Thanks all
This is my second try. Failed my first IVF/ICSI. Was on medicated FET. Doctor gave cyclogest and progynova.
I tested early at day 14 coz on both mornings of day 12 and 14, I tested with HPT and both came out positive. So I called KKH and asked if I can take the blood test, also because if I'm really pregnant, I thought I can get more support earlier.
I kept myself warm all the time - had socks and slippers on at home. Have a blanket and comforter ( in case I kicked my comforter away, I still have blanket) Kept myself clean to prevent infection coz I had to use cyclogest ( rectum insert instead of V, as the muscles at rectum are tighter and the inserts will not leak ). Took only boiled plain water and milo. Drank a lot of water at home ( doesn't matter if you keep going to the toilet ) No junk food, cold stuff during the 2 weeks. Bought fruits and had them daily - either oranges or apples. No carrying of heavy items ( heaviest I carried during the 2WW was some clothes that I kept after drying ).
Apart from the supplement ( progynova ) which doctor prescribed, I took my own as well - Prenatal formulae from GNC as it contains folic acid and other necessary vitamins. I also took Royal Jelly ( GNC ) on alternate days.
I took Hospitalisation leave after my ET, which according to the nurses must be requested as they only give 1 day MC for the day of transfer. I lay down as much as I can, took small walks around the house and avoided contact with laptop and computer since there is infrared. I don't put my HP anywhere near my tummy too.
Some sacrifices must be made, after all I've been through almost a month of jabs (first cycle) and medication. What's with those little don'ts. I would rather be strict to myself than regret for not having done enough.
Most importantly, keeping myself relaxed and calm. Worrying over the 2WW ain't gonna help. So I found little things to do and still am doing them - watch drama, listen to music, etc.
I say my prayers at the beginning of each day and give thanks for having gone through a smooth day. Still am till now.
having faith is important. It keeps you going.
I wish all good luck!
Have a nice weekend ahead.
