if u've already exhausted all other options then it's not a rash decision.
i hv a 3yr old girl too. after trying unsuccessfully for a yr for #2, we jumped straight to ivf. didn't even bother with IUI.
am currently 8mths preggie with another girl.

since u've already made the decision, just go for it and dun think too much already.

U sound so painful.. Poor gal.. But all will be worthwhile when u bfp..;) btw, why need to poke hole on tummy?? U mean there is surgery on ur tummy? As i thot it just suck out fr the virginal? Wah.. So scary...;(

Haha, now resting in bed is my hobby. U should have a good rest while you are on leave next wk.

Do you feel more bloated after your increase jab? I think my bloating is due to my progesterone supports. Sometimes I m a gas emitting machine.

Will monitor my cramps and gatecrash Dr's clinic if my cramps worsen. *touchwood*. They are usually mild and goes off after sometime. Did check with Dr and he checked and said everything down there is expanding.

I got no guts to ask for thicker needles. When I first saw the how thick and long the jab needle was and I almost freaked!!
 
piggy... ur embbies gradings are good... in fact, i've not come across anyone with the top grade yet...

Hi bcube,

High fsh would mean that u would perhaps need more stimulating drugs or combination of drugs to stimulate more follicle growth. This would also mean that u may potentially need to buffer a little bit more on drugs. My fsh was 16.9 and I had to adminster 450u of puregon plus 150u of menopur for approx 14 days. This got me 3 follicles of which 2 fertilized and i just bfp. It's still in the early stages and I just had a bleeding scare just a couple of days back. Continue to stay positive and go for it.. Like many of the ladies here who have have advised.. U just need 1 good embroyo to implant to succeed. Keep healthy and positive. Good luck!

Don't worry too much on your FSH too. My FSH was 7++ and I do not have PCOS and was initially quite worried that I will not respond well on stimulation jab too. Due to my age & fsh, was given 300iu of GonalF for 11days and had 60follicles retrieved.

Things actually took a turn for the worse on Wed early morning when I went to the toilet at ard 2am. Saw fresh red blood on my panty liner size of a 50 cent coin. Panicked and wiped and the whole tissue was with pinkish blood. Can u imagine?? I knew my gynae had a surgery to attend to in the morning and decided to head down to kkh 24 hour. Redid my bloods and did a scan. Spent a grueling 3 hours there before the doc gave me the support progesterone jab. They din wanna administer proluton on me.. Stating that was for later gestation.. Once I had the jab.. The bleeding eased and I followed up with my regular gynae and everything is still looking ok. Saw the fetus for the first time tho it's really tiny at only 1.6mm...saw the flickering of the heartbeat and that assured me.. I m now on complete bed rest till after Xmas..following up with my visits to dr Yeong on a weekly basis.. And continuing with my supports ie crinone and oral utrogestron.. Taking the lotus root and glutinous rice porridge as well as advised

Btw ladies, any good alternatives to relieve nausea? Morning sickness has just set in at exactly 6 weeks for me.. And the queasiness is really quite unbearable.. I can't even sleep it off..

happy: me on the progesterone inserts as well. So funny, the pharmaist said to me, insert it right up the vagina AND don't worry, it will not reach your baby. Must be common question, that's why she said that even before I say anything.

bcube: I think it is not a rash decision. I have a 3 yr old son too and trying for 2 years. Went for 1 iui and then go straight to IVF. If you seriously want more kids, then you gotto to go get what you want. ;)

I guess you are right. Just have to make the decision and not lok back. My fear was that if i keep waiting, I will get too old and may just give up on having #2!

wow looks like there are a few of us who already have one child but having difficulty.
Mine is a case of unexplained fertility problem. thats the frustrating part. UNEXPLAINED. Dont know whats wrong, so cant even try to 'cure'.

keep having small snacks, like crackers to nibble on. that help with nausea.

i hope I m one of the lucky ones which will see the morning sickness ease before the end of the first trimester ... It's quite a torture.. But the good thing is that I know the little one is growing..

Yea.. Wed scare was a big ordeal for my hubby and I..really huge one...
 
nip... haha... the pharmacist so cute... now i'm thinking how to continue with the 3pm insert when i go back to work cos got to lie down... the hl only 14 days, the inserts for 17 days... mmm...

Ladies after fail cycle n waiting for FET.. Can I chk.. Will d ovulation b same as prior IVF cycle or generally will n delayed?
I m at cd 14, but no sign or sight of ovulation..or fainty Li e on opk.

Barely half a mth to end of 2010.. Hope we can realize okie bb wish next yr..

I had a natural preg in nov 07, but mc in dec at 6-7 wkd due to low hormones level. Last reading was 833 Oli. Till now, 3 hrs, Hvnt been able to conceive. Failed 2 soiui prior in 2009, n last mth failed fresh IVF.
It took me lots courage to embark on IVF due to health complication.. But its not as scary as what I Thot it to be.
no.. I din think u rush into this decision.. Just go for it n stay positive once u made ure decision. All d best

One thing for sure.. Ensuring that I get enuff rest and less stress.. Coz I m one big kancheong spider and that could be one of the triggers which caused the distress.. My theory .. Heh

Hi buddies ;) I'm also on the Progesterone insert going for my blood test on next Tuesday then BT on 30 Dec ;) I'm working very hard now talking to the embbies ha ha .. Hope they grow well ... Hmmm can I check did u girls buy the insurance from great easten ??

i'm not in good health now... couldnt get anything down the stomach... keep vomiting... today dunno got hit 10 times or not...

the remaining 30 follicles in my ovaries lorz... hoping that they would disintegrate themselves...
couldnt load up on protein or water... cos keep vomit... so xin ku for me... plus pain so bad, i could hardly move...

ya joanne, they poke holes on my stomach to retrieve some eggs...

i think yr case is quite extreme cos u hv so many follicles. if u can't keep anything down pls go to the hospital cos u will get dehydrated.
there is a jab to stop vomiting and then maybe put u on drip so that u dun get dehydrated and yr stomach can rest.

Stickybfp, I was also feeling terrible from moderate OHSS. Was only discharged yesterday. I was having very bad bloatedness, cramp and felt nauseous. It was really not a good feeling to feel nauseaous all the time, i felt like dying. I cannot imagine what you are going through with so many eggs retrieved. Have you gone back to the hospital? They put me on drip even though I did not vomit as much as you. They also gave me jab to prevent vomitting.

Stickybfp, continue to drink lots of water. I know it's difficult. The more you drink, the more bloated and nauseous u feel, but must drink. The funny thing for me is that I find drinking plain water a real chore but I felt much better when I drink beverage and soup. Haha...but it helps. Ya, electrolytes will help.

Take care dear. I know it feels awful, really awful but dont worry, you'll get better.

MS hv not kicked in yet ? Can understand that your spotting episode really triggered a huge scare. At current stage, please do lotsa of bed rest and talk to your bb

Don't worry about the remaining follicles in you. Did your Dr mentioned that the 30 remaining follicles in you are the small little ones? For me, after retrieving my bunch of 60 follicles and 3 wks after my ER, there are still a bunch of small new follicles sprouting out. I was quite worried that my ovaries can't stop producing follicles. Was put on OCP and Lucrin and all the new follicles varnished after a month. Meanwhile monitor your discomfort and go down to your clinic if you feel really unwell & take care!
 
Hey day! MS has just kicked in for me right after the bleeding episode.. I was mentioning that the queasiness is really quite unbearable!! Very tempted to ask my doc for anti nausea pills if there is any he could allow me to safely consume..

Today is the 9th day after my transfer(did my ET on the 10th). Somehow, I don't feel preggy. Read that OHSS will get worse with preganancy but I'm actually getting better. Not so nauseous and bloatedness has also gone down. No more cramps too. *Still hoping for the best though*.
 
Hi Dan,

Just keep positive and dun worry about symptoms..Not everyone will have symptoms.. I din have any symptoms during my 2WW, possibly also becoz I only had 3 follicles retrieved but had a bfp as well.

Have sufficient rest, eat well and drink your fluids!

errr if u got preggy naturally u wouldn't feel preggie now also. so all those 'preggie' symptoms are actually from the drugs we take.

by 2nd wk of 2ww i was perfectly normal already, no nauseousness, no bloatedness, nothing.....and to me that's normal cos i had a very easy pregnancy when i was preggie with my #1 as well. wat i felt in the 1st wk of 2ww, all the symptoms, in fact i felt is not normal
