tang, I only feel slight discomfort on the day of the check. Anyhow, dun worry, it varies from individual to individual. Can I ask why do u need to do SHG test before FET? Fresh cycle that time u Nv do? I did SHG coz it was suspected that I hv polyps when dr loh scan me in his room.
Egg white is rich in protein. For those in fresh Cycle, we need it for egg stimulation n production. FET u r not retrieving any eggs, maybe dun need. That's my views.

Tangtang, how did you know you have left over fetus. I had my miscarriage at 7weeks. Went for D&C too. NO bleeding after that just spotting. FIrst menses was spotting. My 2nd menses came and did not stop for almost 2 weeks. Went back to my dr and he gave me a medication to stop it. NOw it is ok. I wonder what happen to that 2weeks of menses....but dr said it is normal.

muski, i checked, confirmed i was only given 1 extra package of 10 syprings & 1 packet of 20 alcohol swaps.. stupid right? i must remember to ask the nurse when i go down next tues for scan. how to trust the medical staff meh.. if not coz i counted, i wld hv to waste another trip down to buy when i run out

Anyone here with tcm dr zou at amk and taking her herbs?
Cos im also with her for accup but never take her herbs and considering to start soon... Can share more with me? Like whether the herbs purpose is for what? To make womb stronger and not cold? Can the herbs helps in improving eggs quality for ivf? Thks in advance!

One more question
when the hospital gives MC for the two weeks after ER/ET, does the certificate state for what reason? Or it's just a generic KK hospitalisation cert? - this determines if ppl at work noe anot

When I was buying the Lucrin and stuff, I had no idea how many of each item I'd need, so I just follow what the nurse recommended.
Ladies who do ivf at kk, is it the norm to have only a scan after 7 days of puregon? Shouldn't they monitor the progress more closely, like scan once every 3-4 days?
I'm worried that by the time they do the scan on D7 of puregon, i'd either have under-developed or over-developed follicles. Was thinking of calling them to bring forward the scanning date but I thought I should check with you gals first.

tummy jab is usually done daily in stage 1 and stage 2. thigh jab is the hcg jab to mature ur eggs before ER. after ET depends on situation, sometimes they will give u daily thigh jab but u can sign a consent to jab n buttock.
as for HL cert, is hand written and it didnt state ivf for kkh, but if u done in nuh, is a computerised print, it will state ivf.

muski, the nurses at KKH will not bring fwd the scan for you one. u can try calling. they have protocol to follow. Min 7 days of puregon then they will scan. that goes the same for lucrin, min 14 days.
i did not count when i collected lucrin then. but since i am finishing those in the box, i counted how many i have n if i have enough..

hugs on ur failed fet...for me i only tried accup with dr zou for my 2nd fresh cycle, i didnt take any tcm herbs.. have u got review wth ur dr? maybe can find out more reasons..and also maybe some sisters here can share more on tcm herbs..do tiao ur physical as well as ur mentally now...i know is not easy, but am sure it will certainly success one day ...hugs again

yes..me currently into my 9wks plus pregnancy
i do feel accup did help me along the way, but of cos i had done lots of other changes compared to my 1st ivf which i didnt prepare any... i never try herbs b4 so dun feel like trying... and my eggs quantity and quality does improved a lot.

wow really alot of changes... But most of it is medical changes on the dr part.. At first i tot yr changes is on yr side.. Like diet, tcm etc... I agree with u on the luck side.. I also feel my stress on the ivf also attributes to the failure.. Cos too anxious to succeed tats y... Must change my attitude to be more positive on my 2nd try...

i have one of those Coleman ice packs.

Had to be creative, so what i did was i placed the Lucrin bottle (with the outer plastic bottle) and the ice pack into a thick sock. Then I placed the whole thing in an envelope with bubble wrap insides (less than $1 from a stationary shop).
When i reached the hotel room 7 hours later, it was still frozen cold.

nctgrace - you'll be nicely sedated during ER so dont worry about discomfort. I woke up after the procedure but slept intermittently for at least for few hours after that. Haha, all the other ladies who also did the ER procedure with me had all gone home by the time I left.
ET - it's like a trans-vaginal ultrasound/pap smear discomfort level. Anyway, you'll be quite excited when you see the embryos on screen and with your hubby by your side, i'm sure you'll forget any discomfort.

I must remember to ask the nurse next week if can take painkillers if the cramps are bad. Actually, tomorrow is D14 after Lucrin n I can go for scan leow, menses more or less finished leow. But was scheduled to do on D18. Haiz..

My dh working environment is very hot and that is the cause of low sperm count.
Yah, same as you that he comment more on my dh and mine he did not said much.
At first we not plan on IVF and wanted to try nature way...but after I went to Woodland Library for Prof's talk, I came home and told my dh that why not make a try. My dh very supportive and he really into it. So by the time we decided, we already went thru all the BT, so on last Tue, when we told Prof abt our decision, he straight away sent us to CHR and said that I'm in time for this Sat's talk.

thanks spiffy, seems like you hand-carried ? did you go through customs as per normal ? were there questions asked ?
will this affect the effectiveness of lucrin ? did you inform your doctor before you travelled ?

Thank you very much! I miss out tis point when I had my counselling with NUH...cos when I had mine wif KKH last year, they told me no reason will be indicated....so I tort its the same for NUH...

Rostrum, the leave will not indicate IVF leave.
I did not try asking Prof for longer HL during IVF. But i guess if you asked for it and with valid reasons, I am quite sure he can accomodate.
I remembered after my D&C review, I asked him for MC for the day though i only saw him like for 10minutes. He did not question me.
