PSP, low hcg lvl doesnt mean is ectopic. Do u feel any pain at the side? If ectopic, the nurse would have arrange u to do a scan immediately. As Ectopic pregnancy is life threatening.

I do have ectopic with 10,000plus HCG lvl. So please dun give up hope. Maybe becos of another embbie forcing out but another embbie already implanted. U never knw. They can only confirm thru scan.

Hi Psp,
I won't take the nurses' word for it. I will definitely insist on seeing the Dr.
They screwed up my medication last week and the nurse denied it. But since that stressful episode they are taking precaution so it won't happen again.
So it won't take them long to do the same to you- DENY!
My loyalty with kkh is bcos of my Dr.S, not the services at the clinic.
 
PSP, please fully bedrest now and wait for another bloodtest on Friday. Anyway, not sure whether is an ectopic or not. If I were u, I will still go straight to 24hrs clinic to get extra JAB support. At least to ease my mind that I already done all my best for my baby.

Hi all, I got a positive beta after my 2nd FET (10dp5dt), but the number is very low (24). I am feeling very sian as this is most likely a chemical or m/c. But told to continue progesterone shots till 2nd beta. Feel like stopping as I don't want to support a doomed embryo. I'm tired but can't sleep, hungry but no appetite, and want to cry but can't. I wonder if anyone understands how I feel...
 
Egg factory, dun give up yet! hCG levels vary widely. Some healthy pregnancies start with very low hCG too. Keep taking ur support med until the next BT okie?

Psp - I went thru almost the same experience but I think there is nothing we can do but to wait for next reading... But meanwhile, must still fight Loh....dun stop medication, continue to eat well and rest well....
 
Egg factory, pls don't give up fighting for your bb. Keep believing in it, u never know it might be to your suprise. Understand the pain and the rough patches u have gone thr. U are almost there so pls dont give up ok! U have to believe that u n bb can make it through. Stay strong for your bb. We all have been thr so much....so never give up at this crucial time.

I will continue shots for 2 more days...my butt is already bruised from all the shots, what is 2 more days..the only consolation i have is that there was at least some kind of implantation this time, after taking lots of extra meds, but sigh, I hope this will not drag out too long ..

I try to upgrade my insurance to those which cover pregrancy however AIA review my MC and my insurance was upgraded with extra premium but exclusion they did not cover any pregnancy.

Can anyone advice me which insurance we can sign up that cover pregnancy eventhough w
miscarriage.

Congratulations to all the ladies who BFP! It's very encouraging.

I'm starting my 1st IVF journey at the end of this month. Doctor told me to call him on the day my AF arrives to make appt for blood test on Day 2. I suppose that will signal the start of the IVF journey. I'm sure this question would have been asked many times before, but what should I do in the next 4 weeks before IVF to prepare my body?

Hi Ladies,
I am suppose to be due for natural FET this week and now will have to cancel it and try it again next cycle as no LH surge is detected.
My heart sank when my doc told me this morning. I was really looking forward to it. All my scan has been good. Follicle size & lining are both growing at ideal stage and both Dr Loh & Dr Zou has been positive about it. I was also instructed to test with ClearBlue OPK to detect LH surge. Sadly, from Day 12 I test until today D18 there was no smiley face on ClearBlue. Today scan shows that the follicle size is too big 23mm and since no LH surge is not ideal to FET.

Anyone with similar experience can share why is this happening? Have follicle but no ovulation? My cycle has been quite regular each month, 28 days +/- 1 day.

For FET what's the pros and cons of doing natural versus Medicated Transfer.

Egg factory, I am still fighting the battle. Going for my 3rd fresh end of this mth. This likely will be my last ivf cycle. Nothing come easy esp in this journey for many of us here. Hang in there! I wish u success

Stress could affect the hormones hence causing no LH surge. So perhaps you want to opt for medicated fet?
Natural usually preferred cos the body is producing the hormones naturally but if this is causing stress to you then perhaps a medicated will be an option. Only difference is that you are takIng medicine for the lining and estrogen. Size of follicles is not a condition....

Perhaps HE feels the time is not right, so in his way he delayed the cycle. Everything happens for a reason. Hugs.

Kittykatty: I have done both Natural and Medicated FETs so I can share my 2 cents' here.

- Natural cycle: timing screwed up, lining no gd, progesterone very low - negative result.
- Med cycle (better control of timing, lining good, progesterone better but still low) - positive, but neither 'big' nor 'fat'

Disadvantages of Med is must take a lot of meds (for me it's pills, inserts and daily injections).

Kitty Katty, I also have the same problem. Based on BBT & mucus discharge, I realized I did not ovulate this mth. I think could be due to many factors, and stress definitely is one of them. May be is good to let your body rest one more mth. Don't be too upset over it! Jia you ok

Congrats Hope and all the sisters who bfp! Thanks for the well wishes and Jning u crack me up and u got it right!whuahaha my reading was 206.9. was told that it's ok reading for 16dpo. i checked online also n it seems i juz fall .1 short of the beta hcg level median. so i'm hoping it's all good.
I'm so sorry to hear about redvelvet, egg factory and psp. i guess in the midst of all the good news it's quite sobering the misery and the very real stress that we all sisters of ivf/ttc r facing. i think that is why we all can really feel for each other when someone has a bfp or a bfn. psp i tink u shld go see doc. if can't get kk doc juz go to a private gynae. they do immediate scan and can know for sure if there is a possibility of saving. haf to be selective though. my fren who was bleeding went n was merely given medication without scan. needless to say she mc. but i find it was thoroughly unnecessary to go thru th physical pain of it and prolonging it. there was a cousin of mine who bled early in pregnancy. told to go on bedrest. bleeding thruout pregnancy continued. she bedrest n now gave birth redi to healty baby girl. so really do smtg bout itnow while u still can. eggfactory chin up. i wish u all the best. redvelvet ur positivity is inspiring.

Kittykatty, im sorry to hear that. How strange is that?! I bet u didnt expect that at all! So did u thaw any embryos? Maybe its god's will for you to rest another month. If my discharge clears this month, we will fet together next month

Hi all , I will be going for natural fet this coming menses... Initially wanted medicated fet as heard it is for better control. But dr said if can go for natural fet is better cos success rate is 1% higher. Not sure what are the pros and cons also...
Any cycle buddies?

Tutu: I m really puzzle and it really caught me by surprise. I guess this round I was quite stress and kan cheong. Also I have been sick last 2 weeks ago. Probably, all this affected my ovulation. Didn't manage thaw any embryos as they will start doing it only once ovulation is detected. Yes hope your discharge go away soon. Great to have company to FET together next month and BFP together

The Dos & Don't will give you an idea of what to start eating to prepare your body. Many sisters also go for acupunture & TCM to "tiao" our bodies. Can encourage your hubby to go acupunture & TCM too.

One of the 1st thing we all take is the classic LRT - Longan Red Date Tea. It is supposed to warm our womb in preparation for pregnancy as most Asian women face the problem of "cold" womb.

Kittykatty, everything happens for a reason. Your body is telling u you are not ready this mth, hence why this happened. So rest well n get ready for next mth. I wish to succeed in fet but not pinning high hopes... would be nice if we fet n bfp together

Any gals have problem slping at night? I m constantly awake during the night time n making my day time more tired. Y bb dun wanna slp during the night.
 
Just Faith, dr Loh does SOIUI. Not sure about IUI but you can call and ask.

Bbshower, I'm awake now coz too hungry to zzzz. But I can't sleep well 2 days before my BT. You tested positive right? When is your BT?

Kittykatty: thanks for your support. I think ovulation can be affected by fertility treatments. I used to have quite regular ovulation but after the OHSS cycle it became very weird.

BigBear: yes I was with Dr Zou once/twice a week. She scratch head when she saw that I failed..now I dunno what she will say, heh. Why you wanna go back to KKH? haha. I'm not going there coz dun wanna bump into ppl I know. But I'm also thinking of switching to government after 2 more tries. But dunno whether still can get govt subsidy.
 
Egg factory, Oh...in that case I may bump into u at Dr Zou clinic. I go twice a week as well, every Tues n Sat. How abt u? Prof Ng prescribe me wi only menupor + Saizen whereas Dr Sadhana prescribe me with Gonal F + menupor + Saizen. So far the review on just menopur does not seem to be common n effective to few sisters here. Dr Zou also think with combination of Gonal F is better. However wi my high dosage of Gonal F + menupor + Saizen, the cost at pte will be very high. Furthermore, kkh location is convenience for me n I am familiar with the system there. Hope I make the right choice!
 
Big Bear: I usually go to Dr Zou on weekdays, morning/afternoon. Sometimes I hear her talking to patients and I'll wonder if that person is a forumer...

May I know why you are using so many different stimulation drugs together? Does it help with egg quantity and/or quality? I used only Puregon.

I see many forumers BFP at KKH so u should be making the right choice. It's also good coz they already know your history.
 


Cat I only drink lrd when I feel my adominal is cold if not I dont drink le. Actually ever since ET I have problem slping at night. Quite irritated with it especially when I c my hubby slping so soundly . N ard day 10-12dpt I get woken up by very weird dreams that really scares me. Just now 5am I fallen bk to slp n woken up at 6Am becoz of weird dreams again! So tiring.

Hope tmr is my BT.
