Luvnhope, only dr loh can help her now. The nurse wun let her do in nov. Where to find such a dedicated dr? He is leaving for TMC n will be earning much more over there. He can choose to take life easy now u know. Dr loh needs not br so accommodative for us patients. I tell u, he most likely have not had lunch till now also. I asked my gf to go bakery buy some bread for him. Dr loh is not just a skillful dr, but he has a good heart n he tries to help us as much as he can. That really touches me alot.

I went on sunday to pay my respect but still thinking of going but my hubby refused as he say the baby is unstable, it is a life and if i go there i will be more emotional. Ya i went ahead with the transfer as dr didnt encourage to delay unless i want to cancel it

My mense just came so on day 1... I'm doing natural fet so it's just scan scan n then wait for ovulation n then ET... but I'm anxious becos I dunno if my embies will survive the thaw.
Btw, I heard from the ivf nurse that KKIVF may not close for dec cleaning but nothing is firm yet maybe due to too many requests to start due to dr loh's departure.

Since u have paid ur respect then I guess u listen to hubby n stay home to rest. Sometimes, it's better to be careful n u wouldn't want to blame urself if something happens. I may not understand ur close relationship with ur uncle but I'm sure ur late uncle would want the best for u too. U can always go Pay ur respects again after 2ww.

Hoping for the best but also preparing for the worst *touch wood*... what happens in the event of a failed fresh cycle? How soon can FET cycle take place? Or if *touch wood again* no frozen embbies, how soon can one start another fresh cycle?

Ganie.. just checked my records.. my aborted ET was on 27th May.. yup aborted coz slight OHSS. they did blood test but it was ok to go ahead but i was feeling very uncomfortable with the bloatedness. Yup menses came after aborted ET. sorry mixed up with the shortforms
I think that was the earliest but you can check with the nurses if can get earlier. But i think it's good to have ample rest before you continue for FET
YES i am looking forward for my massage hehe. i think i'll rest for a year.

Hazel, thanks for SF Loh's gmail. I previously email him on his KK email, no wonder I've not rec any reply = ( Your 8k total bill was lower than the estimated fee I was given, 9-11k, hope will work out to be cheaper.

Ladies, I only gt 3 eggs retrieved. 1 egg fertilized but not yet divided into few cells. 2 eggs still waiting to be matured. Anyone experience this? Gyne suggesting to cancel as no point transfer one embryo as only 10% chance to implant. May I kno w any ladies take more than 48hrs for their eff to mature or fertilise?

Hope4bb - even if got 1 go for ET. You have already gone so far, why cancel? The additional cost of ET is not too much. Think of it this way, most sistas can only put 2 anyway so you put 1 not too bad. In natural, also got one egg only. Also, if you dun transfer, the embryo will just b wasted. Give your embryo a chance if it cleaves (divide). Already the last section of the journey. Jia you

Just go with the flow n before u know it u'll be having ET. I remember eating 2 eggs every morning once I start puregon n avoid cold drinks even before I start lucrin. Basically, try to keep urself stress free n relaxed... U can do it!

U know for natural our hubby's sperm dun have the chance to meet or fertilize our eggs so now even if 1 egg is fertilized dont u think that's already a great improvement?
I agree with the rest that u should give that 1 embie a chance. U just need 1 fertilized embie to stick.

Hi Hazel, did your gf manage to talk to Dr Loh in the end and start her ivf in Nov?
I am also suppose to start in Nov and my menses is coming these 2 days, so got to call ivf centre but I worried they will push me to Feb. So wonder if I should go down personally to speak to Dr Loh.

Hi Hope_4_bb, why cancel. u went through hard time and come to this stage, cancel means no hope but ET still have 10% hope. I dont know why 10% maybe becos of the grade and ur age but i remember i went to the talk they say 1 egg implantation is higher than 2

Hi Looking Forward, I was quite surprised on what the nurse said as the Lucrin is always packed with ice, so it is really ok to continue using it after I left it outside for a day?
Anyway, the nurse keeps assuring me that is ok to continue using it and she did check on the Lucrin and told me is alright.

Hi LuvNhope, if I remembered correctly, when I failed the fresh cycle, I was asked to wait for subsequent month MS for the FET. Hahaha... I'm not a "patience" person, want to chop chop finished fast fast.
I went to KK in the mind of getting a new vial, but the nurse said not necessary as the Lucrin is still ok to use. She keeps assuring me and said not required to get new vail so I rush home for injection and to work.

Eskimobaby, yes, my first scan is on D10, lining already 8mm, follicle is 17.5 & ovulated. So Dr said no need for extra scan, straightaway ET on this coming Thursday. Surprised that It's so fast bcos I'm expecting to be nxt wk ET, already planned for my leave hehe.
My cycle is 26-28 days, consider short? Although this is not first time, but whenever I think of this I'm become nervous hehe. Better don't think so much first.

I dun think ur cycle is short. Rather i thot normal cycle are 28 days. Mine is considered long cos sometimes up to 35 days so dr Loh say I will need more scans. All the best for ur ET this Thursday!

Babymaps12, yes she waited from 2pm till 630pm before she saw him. Dr loh is spending alot of time with every patient coz he is leaving. He spent 30mins talking to my gf while there is a long list of patients still waiting after her. He wrote a memo to KKIVF for her but he wun push it coz KKIVF may not be able to cope. Chief embyrologist left yesterday. My friend's case is challenging as her tubes r very high up.. So r her ovaries. So, he actually thought for a while before writing the letter. Still, he will Leave it to KKIVF to schedule.
Her 2 nurses are following him. He is not going on leave in dec n then lab will not be closed for cleaning. He appologises of the current mess coz of his resignation. He assured my gf that he has trained his drs well so she does not hv to follow him to TMC. He said it will be v ex at TMC... His clinic will be at TMC while Ivf centre at novena centre. He has a new name card also. He also said he will semi retire at TMC....

Can check with Dr Loh whether can still email him for advice after his departure. Or there is a transition period, whereby him still act as advisor at kk and run his TMC clinic.
Lastly, do he personally feel that he can entrust his patients to which Dr at KK.

Thank you Hazel. Yes I can understand tat the ivf center must be extremely overloaded now. Dr Loh is indeed very dedicated. Hope your gf can squeeze into the schedule.
I might have to consider switching to Dr Tan or Dr Sadhana if can't get to do it in Nov. Hopefully I won't need to queue too long

White tiger, he sees patients at TMC. Ie consultation. Ivf centre is at novena centre as thomson has no Ivf centre. Just like Paul tseng, his Ivf is done at Care, paragon but he sees his patients at TMC clinic.
That is what I told. Also, apparently KKH gives dr loh a choice to do Ivf for the remaining 50 patients at SGH. But he didn't take that up as he seems that he is just given 2-3 slots a week only n to him, it is wasting his time when he can do much more procedures. I m not sure if this is true.

Hi ladies! I'm new here. I'm 28 this year with no conditions thus far. However, my husband has quite severe teratozoospermia. Tried SO-IUI before but failed. After which, we went for a 2nd opinion. Doc said not impossible to get pregnant but chances are slimmer than normal couples. Due to time factor (my FIL is very sick n I wld want him to see his grandchild before he passes on), i am considering IVF. Planning to go in Jan next year. I'm very worried for the ER n ET though (apart from the whole cycle itself). How are ER n ET like?
Hi all, I was one of them who was told that I can't do my IVF/ICSI in Nov when I went down to KKH for the briefing this morning. I was really disappointed as I was all prepared for the process and all....I din see Dr Loh though cos I know if the center cannot handle the workload then it's better not to overwork the embryologists and the team......

Serene, I was with Dr Loh and seen him yesterday. He has referred me to Dr Matthew Lau too but I've never heard of him before hand so I requested for another Dr. You might want to change if you don't feel comfortable with the referred Dr.
Jaded and Sugary, after seeing Dr Loh, what's the next plan? The crowd was huge yesterday and was my first time to stay back so late. Dr Loh has booked for me to do fresh in Feb next year and will do short protocol. He suggests me to see TCM since no other method for me and try natural at the same time.

Ladies, jus thinking hard on some issues. Yeah work does have some stress. Will you inform your boss to have less stress huh? yeah I have shared with my boss n apparently she knows I m trying. Not sure positively is she giving me chances to work with higher mgt or what.
My plan is to take no pay leave after mission completed. yeah I sincerely think that everything is worthed it. Jus sianz cos I know all nosy collegues will start SMSing n ask what happen again. To me, sometimes, priorities are clear when some of us have gone thru a far bit to have our mission completed.
Wanted to hear from you ladies esp Hazel, Tanney, Heartbeat, Moo3Moo, and also the rest on your views.
