Bbjourney, dr zhao changed 1 of my herbs. My an tai yao now tastes a little sweet..so weird..can't relate the sweet taste & herbal smell together. I just hold my breath, quickly swallow it up and flush down a cup of warm water.

Hi sisters, I went to a fortune telling session n was told that I'm past my prime time to try having a kid n my chances of ever having a kid in the future are very slim, hence he adviced I shd consider adoption n Dont waste my $ in ivf. But he included an exclusion clause saying miracles happen..my fren recommended me to this guy cuz my fren is curent under studying with this fengshui master..I'm a little disturbed but....just curious, what wld u sisters do? Wld u give up or continue to try?

I feel that if you're feeling a little disturbed, it shows that you're a little doubtful of what the fortune-teller told you.

I'd not give up if I am you. You are in control of whether you want to do the ivf. I suggest you consult a fertility doctor and he/she would be able to give you a scientific advice on whether you have past your prime to conceive. I believe the doctors would not stop you from embarking on ivf.
 
Jaded, i would not believe this fengshui master (sorry no offence to believers). Why does he say you are past your prime? He has your age? Then he is just saying things out of common expectations and stereotyping older gals. Did your doctors say you cannot conceive? If not, if even scientifically you are not condemned, why do you want to allow someone to dictate you? He dont even dare to say you sure cannot conceive you know such that he has to add a disclaimer to protect himself. What did your hb say?

Your life is in your hands, what you want is in your heart, not by words of someone who wont want what you want as much as you. Are you sure you wont regret if years down the road? Will you have thought you should have continue trying?

There are many gals who are still trying IVF in their late 30s and even 40s. If they can, i dont see why someone should just tell you that you should not.

Sorry if i offended you. I am just being frank. And i know how much all of us here desires to have a kid of our own. So i feel indignant for you when someone just put you down like this.
 
Cock Cock, you are such a responsible worker and superior to your staff. But again, your pregnancy is precious. Must learn to offload ok? Take it as empowerment for your staff. Its for their good also, its for their career and personal development. KK being govt hospital dont easily grant medical leave but if your are under pte now, they sure ask you to rest especially given your spotting incident and you are carrying twins!

When dr Loh gave me medical leave and i say i cant, i have to go back to work, he say its up to me if i want to be 'hero' ok? Then hb scold me also. Now i am still at home becos of that. They are right. Nothing is more precious to us now than our babies. If it even have to take me to quit my job, i will for career can be built back later but my babies took me 5 years to finally see their glimpse. You must take things easy ok? I feel heartpain for you. Just remember there is a time for everything. At most you work harder after you deliver but now you should only work harder for your babies, ie. to rest!

What a wet morning, make everything go doubly slow and cumbersome. My daily 1 hour excursion to the clinic for jabs ended up almost 2 hours. No cabs for calling also. Sigh~

Ladies taking tcm, the tcm clinic said I shld stop the herbs once AF arrives. Do they mean full bleed or some spotting also stop? The clinic's closed today so I can't call to ask too. I suppose safer to stop now?

if he tells you that u will have children even though u are already having difficulty now and trying out ivf, u will continue? life is not only about wat is predestined but also what we make it out to be... if u are just going to listen to a fengshui master and do nothing becos he says so then u might regret later on.....

Cockcock, yes I was very worried and the first tot that come to my mind is to see Dr Loh immediately. I also hv a few projects on hand, but my situation now is I need to rest and stay stress free. Luckily my boss is very understanding. Althou I feel paiseh to go on leave now especially during financial year end, my priority now is my baby. If anything happen, who do i blame? So i think you shd talk to your boss and delegate your job to ur staff. Take leave to rest as it is not easy being pregnant with twins.

Ching...I am on both crinone and Utragestan...I'm told to go for a blood test this sat...the blood test is just to test for progesterone level is it?
 
Jaded...I wld go ahead and try for a child whatever any fortune teller would tell me. Miracles do happen. My mum-in-law was told that she wldn't have children. Even doctors confirmed that because she has thyroid problems. She didn't care, she continued trying and had faith...4 yrs later, my hubby was born. And a year later, my bro-in-law was born. Who would have guessed that a woman who was told she cldn't have children already gave birth to 2 healthy boys.

Hello sisters,

Today is my 11 DPO and i am receiving another BFN again this morning. I am having all these symptoms which I believe I am not making these up, sore breast really really sore, backache and stomach pain in the afternoon at 9 and 10 DPO that I had to walk very slowly. I am starting to feel very sad now.. I am feeling that sth is happening in my stomach but it just won't show a BFP, not even a faint line... My menses is irregular but based on last month, today is the due date for it... Anyway, when can I accept this BFN?

Done with my ER. Dr loh said got 5 eggs. He came by to my bed while I awake n told me that wow got 5 eggs. He said my womb is not very fantasy but will move on from here n see how zzzZzZ
I KO the moment that old uncle put the needle n the last thing I remembered was I was talking to dr loh n laughing ... I told dr loh n nurse that when I sleep I abit noisy... Then the next second zzzzZzz I in Alice wonderland Liao... LOLx
 
Claire....dun be sad. Wait for ur BT. I think some sisters got a BFN on hpts but proven BFP after BT...so dun worry...

Claire, if i remember correctly, u r trying naturally. Dont test hpt lah n u might hv tested too early. No point putting unnecessary stress on urself. Stay zen okie.

Hi ladies, had my 1st scan this morning (d10). My lining was 6mm, right follicle was 14mm. Is this ok? Is my follicle growing too fast for my lining at this stage?

Aiyo, bbjourney & ching, this morning TFC is super busy, like mad house. maybe they are still busy now... Sofas all been taken up! Lucky my HD n myself were resting at the recovering room.

Seriously, Dr Loh is a very caring doctor..... Bcos he was standing at the TFC lobby to control traffic LOLx
 
Wenwen, i think you need to have atleast 8mm or 9mm for your linning; for ER once follicles reach 18mm they will proceed with it. Try drinking red bean soup to quick imcraese the linning.....

Claire, are you on ivf 2ww? If so, cannot use last menses date as due date. Furthermore if today is DPO 11, due date also not correct. Wait till at least DPO 14 if you really really want to test HPT. But even if see neg, dont despair too early and dont stop your supports. HPT no matter how, wont be as accurate as BT.

Hope, gratz on the 5th egg that sprung up as a last minute surprise! Wow things are looking good. Just rest well so your womb can rest as well to receive implantation when its time. Eh, Dr Loh control traffic??! Omy, thats funni! hahaha

Ching, whats the unit of measurement? If nmol, minimum is 30 nmol so you passed! I think 30 nmol is standard passing mark. I found that alot when i research on minimum progesterone level in luteal phase over the internet 2 weeks back. If ng/ml, then minimum is 9 ng/ml but i think most clinics here measure in nmol.

Have a good rest for your ET. Don't worry too much about what dr Loh said about your womb. If you can proceed with ET, should be ok wan. Btw, why was dr Loh at the lobby doing traffic control?
