was at kkivf just now, quite crowded.
Nurse gave me the schedule for medicated fet, full menses, d4 starts progynova
But interestingly she said aspirin after ET??
Anyone did fet at kk and took aspirin?
 
Hello, i am new here, any one can tell me what to expect on the first visit to IVF centre? I got 1 16 month old child, now trying for 2nd one, as age is catching up, so opted for IVF... I waited 7 yrs to get my first naturally...
 
Hi ET,

If i can still remember first visit nurses will advice you and do a blood test for you and your hubby etc.. and then give a date for the counselling etc.

i didnt ask.. in any case, prof doesnt give hypothetical answers, so ask him, he might also tell u he doesnt have an answer.. my guess is that the eggs still small during retrieval? i was stimulated for 14 days, and follicle size is good (16 to 18mm), so i feel that follicle size does not equate to egg size? i also not sure... maybe over suppressed in long protocol?

Prof did console me that the results already not the worst, at least there were 2 good embryos for me to transfer, and he suggested a short protocol for me to try for my 2nd round.. maybe u can ask him how come he gave u 2 long protocols?
 
also, i dont have pcos, so i think i was suitable for short protocol.. will not get too many small follicles if not suppressed.. do u suffer from pcos?

Thanks for the reply. No, I dont suffer from PCOS, in fact all my bloodtests/scan showed good results. Similar to you, i was stimulated 14 days, and good numbers of follicles and good size etc. I dint know there is another option which is Short protocol (and therefore dint ask Prof why he did 2 long ones on me). I am going to call the clinic and find out more from Tovelle.
 
ET , I dun think you get to do the procedure so fast. Firstly call up the clinic and check with them with month is available and so on...

Now for IVF you maybe be put on queue.
(depends on the hospital queue and so on)

Which hospital are you considering to do your ivf?
 
Queenie, can advise me when do I need to make appt with Dr Zhou? On cd 1 or finish menses? Does my DH need to go to? What is their operating hrs?

I am with KKHIVF I am half way thru my IVF cycle wich started in FEB2010.... just started stage 2...

The Procedure must be very tough... I went through 1x IUI with TMC few years back, very stressful. Spend so much but nothing happened. God is good enough to give me my first son, when I had given up hope in 2008...
 
Hi Skies,

So do you feel any "difference" during the 2ww, is it the same as ET, which will feel bloated... etc. Understand from the nurse that do not need to have any BT after FET until the 17th day, any things else to take note?

Need to cover all areas so that won't be "blur" when the time come.

Hi all - so exciting to see some of you in the middle of your IVF cycle, some about to start. All the best to all of you!

I will be doing my 2nd FET in May, so counting down the days till then. Meanwhile, trying naturally for this month, maybe it might work!! If not, then next month need to start BCP already. I'll just ensure that in these two months, i 'tiao' my body, exercise more, eat nutritious food.... that's the only thing I can do now to pass the time

Cry and carry on but dont give up. Tiao ur body 1st then proceed with 2nd round.

I know how u feel cos this is my 2nd round and blood test is next week. I myself do not know how it will be but for sure u have all our support here.
 
Gan, during my FET, I took aspirin before and after ET. Initially, I was also told by nurse to take after ET, but I remember Dr Loh told me to start together with progynova. So I requested the nurse to reconfirm with Dr Loh and then was told to take before and after ET. So not sure if you want to ask the nurse to check with Dr Loh. All the Best to your FET.
 
Ladies, Got a question

I did my ET on 27/02/2010
Did my 1st blood test on 5/3/2010 (they nv call so i think result ok for my homos)
Going for my 2nd blood test on 16/3/2010

But now i do have a feeling of my menses is coming. As i'm having some clear discharge even my breast is sore and tummy cramp just like pre-menses coming... anyone encounter clear discharge after ET? cause i heard that after ET day 10-14 is the time that menses will or will not come...

i am soory to hear that. don't be disheartened and try again! you have many frozen embryo of good grade so i hope you can strike in FET!

did you have your ER done at kk at 10-11am on 25Feb? i think i saw you outside the operation theater cos my ER was just before yours!
i have both white and transparent discharge after ET. according to nurses at kk, it's normal to have more discharge after ET due to the progestrone inserts. i am feeling very tired these few days and having slight cramp in the lower abdomen too..seems like menses is coming..or maybe i am thinking too much these few days. i think this 2WW is quite unbearable. i hope that my BT on 16Mar can come soon!
 
Bing : i think so i was there at 8am... woke up abt 10am+ Same my BT is at 16 march too.... dunno y i just feels menses coming every time go toilet check... did a test on the 10 march but negative so i think abit depress... tired yes... i always sleep in the afternoon even i woke up 10am-11am.... normally i slept at 1am-2am but now 11am my bed will start to call me...

I am not that young la , turning 31 this year.. one of the reasons to go ivf was hubby sperm had low mortility(slow moving) plus one of my tubes is aso kinda very narrow.

After all the tests, I opted that I want to go IVF straight rather than other methods as we have been married 4yrs plus coming to 5.

Marriane was the doc for me and eventually she agreed to let me do the IVF and so I proceed from there.

Gd Morning. I see your problem. My hubby sperm also not very good too. Other than that, may be is stressful lifestyle. Do update me on your progress of the IVF. I hope to see you having a baby soon. I got a friend with big problem, had one of her ovary removed due to cyst, now after ivf pregnant with Twins. I so happy for her, I wish you will be the same. Good Luck!
 
oh i not sure with the short form terms in IVF.

Some of wich i knw.

2ww = 2 week wait
FET = Fresh Egg Transfer
HPT = Home Pregnancy Test
DH = Darling Hubby
AF = Auntie flo (menses)
 
Nope not yet me still in puregon/lucrin stage... just started jabbing puregon today. Next Friday will be going for a scan to see eggies size then will knw when can ER.
