Egg factory - my doc n tcm also scratch their heads when I failed... Even my embryologist is surprised....everything is so optimal...I was quite depressed initially but thanks for the forum here, I cheered up a lot... I guess the body has a unique way of knowing whether to keep or not.... If it doesn't, perhaps our body is just not strong enough to carry it to full term n best to Tiao first before it becomes BFP...
 


Bub I dunnoe if u can eat royal jelly. 5mths b4 I start ivf I start taking royal jelly n I can feel its really good becoz b4 taking my basal temp is like roller coaster n after taking which u can straight away c the different the following mth the basal temp is bk to normal. I know about royal jelly from a tv documentary bk in dec the shows talks abt difficulties in pregnancy n after taking royal jelly how the gals becm pregnant n their body wellness also becms better.

Hope this helps in ur nx ivf☺ But if U ve allergy or asthma etc u cannot take. So pls chk before u consumed.
 
Egg factory, my previous 2 cycles using Puregon, tried both long n short protocol but did not turn out well. Saizen is a growth hormone. Both gonal f n menupor work differently so just hope that this combination work well for me. We are like genuine pig got to try an error to hit the right medication which work well for individual.

Kittykatty: My hormones went abit haywired after 2 SO.. I took hormone pills to regular back my cycle. So, I think maybe your body is still trying to flush out all the medicine and not functioning as per usual? No worry.. Let's jiayou together in the next cycle and be stress free.

BigBear: your 'did not turn out well' means did not get enough eggs or did not fertilize well or? Sorry for asking so many questions...all this meds are so confusing.

Egg Factory, I did not yield many eggs. First time out of 7 only 4 fertilized and second time out of 5 only 2 fertilized. At the end no frozen as the thaw one from fist cycle also did not turn out well

If recent case of miscarriage, no insurer will cover. they will exclude it and maybe 6 months to a yr later then you can ask them to review it and see can be included but no guarantee. sometimes it takes up to two years before they will review.

dr loh seems to be quite pro natural fet. my cycle is quite long abt 35 days and he also said can go for natural... he said just that i ovulate late. this was when he was still at kkh. i did twice natural fet and both times my LH surge comes only at d20/d21. for my 3rd fet, i did medicated but under dr sadhana. lining was ready at d11 and i went for my ET on d14. i bfp this time with a bhcg reading of 2067.7. however, i had an episode of bleeding and dr loh mentioned that fet pregnancies more unstable. for me it's all trial and error and i did make some changes like seeing tcm and do acupuncture.
 
eskimobaby: may I ask for your medicated FET, after your lining was ready, what kind of progesterone support were you on and how many times a day? Also, did your doc test your progesterone level on day of ET?

Big bear: I see, thanks for sharing. I have opposite problem, I am aiming for less eggs. It was very expensive freezing all the embryos and I lost two-thirds of them due to blast culture and now everything is gone.
 
Egg Factory, cos am planning to do FET year end so no point seeing dr too early. Another 2 more mths to go hehe. Now using these time to tiao my body

i was only on utrogestan 2 tabs 3 times a day. no testing of progesterone was done at any time at all. i was on cyclogest for the first 2 fets, but had pretty bad side effects so request to go back on utrogestan cos i was doing well on it during my fresh.

i have mild pcos so i have a high yield of eggs too... retrieved 33 follicles and froze 13 eggs after transferring 2 during my fresh cycle and bfp. i tried blastocysts for my first fet, but seems like my embies dun survive well outside the womb... out of 8 thawed, only 1 made it and i couldn't even wait till d5 for transfer... had to transfer that one on day 3 and it's only compacted not blasto yet, so decided not to do any more blastocysts from then onwards cos only left with 5.. just transfer after thaw.
 
May I ask if anyone has experienced continuous spotting a few days after ET all the way to BT? Is this normal...... Just can't rid the feeling that this cycle's a bust again......

Okay, I will start with LRD tea. May I know how much is the average acupuncture costs? I used to do a few acupuncture sessions with Dr Chiang at Shaw Centre when I was doing my IUIs and that costs $90 per session. I wonder if that rate is normal or am I paying too much? I don't even know if he is any good!

Bb shower try some warm milk or camomile tea to help sleep?
 
Hope4baby I have 2 round of natural fet..and both round bfp...
To me is easier and less stressful but ur menses must be regular

I see. I had even fewer eggs than yours but my doc was so scared I would get OHSS that he cancelled the transfer and froze everything. But I saw from the excel that many BFP sisters had fresh transfer even after retrieving a large number of eggs. So I really want to try a fresh transfer next time.

YeaH Cat Congrats!!! Ur reading is so high. For u today is how many days after ET? Cfm is twin twin right. I try not to drink tea because tea is said to be cooling except lrd. I ve been drinking ensure milk for quite smx until few days ago I stop first becoz got bad diarrhea after drinking. So now dunnoe wat milk to take. My cramps always happen at night that's y very difficult to slp. Tmr is my BT morning I sure very slpy gonna ve panda eyes coz tOnite sure can't slp.

I have asked and seen another doctor for 2nd opinion. Basically it was a bad pregnancy and i might be or has been pregnant but unfortunately no idea if the fetus is growing or die.

I have to do another blood test again on Friday. So if the reading increases means that the fetus is growing but it might be a risk in the later stage.

So the option now (1) to continue with the Progesterone and see if the fetus grows (2) to stop the Progesterone means give up. But doctor did mention that is not advisable to continue cos im having my menses now.
 
Psp glad u seek a 2nd opinion. Might as well just wait for fri BT. Perhaps there is a miracle. It's just a few days away. But also depending On how ur body is coping with it.

Is it a twins for you? I always have soft spot for twin babies. Wish you have a smooth pregnancy.
For my case, Dr Loh let me decide whether if I prefer natural or medicated. Haha...this is the worst part. I am indecisive. I guess you are right. Its really trial and error. I comtemplating of doing another round of natural FET and if fail then proceed to medicated FET. But, then again it seems like Medicated transfer yield quite good result too base on the excel spreadsheet. So I am still thinking....still have time to decide before my next menses come.
Btw: What is the protocol for Medicated Transfer? What kind of medicine are we suppose to take? Does it involve injection too? Sorry, so many questions. I m still a blur sotong.

Today I did a HPT and the line was still very faint, lighter than yesterday. So I am not continuing with my progesterone. Time to move on. Immunocal can be bought at OG.

Actually is quite scary hope everything is going to be fine...

i guess your gynae is very cautious. usually if ohss is under control or slight, doc will go ahead with ET. of cos if bfp, ohss will get more serious and sometimes can be life threatening so there's pros and cons tho it's said that with ohss higher chance of bfp.

for medicated is call on the day your menses arrive, then day 3 or 4 onwards need to take progynova to build up lining, then day 11 or 12 do scan, once lining ready will do transfer, don't have to wait for any ovulation. will need to take progynova till end of 1st trimester if fet is successful.
