IVF/ICSI Support Group


Can someone enlighten me... im starting my cycle next month and in admidst also starting a new job likely.... are all the KKH appts in the mornings ? the jabs?

Thanks for all the encouragement. Actually is sickening not to know what went wrong when there are symptoms of implantation....

The rest of your still in 2ww...hang on..ok..may you get BFP...

All MTBs; take care and enjoy the pregnancy ok..

As for me...i believe if it's meant to be then it's meant to be...only thing i can do now is to continue my folic acid and multivits and accu of course...and tiao my body...

Its a bad time to start a new job. Most of the appts are in the morning. Scans, BT at 8.30am and u shld be able to get to work by 10.30. Bear in mind that u may report to work later if u need to go home after the appt to keep the medicine in the fridge as they need to be stored in the fridge. You will do your own injections at home, can be morning or evening. Be prepared to take some time off cuz on one ocassion, I scan in the morning, left the hosp. Then later, nurse call me to collect my med at 3pm again.

You will be given MC for 2 wks aft your Embryo Transfer.

i thought unless ur AF comes then u will get BFN

but ur AF does not come and got BFN,did the doc say anyting?r u gg to meet them again for a review?

was ur spotting at d15 a lot?

Thanks for the info... travelling around shouldnt be a problem as my hubby drives me around but what I am worried will the jabs n the hormone boosts give mood swings and such?

For me now at stage 2, not much side effects so far.
But others have reported mood swings, headache, nausea bloatedness etc. So its individual. Fr wat I heard, its easy to get mc fr kk.
 
I am getting very nervous... thinking of it next month... wonder what is in suprise in store for me.... so many stuffs to read... i guess i should go with the flow ??

Many ladies continue working while IVF. But if its a new job, your boss/colleagues may not understand your absence at times.

All the ladies on this forum are here to support u. Before I started, I was also very lost but all the kind ladies answered my queries. They are even better than the Drs and nurses! U can ask me anything I will try my best to answer. BTW, many ladies here are doing accupuncture twice a week to increase success rates.
 
Oh ok how does accupuncture increases the fertility, How should i go about it? if matters comes worst i might delay my cycle.... thats what im thinking for the past 15mins.

Sigh.... ok back to accupuncture , what am I supposed to do??
 
Me being a non chinese I have language barrier when i visit chinese physicians.. Just few months back a fren brought me to a chinese sinseh near chong pang to treat my back after a fall down the escalator....

Trust me I couldnt converse with him at all, the talking was all done by my fren.... : (

So thinking back of accupuncture now , what should I go n say?
 
This acupuncturist is fr China. Specialise in helping IVF ladies and know all abt the IVF process. Call to make appt at 64560833.
Blk 505 AMK Ave 8 #01-2670. Just say when u r staring IVF and whether u want to take the herbs. Herbs are in powder form, jus mix with warm water and drink. Accupuncture 25 mins front, 25 minutes back $25 per session. herbs abt $40 for 5 days.
 
hi miracle baby, i was at kkh today at 730am, did the BT & scan within half hour but did not receive their call by noon...I waited till 430pm before I called them. I got them and my results are fine so will be starting puregon tomorrow, will be going back for scan on 7 Aug. Pray that everything will go as plan...

Ya went for my BT/scan tis morning and they called me at 4pm. Saying results are good and they want me to start puregon on 6 Aug. So will be going down to collect ...

How abt you?
 
hi maggie mee, i got my puregon after the BT & scan, I did not wait for the results...cos i was thinking i will still need to start the puregon sooner or later, so might as well buy sooner so that i don't have to make another trip down to kk.

Seems I am the last person to start late.I start on Aug 7. Surprised! why like that? Must we find out from Dr? That's why I post quickly to find out from you all.
Or any ladies outside experiencing the different dates for puregon.
I see I am not only the one. Everyone of you received the late call. Thought they totally forget me, leaving me behind. haha
 
Well im not sure as well...

Suppose i hv to continue my lucrin jab from now till 6 Aug the day i start puregon...

not sure if the lucrin is sufficient till then.. hmm... so confusing...

My spots was on 15dpt then i go pvt gynae and he gave me duphaston to stop the bleeding coz by then i already had painful cramps and after confirming with Dr Loh then i take the duphaston. Thats why now the nurse said my AF shld come in a few days time. I made appt with Dr Loh next friday at pvt suite.

Btw, i need advise, my DH was suggesting i try pvt hospital, anyone here had ever transfer the leftover embryos to pvt hospital? What are the cost like in pvt hospital? Pls advise.
 
miracle... so u same as me... start almost a wk later loh.... i still tot everyone shd start immed aft our BT/scan once result is ok...

Hmm... now juz see if my lucrin is enough to last till then loh....

Maybe our results determine the day we start puregon..
 
hi maggie_mee and miracle baby, i think i know why we start at different dates.....i suspect it's because i am not under Dr Loh, I am under Dr Marianne Hendricks....

I am not sure if I really forget but the nurse say the lucrin will last one month from the day we start Lurcin.
Ladies, help us out about the Lucrin.
Hope the Lucrin will last till 14th Aug which is my scanning.

Worried. I forget to ask the nurse about Lucrin. Knock my head :p
 
Err.... may.... me also under Marianne! I hope its not due to the doctor! should be based on individual BT/scan results!!!

Any ladies past stage 2 advise us??confused...
 
From what i see at the detail sheet they gave, First will be self injection of Lucrin, ultrasound and bloodtest,. this stage how long does it takes?

i did asked the nurse today... whether lucrin we have will be enough.... she just say yeah yeah enough enough.... hehe.... so wat can i say....

juz continue and see how it goes...

Think it is ok for you. Yours is the same as Fatbabe. But she is under Dr Loh. I am also under Dr Loh but I start 8 days later. One week is much difference. Will it affect anything in HPT??

I even questioned the nurse.. Sure I start on 7th Aug, not tomorrow.She said Yes as the Dr instructed. hmm hmm.. Shall I follow or write an email to Dr Loh? I am afraid he will think I didn't trust him should I ask him in an email. Doomed whether to write or not.. how how??

I guess this week juz guai guai jab lucrin....bit of mixed feeling starting puregon.. cuz heard of all the side effects...

no they didn't tell me but I saw my results written on my file. So I don't ask them ha

oh don't be scared about puregon. Be brave and fight for your dream - to hold the baby in your arms. don't think too much. Keep your mind calm for your well-being.

I think it is ok to start few days after the BT with Lucrin. I think now KKH is scheduling the timing for ER to avoid crash due to tight manpower.

My scan & BT is scheduled at D19 which I have checked with Dr if it is ok. Then the doc advised due to reason above.

I tot i still have a week's break b4 starting puregon... no matter what... still have to go thru loh..... gathering up my courage!

May....

Let us know how u feel loh after starting puregon.. hope u dun feel too much discomfort...

maggie & miracle baby, thanks, praying hard too but i am scared, so scared, for me, everything came earlier than i had expected, it's also good in the sense, I can join my hubby (who is stationed overseas) sooner....

ok thanks for clearing out our doubts.
I think that reason is out of sense to set our different dates of starting puregon.But only one thing is that I really hope it never affect our whole IVF process,especially HPT.
So I guess the only way to pray for God to bless us in our journey.

you have one more week to relax before time to get "paranoid" for puregon use for only 7 days.lol
Seize more more time to relax first though still using Lucrin.

I will do the same too but one extra day for me after you. haha
