I did ask Dr Loh abt ICSI, if it is to be performed on mine then. He said that that procedure can only be determined once the eggs and sperm are extracted during ER. Anyway, I've seen the nurses classified my case as ICSI in my records. So when the day Dr Loh did the ET, I asked him on which procedure was performed, he confirmed ICSI since DH morphology was very low, insufficient to let the eggs go thru IVF naturally since it could be time consuming and results undetermined.

Regarding your question "Do you mean after the ET, if it is spotting after the first 3 days of transfer, it mean implantation", personally I am not sure, maybe other sisters can help u on this. For my case, I have spotting right after the FET procedure which I guess maybe I was too tense down there. However, I have spotting again after 4days of the ET and bleeding subsequently,was wondering is there any other things that can be done (eg. injection) besides continuing the inserts and bedrest and wait for blood test.

I asked Dr PC Wong regarding Pre-implantation Generic Diagnosis (PGD) and pre-implantation Gerenic Screening (PGS)..
PGD is a recently developed technique that is being used to test early embryos for various genetic and chromosomal disorders prior to their transfer. In this way, many serious disorders affectig babies can be ruled out before pregnancy.
within PGD there is PGS,which is:

Did you transfer immediately after thawing, meaning transferred day 3 embryos? What were their grades and how many cells? I want to know how embryos behave after thawing. I have 5 frozen, grade 3. I wonder after thawing will they grow well.
Are you on pregnyl jab or inserts? Any choice which to choose? I heard taking low dose aspirin might help blood flow to uterus and implantation. Did you ask from dr Loh?

welcome to the thread. I will be doing FET wz Dr Loh too, will be ET tomorrow, then will join you at 2WW. But that is also provided that eggs will thaw well. How many embroyos did you put in? maybe too early to see any symptoms.

Yes, I would think so. They told me that the thawing will happen the night before, and the transfer was at 8am on Wed morning. I had 38 follicles extracted during ER back in Jul. Out of 38 follicles, 20 were fertilized and put in 3 during the fresh cycle. This time round, I also chose to put in 3. Therefore, left 14 frozen. That time during the fresh cycle ET, I was told i have 17 grade 4, and 3 grade 3. But during the FET, they told me the grade were 3. So that means the grade will change after thawing. Of the 3 that were transferred, 2 with 4 cells, and 1 with 6 cells.
I am on inserts and also taking low dose of aspirin since day 2 mensus.

i have the problem of not knowing if need to hand over my work and inform boss as kk can only tell on the transfer date if embroyo thaw well. If only they can advise at least a day beforehand.

But if i am you, i will go ahead to handover too becos i know, if next morning, they tell me embryos didnt make it, i think i will rather go home and cry than go to work. Haha.

I went to acupuncture yesterday and today...
this morning.. i realized that I have a blue black on the side of my shin... today.. the other leg's shin hurts and is swelling....
I dont think this is right.....
but my ER is tomorrow and ET in few days ahead... kind of feel like not continuing the acupuncture....sigh... what shall I do...

I also have blue black bruise sometimes. Its due to the needle sometimes hitting blood vessels lightly, like how when we do jabs. Its normal.
But probably the current abit strong. You can ask your acupuncturist lower the frequency to just a light ticking sensation with out pain. Then it will help.
Its best to acupuncture once more before ET, improve blood circulation and help destress for ET. Maybe you can bear with just 1 more session?

i have another 4 days more to go before i need to go to clinic to do a preg test. So close to yours... very kan jiong now.
Btw, what is a beta test? I was not told about this.. is this the same as a preg test? Right now, are u feeling any symptoms? i don't really feel much and m quite worried...

im very disappointed..was suppose to do ET yest..but was admitted to hsp..due to ohss. am now in hsp..am on drip since yest. out of 42 eggs..only 18 fertilised. i asked for the grade, dr say good..aiyah..so now she have frozen 12 eggs n put 6 to blastocyst..hoping tomrw i can do the transfer. but looking at my bloatedness..n the hse doc just came in to assess me...hmmm..maybe can't even do tmrw.
my dream was so close..but now it seems to be getting farther...
FYI..ohss is due to dehydration. and drinking lotsa water will not reduce the bloatedness jus to hydrate the body. i feel that when embarking on this journey, the awareness og OHSS to patients are not made clearly instead was just given sum paper to just explain briefly. and in one of the doc it says drink at least 2litres of water to reduce bloatedness..MAJOR ERROR!!. i asked the doc earlier and he said its not true!!!..so rightnow im really really confused n mad..
anyone have any idea??

sorry to hear abt the suffering u going thru now. i'm surprised to hear that taking water is not helpful for OHSS. But we r told to do so by clinic. Furthermore, my urine colour did became clearer after taking lots of water.
i guess u r right that we should be given more info on OHSS since it is so common. Meanwhile, you have a good rest and prepare for ur ET.
You will be fine after some rest. All the best to your ET, embyros will stick to u!

do u have crampy feelings (occasionally) in lower abdomen the past days? how about feeling thirsty all the time?? well... those were what i'd felt, i'd not seen any implantation bleeding as some gals experienced.
no need to be overly concerned abt whether there're symptoms cos there're many who hit the jackpot w/o & had them only weeks later.

Lina said it right. when u feel ready to embark FET, call up KKH on the 1st day of your next mense. you'll be advised to purchase medic for taking from your 4th day mense. the rest the nurse will advise. no need worry too much...

happy - i'm going for my ET tomoro. yesterday out of 13 eggs, 10 fertilised, out of which 3 good and 7 satisfactory. but sadly, today still only 3 good, 5 satisfacory, and the 2 went bananas. ET is tomoro and I hope the embies can go strong and healthy. how did your ET go ? what was the procedure like for you ? the nurse is supposed to call me back later with more details on preparation. a bit scared, and nervous, and disappointed abt the 2 that went bananas
hopefaith - dont be discouraged. there's always a silver lining. at lease you have 18 fertilised ones. thats a good probability. yar i agree they should have told us more about OHSS thing before the ER and the whole IVF thing. not much emphasis, i thought it only happen to minority. actually OHSS is very serious thing and they should have asked us to take ALL precautions.

Ladies - had this qns to ask u all - mine AF came last evening around 6plus put to date only light brown spotting - it's not consider my 1st day of AF right?
Is it also true that when AF came after 12pm then the next day would only be considered as day 1?

cause my gynae told me gotta wait 3 months if OHSS ...

Good that u r ET tomorrow. U must ask doc what to do clear the OHSS after ET.
My ET was like IUI, the main diff is that they'll show u the embryos on the screen before they transfer. I had 11 eggs but after cleaning and fertilising left 7. At first i only want to put 2 but doc say put 3 n freeze 4. Partly also bec of my age, so since hubby also agree. Doc transfer 2 eight cells n 1 four cells darling. The process was very fast, only 10 min. Than i rested for 1 n half hr before getting up to do blood test.
I was told to take breakfast n go toilet before i leave hse. After tat have to drink 1mug of water. Aftertat, have to hold bladder till 2hrs later. So dont drink so much until u have to go loo immediately after ET. Best tat u can rest n relax on d bed before leaving the room.
