hi yaya,
i think because you've done the counselling with the nurse, which cost $89.50 is already done and will have to be paid for.. i'm not sure about the remainder amt of the payment, perhaps you met with the ivf specialists also? that for me cost $82.40, price for consultation with doctor.
i also had my blood's and hubby's taken for the various blood test to be done on it, like HIV, Hep B, Syphillis and Rubella tests. coz according to them, this has to be done first.. if you are not immune to Rubella especially, you need to get the injection and can only start IVF three months after the injection.. this whole blood test thing cost $122.50..
the upcoming appointment, when we schedule counselling with the medical service officer and the signing of consent form will cost me $203.00.. so i am mentally prepared for the total cost just registering for the program.
the nurse has given me this piece of paper of the breakdown on the amount to be paid for the respective parts of the program. they can't start you now, like me too because from Day 1 to Day 21 of my last AF, we didn't practice safe sex. so better not start immediately. but for whatever that you've done so far at kkivf, i think they will charge you still..
hope i wasn't being too long-winded.. hehe.. just thot i'd share with you the info.. and perhaps, we'd start the cycle together.. heh.. good luck!

to all mummies n mummies-to-be, happy mothers' day! will pray for all of u that God bless u with the desires of your hearts and you shall receive your bundles of joy soon soon.. = )
i also wanna salute all of u who have gone thru the ivf process. Being in the midst of treatment, i realise how tough it is. not only do we have to go through the physical pain, esp needles after needles for wks but also the mental and emotional struggles.
all of u are really brave ladies! let's persevere on together to reach our goals! = )

dear all,
finally started my puregon injection yesterday! now looking forward to my er & et!
just realised why i have to inject lucrin for 24 days before i start puregon. when i checked with nurse, she actually said that my scan n blood tests were ok. (actually called to find out abt the results but nurse did not get back to me. n when i tried calling again, still cld not get them. so decided to find out yest) The reason why they prolong is because their schedule is full. don quite understand whta schedule is full but was initally quite angry. but after calming down, am still thankful cos i can then have my 2ww coincide with the sch hols. hope it's a blessing in disguise.
for ladies who are doing ivf in kkh, do check with the nurses if they ever extend your injections without telling u why. gonna ask them abt the 1st scan results after lucrin injections, if not they will mention it.

nope.. the bloat has eased.. no symptoms at the moment.. still just resting.. i am quite anxious now, have to wait for fri to do blood test. I am hoping for the best..
Drink some water if you feel the bloat. However, don't drink too quickly.. take small sips of it.. take care.

Hi Merlenna,both me and HB had did our blood test last week. Will the nurse contact us on the result or we need to call them up to check on the status? Once i signed up for the IVF program, i can't wait for my menses to come ... this feeling is totally different from the past.. probably too anxious and eager to have baby of our own.

my 1st ivf was june last year.. rested abt 7 mths be4 i started on the 2nd one.
Didn't do accup but make slight changes to my diet: ate more multigrain products; avoided soya products, cold drinks, fried food; also ate royal jelly which i bought from taiwan last dec...
I only took 4 days' leave after my ET on my 2nd ivf but took 2 weeks' leave on my 1st. In my opinion, it doesn't matter whether you take a few days or 2 weeks. According to my doc, he told me that i can cont to work but not to the extent of overworking my body. That way, i wouldnt think too much abt the outcome

She explained to me that she will give me 2 type of medicine, brew type during menses and powder type after menses. I forgot to ask her what are the contents of powder type and what are the difference in medicine(powder type) given before ovulation and after ovulation. I only asked her when how can i see and when will i be able to see the result or difference after taking medicine and accu. - she says 3 months and i will know the difference myself.

hm..dr zou usually dun give 14 days of med. Can u check the white plastic bag that comes with it, is it written 2 packets per dosage or 1 ? Sometimes as the dosage is more and the machine cant pack them in big packs, we need to pour 2 packets for one dosage so 4 packets a day.

Bad news for me. My AF arrived. When down to kk today, one day earlier cos' it doesn't make any difference now. Sad, but life still have to go on. As one of our sister here ever say. 'Life just went back to normal, so there is nothing to change.'

Morning All....
Im going to start IVF on Wed. Will be going down to buy the medications and start injecting.... Im so nervous.. Feeling realy stressed out... Im so scared it wont work!

Jan, did they do the bloodtest for u?? Sometimes it can be implantation bleeding... Big hugs....

Hi Marlenna, I have done the injections b4. for my PIO(something like SO-IUI, without the IUI). Its oks. just if u poke the wrong place than painful alittle.. When u starting urs?

I'm still waiting for this month's AF to come which will be sometime this week. then countdown to 21 days. so perhaps the 1st week of June i'll start the lucrin jabs. hehe.. oh since you've done injections before, should be familiar with it now ah.. i hope i won't get paranoid about them..

Merlenna, dont worry, u will be fine... U can ask ur HB to help u inject. For me I rather inject on my own. Poor HB always ask me if he can inject. Told him NO.. I scared I will move when he inject n the needle break. hehehe.... U will get use to it plus its worth the pain.

The injection should be ok.. If you have low threshold for pain, you can rub the area to be injected with ice first.. my hb injected for me all the time.. i realised that if you breathe in just before the injection, also will relieve the pain.. my hb is quite good as he is a certified first aider, so i only had one bruise.. most importantly, try not to move while you are being injected.. take care.

Nurse didn't ask me to cont. folic acid. Even if she were to tell me to cont. I will still stop.
Didn't have much clots for first 2 days, no pain either, except heavy flow. Don't know when will end, cos today is CD9, still have spotting, don't know when will end. sigh......

my threshhold of pain is ok. i think i will be able to handle it. but then again, jab in the past is once in the blue moon.. this one everyday..haha.. dunno how high the level of threshold after that..

So Merlenna, which hospital are you doing the ivf? it's nice to find someone starting about the same time as me. Just hope i won't get too tired or bloated with all the jabs.
