What a dramatic day man. And I triggered lovetohavekids and going circles on their flashback haha. Really traumatising ladies but in the end all worth it hor. Thanks for sharing ladies.

Btw am back from all the running around...3 hospitals. ..like siow. But was worth it as hcg showed positive. My progesterone somehow dropped from last reading. Maybe tats y spot. Lucky got proluton today.

It won't stop a miscarriage due to other reasons but it will stop a threatening miscarriage because of p4 deficiency. Hope it helps! Fingers crossed anf praying hard hard hard.

Stay positive! All will be well and good!

My 1st episode is going to toilet in the middle of the night. Then I felt a gash of liquid coming out. To my horror my whole toilet bowl was filled with blood (sorry tmi). Wake my hub up and he rushed my to KKH o&g. Pad was almost soaked when I reached there. Was given japs to strengthen baby's lungs and was told I might need a emergency c-section if my bleeding did not stop. Thank god it stopped within an hour and was hospitalized for a week. 2 weeks later, same thing happened. Again was hospitalized for 1 week. Then another 2 weeks, it happened yet again. From then, my gynea and hub ask me to bed rest in hospital till I deliver. I stayed in hospital for 2.5 months plus. In between my stay got a few bleeding episodes and my last bleeding is the night before my c-sect. My whole 3rd trimester is so tramatized & stressful. But everything is worth it seeing the little one born safely & heathy.

Did u have to eat pills every 15 mins to stop contraction? Apparently when I reached the hospital and got strapped to check on contractions, I was having super high contractions and I didn't know lol! When they asked if i feel pain I said no cos really felt nothing.
So conclusion is my pain threshold was quite high which makes my gynae quite worried cos he said I might not know I was in labour. Which I didn't know also cos when I was in labour, I had brown spottings and discharge the night before but I thought it was just the placenta prévia blood drying out (cos had one episode the week before). Turns out next day I had high fever and I can't feel any kicks so I called the ambulance. Apparently the brown discharge I got the night before is my mucus plug and my fever was cos my water bag was already infected for a few hours already and triggered the fever and had to go for emergency csect. Thank God baby was fine although they need to keep him in nicu for 2 weeks to make sure he doesn't get any infection from my bacterial infected waterbag. But yah it's true, all those dramas for those 3 months is nothing after looking at that baby. Priceless even. :)

Don't bother to go to KKH. They won't do anything at all. I had spotting and went there twice.

First visit the doc said no need bed rest or medication. Just go home and observe. That cost me $131!

Then second visit 3 days later cos heavier spotting. Doc did urine test and showed I got UTI. Did a swap test to see if got infection. She reluctantly up my duphaston dosage to 3 times a day. That visit costs me $280! No jab or HL. The doc even said if the bleeding is not very heavy and cramps is not v bad then nothing to think of. The doc even said there is nothing they can do if it's a miscarriage!!!

I went to see Dr. Loh the following wk. he scanned and gave me a jab and HL. It only costs me $171.

See a private. Don't bother to go to KKH 24 hour clinic. To them, unless you have heavy red bleeding accompanied by bad cramps, they won't do anything about it...

Ladies the KKH 24hr clinic is not an A&E unit. So they are crappy. They very much dont do much and act like gp. If acute case, they refer u to the wards for bed and further doctor consultation.

How about NUH AE? Do they help scan, bt and hl?

That's good news! Now just rest well and don't think about it pls!!! Positive vibes!!

I very much prefer NUH A&E! They act very fast which I like. And I even bring my son there when he have fever when he's a baby cos NUH too have a designated children's A&E. No need to wait so long like what most mothers complaint to me about KKH. Within an hour and we are done.
In regards to Ivf/pregnancy related issues, my Chr clinic did say if there's anything wrong with me they ask me to straight away go to NUH A&E and they will do the test and scans for me and will contact CHR cos CHR have a 24 hour hotline that we can call. Actually their 24hr hotline will be picked up by one of the CHR nurses. So they will always be there for the patients. I'm not sure about other hospitals though.

Sorry babe whats chr? And have u been to NUH AE for pregnancy related? Hows the treatment like?

CHR is the clinic for human reproduction. Yup I've been to NUH A&E during pregnancy for 4 times via ambulance. They act very fast and immediately when they know it's pregnancy related I was wheeled to the labour ward and all checks are being done there. They quickly strap me to check on the baby heartbeat and my contractions. My gynae came to meet me quite fast also.

Wow that's v good. Good hospital to consider for pregnancy.

P4 stands for hormone progesterone it's is needed to support pregnancy. Am not sure of the full details but I know in ivf we are given progesterone in the form if suppositories crinone or proluton. Think for natural pregnancy the body auto produce.

Wow what an episode you had! Thank god everything's turned out well!

Yes yes I took the pills to stop contractions but not every 15 mins lah. I did not feel any pain for my contractions and was shocked that they are quite high too. But the pills can only eat till week 36 then cannot take anymore. I endured 3 days more before I gave birth.

Fortunately my baby no need to go nicu nor special care. Just stay in normal nursery but stay one more day due to high jaundice.

Glad you found solution to it. This journey is certainly not easy. From the process of ivf treatment, fearing not having enough eggs, fearing egg quality not good, fearing eggs not able to fertilize, fearing lining thickness, implantation issues to tww, fearing not getting the 2 lines. If bfn, cry out loud, finding ways to improve & tiao your body and get ready for the next cycle or move on. If bfp, then fearing of spotting, threaten miscarriage, able to spot sac & hear heartbeat, and ways to sustain the pregnancy till live birth. Never ending worries. But for the sake of having our previous little ones & experiencing motherhood, WE certainly willing to go through the hardships & sacrifices to have our dreams fulfilled. Jia you to all awesome ladies here & keep fighting & be positive!

Sounds awesome. But we did ivf at kkh, they will still help us if we go nuh AE right? KKH no AE la. Raffles too far for me.

A&E is for everyone no matter which doc or hospital you are from so they will definitely help anyone in need no matter where we initially seek treatment from. :) I've actually asked some friends to head there instead of going so far to KKH and then wait for so long there.

Ladies anyone got dr sf loh' s email. Does he read and respond. Between intralipid cm be done only by him or dr marianne also does?? Does any dr in nuh do intralipid??

Intralipid is both administered by Dr Loh and Dr Marienne. But before the first dose needs a consultation with Dr Loh I think. I don't think Nuh offers intralipid cos Prof does not believe in it (I remember reading somewhere but I am not sure)
I had mine done at Dr Loh (4 doses altogether) about 2 weeks apart for each dose.
His email address is:
[email protected]
Usually his nurses will reply. But just make an appointment and see him asap and tell them u have spotting post bfp. They may be slow in responding to u so I will reckon it's better if u call. After the first consult, he can administer for u already. And subsequently u don't need to see him for it although depending on the time u go for the infusion, either him or Dr Marienne will be the one administering the plug.
All the best.

Congrats Mesara! So happy to hear u bfp!

Ladies, I had my er on last wed at kkivf. Ytdy I discovered a greenish clump plus little bit of blood from my discharge (Sorry for tmi). I'm worried this is infection. I hv yellow greenish discharge before prior ttc. Tmr is my ET. What should I do now? Tot of calling kk just now but today is Sunday...

Today is 10dp3dt. And I started to spot brown and pink when wipe. Will go kk O&G now to see what they say. I had proluton on thu...so it's only 2 days wonder if they will jab again.

I tested since 6dp3dt and started seeing 2 lines in hpt. It grew darker over the days and even clear blue showed 1 to 2 weeks pregnant 2 days ago. V sad at the turn of events but nothing is in my hands now. The firm n sore boobs seems to subside today. Over night change. Anyway what's meant to be is meant to be. Leaving things with God to answer my prayers.

Babe is there any pain that came with the spotting?

I urge you go to kkh or any a&e to check if it's infection and let the give you medication. Early treatment saves embbies life. That's my opinion gal

Nope...the twinges in tummy and left n right ovary sometimes come and go. I wud freak out if spot is accompanied with cramp. That's the witch af doing. But supposed af is 15 jun so am not sure what the outcome is gonna be gal. Since I only have one hcg reading can't compare its rising or not. I hoped that since got bfp can do a intralipid so that body does not reject fetus. So sad dr loh refused to see me yest saying too early. The ideal wud have been if he did hcg and did intralipid and proluton. But the nurse check wif him n he said Wait for kkh bt then can intralipid. U know here u r trying level best to save yr precious and challenging pregnancy and you can't find enough support out there. After going thru 2 mc obviously my state of mind for this pregnancy is hyper. Haiz. Praying for best.

Yup pray for the best! What supports are u on now? It's considered what week now? What's your hcg level?

Babe i miscarried twice. Both conceived naturally. One was pprom at 17weeks. My baby had a strong heart beat but couldnt breathe on her own at birth cos of undeveloped lungs. A year later, another miscarriage at 7weeks. How early should i get progesterone help?
Think progesterone must get frm tww for best support. Between alot of sisters have mentioned that their babies have strong lungs due to the an tai meds they take frm tsb. She is a tcm in chinatown. You may want to try that. Also you may want to start vit d before u embark on cycles as that also prevent mc. Just sharing my experience.

I went to Thomson already. Sad that the doc say better to go back kkh to consult my ivf doc... feel my trip totally wasted and paid $62 for a less than 5 mins consultation.
Omg I am v sorry to hear this gal. When I had high fever ñ uti during stim stage I went to tmc and they were v prompt to handle. Also tat time had bleeding also they gave proluton. So am not sure why this time they turn away.
