Haven't been in this thread for a while. Happy to see Gan and Hazel trying for another new member. Hope to see good news from you.

Hazel, don't worry, if it sticks, not so easy to fall off. Just stay calm since u trying for another baby.

Gan, I've the same thinking as u. I very sure I don't want multiples when I'm trying for my #1, so every transfer just put 1, it's what I'm comfortable with.
 


Thanks loveg & Iwantahealthybaby. I have not bought a proper hpt yet oops. Only have those online cheapo ones which I duno whether is accurate or not. Will progesterone cause spotting? If so, why wait till now then spot?

Iwantahealthybaby, be more optimistic!! Maybe u also wana test hpt tmr?
 
Mbbhopeful, cheap online hpt works just as well for most people. I also use those, but I always test the day after af is suppose to come. If af comes then no need test, if preg, the double line is very obvious.

Iwanthealthybaby, as long as don't see af means have hope.

Rrxy, I am with dr LC Cheng since 2010 and I conceived my boy who is turning 3 soon. Planning for FET this year as I am bugged thyroid issues .. :(. Ron is also withdr Cheng.

Iwantahealthybaby: My progesterone level is 13.5. Normal shld be under 5. Its b4 ER. Progesterone shld not be so high b4 ovulation. How high was yours??

Your thyroid under control ? I had the same problem during my cycle, just need to manage it, no issue to pregnancy. Now my thyroid went back to normal, no medication for few years already.
 
Bubbybear, Yes my thyroid T4 was already under control but my TSH n traB still screwed but my traB readings are improving .. My menses quantity has improved .. U had hyperthyroid previously too ?

bubbybear, did ur AF went haywire previously when u had thyriod ? u waited till ur TSH regulated before u started IVF ?

Just called SGH requesting for my report, keep telling me to call medical centre for full report and need to pay unless I only want a summary report but need to talk to doc in my next appt blah blah blah blah.... Until my hub asked me to tell them we going to seek a 2nd opinion! Then the nurse give me an earlier appt, guess what? It's this afternoon. In the first place why need 3 weeks later?

Hi Daylesford,
I was previously with LC Cheng too when he was still with TFC.
So is he still providing ivf service? and where? price wise any idea?
Thinking to go back to him to do a fresh cycle.

tavismummy, i think our uom is different if same mine and yours is one end apart. mine was 281 nmol/L 6days after transfer. thats my only progesterone readings i have for my whole fet cycle. so i dont know to begin with is how much. whatever the level is i just pray for a good sticky one to make my wish come true.

yes ... he is still seeing ivf patients at his WC Cheng Associates clinic at tmc. we can opt to the lab we want to go now. he still does ER / ET at TFC, Mt E & CARE.
can you please drop me a PM, I will send u his personal nurse contact and u can ring her up to get an appointment.

charges wise I may not be as updated as Ron. I did mine in 2010 and costs me about 17k (fresh cycle and FET )

u are currently with another center ?

JaniceS: good that your hubby got the appmt. I think u all definitely deserve an explanation. We are all humans, doctors and patients but not seeing and hearing from the doctor as a private patient even in a restructured hosp is not on-la. 3 weeks is too long. Hope you get some answers.

Hazel: aiyoh.. hope today is better. Dun let MIL affect you. Did you test again today?

Iwantahealthybaby: hang in there. Did you know sudden change in emotions (suddenly v emotional, etc) is also a pregnancy sign?

rrxy: me! Currently cycling w him for my FET. My girl was with dr cheng from my last fresh. Now embbies are transferred to Care Novena coz previously at MtE. Charges about the same. Not cheaper As daylesford mentioned, you can see him at WCCA. Either daylesford or I can PM you his nurse's mobile and you can sms/WA her so that she can fit u in on your d2. She keeps some slots for ivf patients due to the timing of cycles.

To sisters having BT this week, Jia you and hoping to catch all the baby dusts with a big bag!!
 
Janices i tend to drill to the bits cos i feel we deserve to know what really happened. If me, i will ask:

-how were the follicle sizes at ER, how fast/slow were they growing prior to that.
(cos if the follicles were growing well like 1-2 mm a day and were of about at least 16 to 18 mm at ER, its quite impossible no eggs)

- and why no eggs, was it all too small and immature or totally empty follicles.
(too small and immature is a total different scenario from empty follicles. If all too small and immature then its likely poor management during eggs recruitment and stimulating stage. Then you can bring this info to your next doc who can learn from it to do better)

- ask for AMH test especially if she say empty follicles.
(this blood test can do anytime even today. At least it shows your eggs reserve whether really low that follicles are empty. Likewise AMH is a good indicator to let your next doc know so the he/she may tailor your next ivf accordingly, maybe even can add Saizen etc ... )

I woukd ask (in a v even manner):

1. What are the possible causes that previously had eggs and none now.
2. Is there anyway to make sure next cycle wont hv same issue? Ie tests so that you wont waste a cycle doing another fresh and then get to eR with same response.
3. Has she had any patients like taht and anything she did to help improve for nxt cycle so that she can help u?
4. If this cycle empty does it mean all future cycles also empty?
5. Since u didnt hv any of the scan info during cycling, ask away
How was follicular growth at eaxh scan. Were they too small?
6. When they said none. Do they mwan all too small or all empty? Or what?

....
 
I have a friend whose eggs were growing very slowly and the doc reacted to change dosage etc in the end she still manage to have alittle eggs and now almost going to give birth. Another friend had very few follicles and doc coverted her cycle to IUI. So there can always be intervention up to ER. So if your next cycle can definitely see better results if closer monitoring.
 
Wow! Thanks for all the questions! I only know first scan told me I'm responding well, the Chinese lady who scanned even showed me my scan but 2nd which is my last scan the Indian lady refused to show me anything. Asked the nurse n only told me 2 ready n 2 catching up n the rest which I saw Abt 4-5 were slow.
 
Janices, i am sure ron and sunflower here has given you some questions to ask your doc. hopefully you can get a satisfactory ans from them during your review.

ron thanks for your comforting words, i think for my case, my emotional changes not a lot. i think quick tempered is the word lolx. getting abit pissed off lately. but this seems to be the pms symptons and maybe the stress in my mind of not getting successful this time. but holding on, praying and wishing a BFP on my BT, there is hope so long af dont come. i fear going toilet now, fear to meet "her''

I am not with any centre currently. Previously did one fresh with TFC (L C Cheng) in 2008, suceeded and gave birth to twins in 2009. One FET in 2011, used up all embies, failed. Thinking to go for a fresh cycle. didnt know that the price went up so much. i remember i paid only about 11k-6k medisave = 5k cash during my first fresh and about 2k for the FET.
 
Done with doc, got my reports. She said because my eggs reserve is few so sometimes it's possible to get no egg. Said my hormones everything ok. Sometimes this batch of eggs quality no good. Every 2 months will get new batch of eggs so each batch is different.

1) Do i call up when i have my D1 menses or should i call up earlier?
2) consultation and injection where? WCCA?
3) where will the ER/ET be carrried out? at the choice of our prefered ?
4) he do short or long protocol?

Sorry for the many questions. It has been too long.
 
Hello sisters! Good luck to those in 2ww....sigh i thought i can proceed with my ivf this cycle but dr said that i have low reserve eggs (Janice ,maybe similar to yours? ) so he asked me to buy supplement dhea n start eating before we commence ivf....boooo feeling super sad...

Hello valteen, actually i dont know what type of supplement it is hee...but dr asked me to buy online...i think it will help to boost the number n quality of eggs....meanwhile i plan to continue my tcm plus acupuncture...hopefully can improve....
 
Oh so my AF really came punctually today. As expected. But I really thot something was diff this rd as I experienced cramps on 3&4dp5dt which I hoped was implantation cramps. Sorry, no bb dust to spread: (

Can any sister tell me what I shld do next? Having failed 2fresh & 1fet, I will stop trying for ivf for a while. Till have i've no idea whether my other 2 blastocysts were frozen till i go for bt. My thought was that ivf is the last resort, if this doesn't work, what would work?!? feeling depressed but at the same time puzzled why things always turn out this way. Most people will succeed within 3 rds, I really don't know what's wrong with me? Tried tcm, acupuncture, endo scratching and even to the blastocysts stage.

Previously one sister was mentioning abt killer cells. Can I find out more? is that part of the standard tests to be done? Read that that can affect implantation
 
Something new I heard from doc today. She said my this batch of eggs quality no good but doesn't mean next batch no good and every 2 months we get a new batch... Not every month?
 
mbbhopeful, hug hug. Stay strong. I experienced the same thing as you. I failed 2 fresh and 1 FET. That's why I requested my doctor to test killer cells for me (have not got my result yet). I think this is not the routine test for Ivf as the nurse and cashier were not sure about the item code, cost, blood required and time required for this test. But for people who failed 3 Ivf, you should consider to test this. However, for women having endometriosis, the likelihood of too much or too strong killer cells is low.

Oh no very sorry to hear that, hope you are feeling better now, meanwhile please Tiao your body first before you are ready again, you can also ttc, who know you might surprise us with your miracle...you can also call kkivf to ask for early BT. Take care girl.

I am with Thomson. I have 2 biochemical pregnancy out of 3 Ivf. Doctor said it could due to the quality of the embryos, which you won't really know unless we do a chromosome test (but this is not allowed in Singapore).

If your doctor never tells you that you have endometriosis, then you should not have this condition. Worth to test your natural killer cells.
 
Thanks michng.. LoveG, I've been tiao-ing for the past 3mths. Even the sinseh said my pulse was not bad. Hmm. I called the kkivf hotline a few times this morn but no one pick up. Think they r only free in the afternoon.

just walk in for a BT. Try again! Dun give up.l, there's hope. I know is tough emotionally, but sometimes we just hv to go thru a bumpy road before we have own child. At least, u know ur womb is fine. It is a case of emByro not gd. Killer cells? I doubt so.

Give urself time to recover. But dun wait too long ok. Coz quality of eggs drop w our age. I believe there's sure to b one gd embyro! U will succeed. Just when. Take care.

Bliswifu, hv u started taking it? I am also seeing tcm but i also hv a cervical polyps which is likely to affect chances of preg
 
Ok pingpingzoe, I'll ask my dr abt it. I went tl read a few articles online, immunity test seems to attract both p positive n negative feedback with some saying that it's not scientifically proven etc. What's your plan now?

jklim thanks. Maybe it's really not the time yet. How come it's embryo prob since the dr has tried with blastocysts ? I wld think it's more of implantation failure.
 
Mobbhopeful may I know what is your lining before ET? Since your TCM said your pulse is good, I guess you don't have cold womb, really curious what is the problem why embryos can't implant, maybe see what is your ivf dr say this time?
 


Mbbhopeful, blastocyst does not mean embyro no is not defective. Embyro dun implant is coz quality no good. Even implant also will end up w miscarriage if embyro is no good.
