bleeding but POAS no good.. Did one yesterday evening and today morning..the second line is so faint tat it looks like it's barely there..might be manufacturing defect..feel like its a BFN..no symptoms at all. Having on and off cramps and a little giddy..wishing for the next 5 days to pass quickly so that I can get to BT without bleeding

They choose by appearance of the sperm.
Appearance can be decieving and not a good indication of the quality.

I hv the same pregnancy test kit. It is not as good as clearblue. I tested again 2 days ago with it and it is also faint.
See mine on 9dp3dt below. Dun lose hope. Go get some better hpt or get a bhcg done. Dun toture yrself.

Its ok. I started at 23 (equivocal) on 9dp3dt. It is half of yr count and i hv gone to 1550 yesterday. Dun lose heart.

If u can, get the clearblue digital. That way, you will be spared from guessing if there is a line or if it is an evaporation line!!!Oic Portia..thanks..really made me feel so relieved..maybe later I go get the better HPT...

To be honest with you. At 5 weeks 2 days, I am still very insecure and feel so surreal abt my bfp. And the only think i could do to make me feel better is to continue poas when i dun do bhcg test. I have gone thru many boxes of test kits already. I think i will only stop when i see the blinking of my beanies' heartbeats on the screen.

Actually there's is no need to keep using the hpt kit. Coz once positive it will b positive unless there r massive bleeding. Coz it detects pregnancy as low as bhcg 20. The most impt is the scan at 6 wks. In my 2nd pregnancy I hv an empty sac when my bhcg is in 5 digits at 6 wks.

I do it for a peace of mind. Just to assure myself that it is really a positive.
I need to do it to make myself feel good and keep my mindset positive. Everyone has a different way of de-stressing. Maybe, poas is the way that works for me.
Anyway, my scan is next week and the week after. Once i see the sac and heartbeat, i think i can save $$$ on the test kits.

Me and hubby are cautiously happy abt the pregnancy. Yes I tested positive 8dp3dt but no peace of mind. Constant worry if beanie still surviving in there. Hcg mite rise progesterone mite rise but after hearing sisters sharing their short lived bfps...... no peace of mind....

Mesara, no spotting. Got morning sickness and bhcg was the highest among all 3 pregnancies.
The body will continue to produce bhcg if it is under the inpression that there is pregnancy. SO, even if the embyro stops growing or there's a miscarriage, the body will continue to produce bhcg to support, it will only stop or decreases when it realises that is gone.

Rest well and if u r going to spend a long time in bed, compression stocking will help blood circulation.
Good luck for yr bt on next Tuesday. I hv no more bt appointment. Looking fwd to the scan instead.
