hi aris... its a kind of hormone jab. twice a week for the next 2 weeks. to support the pregnancy. my BT was done 13 days post the transfer. not sure why the difference with KKH

hi babydream... i guess by 17 days the result would be more affirmative with higher levels of HCG detected

yes, i continue with accu and herbs during lucrin and puregon stage. Was very consistent at twice a week, hubby as well. Will you continue for lucrin stage?

beside dr zou (she only does the lady part right?), anyone can recommend doc who can do both wife & hubby one???

If there's no doc who can do both, anyone can suggest any doc that's in the north area (for hubby)?? I know there's one in Clementi, tht's alittle far out..

i also think it's time to tell ur boss about the treatment u are receiving already.... it's not advisable to travel during 2ww or after that if u bfp... so better to let him know wat u are going thru... i know it's not an easy decision to make... i also had to adjust myself to prioritise that now ivf is more important than career...

my heart really goes out to u.... it's ok to cry.. i think u'll feel better... i know at this time is not easy to concentrate on the pregnancy... just talk to ur embies and tell them wat's going to happen and ask them to stay strong...

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt and above...More HCG is produced as fetus develops

to tell u the truth... when i had my 2nd ohss attack, i kept asking myself wat the hell did i get myself into... nowhere were my thots on my bfp... tell urself if u can go thru this u can go thru anything liao... jia you ok... *hugz*

Same as Eskimobaby, i also went thru' OHSS... when i know BFP, i also have no thots of excitement bahz.. cos really xin gu that time.. remember that u told me that it is all worthwhile.. We are in pain that time too.. even till now, we have yet to enjoy the pregnancy after the big trauma.. U know my OHSS is really bad and Dr Loh insist not tapping out and want me to endure.. i cried aloud in hospital and at home.. countless of drip plugs on veins.. But dear, i am at my 2nd trimester now ! When looking back , that's still the hardest time in life... God is juz training us to be a stronger mum.. Dun be scare and just follow the flow.. trust me, after tap out .. u will get alot better okie..

Hi Ladies,
with be embarking my 3rd and final IVF journey again this Sept. Have change my Doc to Prof Wong from NUH. He did a more detail check and found my block tube swells. He advised me to get rid of the block tube but i'm not willing to go thru another ops. He said it may or may not be the cause of the failed IVF. Anyway, I'm not putting much hope on this IVF but at least i tried.

Half day should be sufficient. Scan and BT will take about 1 hour depending on queue. Actually, if you can get hold of one of the doctor, U can try to request for MC. In private hospital, it is easy to get MC (even for hubby) but KK don't issue unless you request (catch a doctor).

Try not to be stress by work...must focus on BB. It is more important (I alway tell myself that BB project is no. 1 prioity). Good luck for your ER and ET...BFP BFP!!

I will be starting only in Sep/Oct. Likely in Oct. For my previous try, I had my BT and scan on a Tuesday and results was Ok and start my stage 2 on Friday. If you had your tests in the morning, KK will call U in the afternoon with the results and let U know whether can proceed.

i have decided to stop ivf and put my faith in the Lord and Mother Mary. I have been praying and has concluded that as a catholic, it is really wrong to do IVF so have decided after this 2 failed cycle, we will simply try naturally. If it does not work, then maybe consider adoption.

Today I went for scan and blood test at 8am left the hospital by 9.30am. Nurse called me at 3pm to ask me go down and collect Puregon tomorrow. So when your turn, half day leave should suffice, but be prepared to take time off the next day to collect Puregon.
 
hi ladies, may i ask from your experience how you apply for 2 weeks absence from your boss? i dun intend to tell office i going ivf but how to explain absence? do you tell your boss in advance ?

hi ladies,

i'm back. Just drain off abt 500ml of fluid. feeling better. Now, i have a tube attached to my tummy, like a tap. They will open the tap before each meal 3 times a day to drain abt 1.5l per day. I should say that I can never imagine myself going thru this tapping procedure again.

I'm really touch by your kind words and encouragement. If it's not for u ladies, i would not have gone thru this. thanks.

I collected my Puregon today and i am back home. You collecting urs tomorrow rt? The nurse told me that i have to go down again on Thu for a scan. From the scan on thu then will be able to tell if can do ER. She said earliest for ER is on next sat.

I think it depends on how comfortable you are telling your direct boss.
In my case, I actually tell my boss in advance that I am going for IVF. But I did tell her that I don't intend to let HR or others know yet, and she respects that.

think it was a difficult decision right.. so juz follow yr heart, who knows what will happen! Juz hv to relax and forget the whole thing abt TTC.. give yrself a 'holiday'! Think abt what's the best things w/o a kid! Go for a show! Take a weekday off and go for a high-tea w/DH or go for a short trip!!!

Well, if your boss is that kind who mind people having IVF, you can tell him nearer to date that you have cyst and it burst so you require operations. Cyst normally have 2 weeks HL hehe...if he does not mind then you should tell him the truth. Rather you not take the risk on the baby. Decision is still yours. Well I lost my job cause of ivf during my second cycle, now I finally found a job after 5 months as a blessing from God

thanks for sharing. My boss is male and i dun seems to feel comfortable telling about ivf. furthermore i am a contract staff. Quite vex over this. Good thing is i have 10 days of annual leave. Worst is to consume it for ivf

After your BT and scan on D14(seems yesterday,right),you are asked to collect and start Puregon the very next day? Then one week later is too short for scanning? If pass, then give you the ER date (next sat). Once again, 2 days apart only. too fast. I doubt... Really,is it?

I am still at Stage 1 and lazy to follow the list. hehe.

As I see you encourage more protein, then HL milk can replace Ensure or Aumun milk instead?

Yeah, a bit difficult with male bosses, they don't really understand as much. Else, like Humbug suggested, tell him is a cyst removal operation, if you are not comfortable.
