Hazel, i read in your earlier post that you have tested for D21 BT before when u take clomid. what is this test for?
I have never done that BT before
 


Gan, that is to test that ovulation has occured. U shld hv tested before. If not, ivf cycle u wld be asked to test one.
 
Gan, i did D21 test twice. Once before clomid to check if i do ovulate. am on 3 mths clomid without success. break for 3 mths n started on clomid again for anoher 3 mths. so, the 2nd cycle Prof Tee checked my hormones level again to ensure i respond to clomid. He was the one who did sperm test for my dh also. He always said, there are nothing wrong with us and told me not to be so stressed & gan cheong. i saw him for a year before he referred me to his buddy, Dr Loh.

Gan, if you are prepare to know the new you can try. For me am scare not as brave as sunflower had spotting on D11 for my fresh cycle dare not test but tested on D14 as saw spotting again, sad neg....now trying to take it easy...heehee
 
he also scanned me every time when i visited him.. even when i was on clomid. he said i defintely have eggs & he cld see a no of follicles when i was on clomid. he also said my lining is good. just that, quality of eggs he cant tell from scan.

he told us luck plays a part.. he said he has patients who dh have bad sperms but then these patients are still parrents of a few kids naturally. like was Sunflower shared, it is a very complicated process & at times infertility cannot be explained.
 
gan, a ex colleague's wife tried very hard for 7 years to conceive. go TCM, see Doc n spent lots of money. after 7 yrs of trying, they were exhausted & money was drained... n they gave up... but not long after, the wife got pregnant naturally.. n she proceeded to hv no 2 naturally also..

my classmate married for 6 years. no precaution but the wife nv conceive, they also nv see any doc or did any check. they just continue praying (they are christians)... after 6 long years, with faith in GOD, the wife finally got pregnant & his daughter was born this year.

another classmate has PCOS.. she always have problems with her menses since puberty.she saw dr Sheila Loh, the head b4 Dr SF loh. she did not even have to do SO-IUI or IVF... she conceived naturally for no. 1 then she wanted for a 2nd child when no. 1 was 5 yrs old.. so she went back to see Dr Sheila Loh at kkhivf again.. n she got pregnant again for no 2... n she switched gynae mid way through when Dr Sheila left for raffles medical... she has 2 sons now..

how do we explain all these??? is all luck n if God has mercy for us & grant us a child...
 
gan, u sure u nv do?? cannot be leh.. they must make sure u do ovulate before proceeding to ivf.. wat happens if they stimulate n u dun ovulate?
 
gan, my gf who have 2 successful ivf cycles with dr loh.. dun react with clomid.. ie, take clomid she also nv ovulate! D21 test results howed
 
Hazel really never do, i kept all my records in a file. Only have the D2/D3 BT. Maybe KKIVF didn't realise that I didn't do the test. =p

Yes, having kids is a blessing and not something within our own control. My gf did IVF and was not successful but subsequently, she had a baby girl naturally.
 
Hazel, even if i don't ovulate naturally, with the HCG in IVF, will still ovulate right?

I am going home later after lunch, missed my bed at home! will come back to mum's place on Tuesday after my BT.
 
gan, u also need to do blood test? Prosterstone inserts not for 18days through out? U asked for a report for all ur blood tests including at Kkivf? I Nv ask.. Shld hv asked.
 
no my BT report is from thomson medical, no need to ask, they will send 1 copy to you.
KKIVF was using the bT results from thomson medical since i gave them a copy. But before i started my IVF, i asked on my own accord to do another D2/D3 blood test since the one from thomson medical was done in Oct last year

Yes, D8 there is a BT for progesterone

I'm lucky MIL didnt bother whether i have baby, but when i have my son she ask my hub who going to take care...(my hub is the only son) her sis not marry....
 
Hazel, 4 thraw all 4 n put in 3 (3rd cycle). ask Dr Loh what is the grade he said ok my hub ask the lab said is grage 3

, should be not bad the last round FET (2nd cycle) same they thraw all 4 n only 1 is good the other 2 so so to save $ he advise me to put in 2 but it is still up to us so we put in 2 BFN.
 
Hazel, my son 1st cycle FET. now 3 cycle FET. I dont have any more embyros left. Am very lucky to have my son. the nurse was supprise how come i didnt manage to BFP since I manage to have my son @ the 1st cycle.

blissful, this time round, u will make it!!! u already quite blessed coz ur embyros survived the thaw. that is half the battle won!

BTW, can you check with you, the protein powder which favour you are taking? Chocolate or vanilla.

One of my colleagues told me one of her first pregnancy symptoms was painful boobs, so yours could be a good sign!
 
Ya Hazel, Dr Loh had suggested getting Prof Tee to do it for me, tt's y i have to wait till early Jan when everyone is back from the dec leave....I'm sure he's good, tt's y Dr Loh will want him to do for me...

Hazel, I did feel my boobs a bit swollen when I was at the early stage of 2ww......
 
gan & Soon-to-be, thanks. I still get the suan suan feeling at my pelvic bones now n then... My left hip bones also.... I hope they r nothing..

We used our medisave to pay for my FET. The nurse asked me "are you sure you want to use medisave for FET? Coz can use 3 times only. You used once for your fresh IVF cycle and this is considered 2nd time" My reply to her was " I am not going to do so many rounds!" :p

My case is also unexplained infertility. At first dh's sperm count was low but improved after taking Vitamin E. Tried for so many years till fed up. MIL thinks it's my problem

First few weeks were really exhausted. I felt so dead tired all the time. Now not so tired but vomiting more often and nauseous mostly in the evening.

Till now I don't have sore boobs.
 
Tangtang, same as me, i am also with dr loh.
You are using jan mens to do? did you check whether kk will be closed during CNY in Feb?
 


Singapoh i think everyone's pregnancy symptoms are different. Some may not have much symptoms. my gf didn't even know she is pregnant after only she was 3 months big. When she went for the first gyane check up, the gynae said congratulations you have just passed your first trimester. =p
I hope your nauseous will be over soon.. must be so uncomfortable
