What do you girls mean when you say you've packed your bags already?? Do enlighten me. Still trying to familiarise myself with the medical terms. heehee.

I managed to squeeze in an appointment with Dr Zou for this Friday afternoon. Yipee!!

Hi, I am new here.. Just started my IVF injection on 2 Aug. Going to 2nd visit on 14 Aug..
For my case, My HD has less sperm count so tried for 1 year but still no news. So we are trying IVF as IUI seen very low chance.

I've been with CC for 2 cycles. Yes, he is very experience (and of course very expensive). But if you are going to him for detailed explanation, consultation. Think he may not be a very good choice. He is too busy. No time to talk to you much. Or maybe he doesn't like to talk much. He may know what he is doing, but he would not tell you anything.

Do you want to consider Dr Foong? He is on the 3rd level in GE. Very patient and caring Dr. With him, I feel very comfortable and assured. He will let you know what exactly is happening. I think that kind of support is what we needed now.

i read from some post that need to get referal letter for KKIVF if not they will treat as private. How/where to get referral letter and if no letter will be more expensive issit?
 
for referral letter go to polyclinic to get.

gers - Wah liew... today woke up n aching all over, really don't know what I'm doing during my sleep... then so sleepy even at 10am I had hard time to pry open my eyes...
 
today wake up with a super painful throat! swallow saliva also painful!! I really dunno wats happening, hubby almost send me to GP just now but I prefer to monitor till tonite. nose still intact, but with those constant sneezing my nose is very red now... ARGH!!! I'm going crazy

for referral letter from polyclinic, do i see a normal doc or they have special dept?

and then for KKIVF, can choose which doc?
 
referral letter can get from any doc, they will then schedule u for Appt to kkh's clinic D. at clinic d it will be subsidized rates but no fixed doc will consult u it will be whoever be on duty. there u can do all the basic ferility tests at subsidized rates.

after getting the results u can decide if u want to go with kkivf, if u choose a certain doc to go with it will be private rate frm then on.
 
Today I woke up with a bit of dry blood stain.. Then quite worry call up the IVF ctr and they told me to call back if it is a full flow. I do not if it is a menses or like what some mentioned implantation bleeding.. Any advise??

wat day past ET? if it's abt 5-7 days past ET it could be implantation bleeding. just monitor and make sure it's not fresh blood and full flow. brown stains is still ok.
 
LLTJ - strictly no coffee and tea during ivf, I also must have my morning + tea break. I subsitute with milo or other drinks. but according to web reports by london researcher, hubby shld drink more cos can make their soldier swim faster!! I'm gonna make hubby drink more coffee from now on!
 
Take care seaview - if brownish is old blood ... if fresh red then go 24hrs or yr own gynea for advise..

I know why i feel so horrid liao ... I'm having slight cramps ... didn't experience cramps before so I didn't know what's this feeling ...

putting a hot pad to tummy area now. after eating lunch & a quick shower ... I feel more human
 
all ladies, any1 know how long is good to try FET after a miscarriage? For Dr, they will say 2-3 mths. But dunno whether the body can take it in short period.
 
Seaview, brown discharge may also a good sign. for me, i have brown discharge on D13 after ET. Go to KK 24 Hr and they did not do anything.... BT on D15 n is +ve with 200+ BHCG. But lost it at wk 6.

can i ask... Wk 5 will have a scan, so at then you saw heartbeat, then after that what happen? I mean you knew you lost it cos of the bleeding? You went back work after 2ww? Hope you dun mind me asking
 
Hi ineedmiracle, my 1st scan with Dr Loh is 6wk 3 day. but 4 day before scan i did a BHCG at pte gynea n the BHCG is drop. I didnt work after 2ww as i got additional 10 day HL. My BHCG double every 2 day till D22. after that due to bleeding and went to check BHCG again but it already start to decrease....
 
I have low progesterone level, D6 after ET, the level is only 28. D16 after ET only 38. KKH refuse to jab for me on D15 when tested +ve. Only said come back for BT on D17 which is the actual BT day. The nurse only said call them if got full bleed. otherwise brown discharge is ok....
 
Thanks winniepooh!But i cant stop coffee now as once i stop i will have strong headache! Like today, i put one small tea spoon instead of 1 1/2 coffee powder + a lot of milk still... strong headache till noon...

Just don't understand why wont kkivf give tat extra support knowing you P is low. It is so risky. Or is it every hospital wont gv that extra support? Haiz....
 
oh dear.... Im getting veri depress and scared. This is what i worry. My P is already low now. And what if my P level is low during 2ww? And if kkivf gg to brush it off, i will breakdown during 2ww.

Yesterday my hubby was asking when am i gg to start ivf. He sensed my stress.... I tink im just appearing to look calm. But im stressed up. Argh!!!

u having a BT on the day of yr ET? possibly to check yr E2 and P levels to determine support level or if possibly whether u can proceed with ET cos u have quite a no. of eggs retrieved
 
During 2ww, my support is insert. So Dr Loh know my case and said FET will give jab instead of insert as my progesterone level is low. Dr Zou also said for my case is due to not enough support during 2ww n lead to MC. Anyway, is already happen, I cant blame KKH also. Is my own body didnt produce enough progesterone lead to the lost. Hope everything will be smooth during FET.
