Thanks Skies. I read up on assisted hatching, it says it will damage 1% embryos. The gd thing is it has an increase rate in identical twins. Some also say assisted hatching migh not help in implant. Hmm feeling abit down(1st setback and hope tat is the last) but still ok. Still thinking abt the 2 & 3 maybe will be like u and listen to wat Dr Cheng says. Yup ET thurs 1130 must reach at 1100.

Really?? Oh no.. I'm more worried.. Coz mine is FET, scared d embryos will not survive during d thawing. I asked d embyologist about d rate of fresh cycle n FET. She said their FET success is quite high too.

Does d lining affect d implantation??

yes... u'll be given mc from ur ER (egg retrieval) onwards for abt 2 wks to 17 days depending which hosp u r with... stage 1 and 2 u can still continue working but may need to take some time off in some mornings for scans

My MS lasted for 4 mths in my 1st pregnancy but
it started 1 week later than this time.

winter break from 23 dec till jan 1.
at least then i do not need so much of mc.

i just take time off for my scans.
 
Skies if i am not wrong lining will affect implantation. What i heard from Dr Cheng is 16 then consider thick. During sat scanning mine is 13 already just hope tat it will not thicken. U noe ur lining? Gd to hear tat their FET success rate is high.

need to go for ivf, but cannot affort to take 2 weeks off. dun know how. i was thinking can i just take a few days mc than go back to work during 2ww, can advice?
 
Hazel, I understand. Lucky me working...keep me busy no time to think....be Positive God will take care of us, he knows what is good for us. :p

Glad, after transfer u try to rest for at least 3 to days? ur co dont have to take block leave???
 
Mummy, am trying to... b4 my close gf went for her holidays, she already told me i shld not be bothered with all the symptoms during the 2ww coz they are not real. She told me not to panic even if the symptoms go away. she said some women have no symptoms at all when they are pregnant. She is a very positive lady & equally blessed like Singapoh. She succeeded to get pregnant in all her ivf attempts.

am really praying very very hard.. hope GOD will grant me another miracle like my missed lucrin scare...

3 days is ok, more than that i dun think so.
i'm 37 years old now, really not sure abt the successful rate. will book for a consultation asap. how much $$$ need to spent for the whole process?

Glad, do not be bothered by your age. It is important to keep yourself happy and positive throughout the process. my colleague is 39 this year and she succeed in her 1st IVF cycle with only 1 embryo.

Hazel, do try not to analyse all the symptoms else very stressful de.

Hazel, for my son i dont think i have any feeling & was supprise to be BFP, same now. due to the med tummy pain, back ache very normal as we keep thinking about it. make appointment with ur friends to go out for lunch that help.

berrbaby, I'm at my 2 wk, BT on 21 dec...

Glad, on ER day u will be on HL for at least 2 days ET on 3 days...rest for a few more days....in all should be around 5 to 6 days. do u need to work on weekend???

Please continue to stay positive. i am trying my best to keep it together cos I am feeling some menstrual-like cramps, the kind which i had for my failed FET.
 
bakaholic, okay, we all be positive. Cramps cam mean nothing. Singapoh has cramps also but she BFP.

Blissful, hv lunch with friends sure will be asked why am not working, why my tummy looks bigger than norms, etc. Dun wan to tell lies n neither do I wan to share too much now...
 
Hi gers - wondering if any of your informed yr immediate supervisor/ boss about this IVF. Cos it will take up quite a chunk of HL/ MC's & def need to let the covering know why suddenly so many HL/ MC's taken ....

Think Positive Hazel ! Distract yrself ... nothing good can come about from worrying too much. All the Best !
 
Hi Singapoh, may I know if the cramps you had were like as if AF is coming kind. You know what I mean, cramps on and off for a few days before AF comes?

JJ, thanks for ur well wishes. Depends on how comfortable u r to let ur boss know. U can always says u r going for a surgery. Hospitalization leave wun put for wat reason. Hope this helps.
 
JJ, I told my boss & coll (as my boss & coll are very understanding people). Do to restructuring of our co our dept will be affected so i will be out of job by end Jan & most likely this will be my last try.

I don't usually get cramp during my period and yes it's like menses cramp. Also increase in discharge. What stage are you now?
 
JJ, i told my immediate boss. I also told my director as i was trying to get her endorsed something and she mentioned she will discuss with me during the period when i was supposed to be on HL. But she was nice to tell me go ahead and don't worry about work when i told her i won't be in office for 3 weeks as i am doing IVF.

Waiting for my menses to come n hopefully I could start on OCP this month so next month will be FET. Coz my 1st cycle I have to freeze all embryos.

I was wondering if anyone does FET w/o resting for a few months after their fresh cycle.
 
Singapoh, thks for your reply. I'm on medicated FET and am in my 2ww now. Been getting AF like cramps since D11. It comes on for a few seconds then goes away throughout the day. Been surfing on the net these few days and it seems many people said such cramps are normal, but I'm still worried.
 


skies, can we don't rest for a few months after fresh cycle?
I am seeing Dr Loh on 6 Jan, would want to ask him how many months break before i could do FET
