I'm 31. I started lucrin on 20th aug - 10 units. I thought it's standard dosage for lucrin. As for puregon, the dosage is decided by the doctor.
 
Syrah, maybe is depend on yr age? c d8 after 1st scan, if got improvement the dosage will remain. Otherwise, they will increase the dosage for u?
 
Lucrin is set at standard for 10iu.
Puregon is decided by doc in charge... but ave would be 200iu, mine also 200iu... I'm 29yrs old ...

I don't know how the doc determines how much dosage to set ...
 
Hello! I just had my ET today. Had mine at KKH and now it's 2WW for me. When I left Kkh earlier, the nurses did not exactly brief me what I shld do during 2ww, and what I shld not do. Also what shld I eat more or what foods to eat lesser. I m given the proges inserts and then go back for blood test. Anyone can advise me?

Also anyone also in 2ww now?
 
Hi ladies, I'm starting lucrin on wed and nurse ask me to come between 10am-4pm to buy lucrin and teach how to inject. Will I get live demo? The demo is done ourself or nurse do for us? I so excited to start phrase 1 =D
 
Nina, it's possible that they may increase. It all depends on how the body is reacting to puregon.

Miracle, 1st scan during puregon stage is day 29. So u can plan ER from there onwards.
 
Pandawife, I hope to join you soon in the MTB thread in less than 2 months time. I think you still can keep the frozens right? Keep first la, who knows you find 3 is too little and might go for more in future?

Syrah, Congrats! So you will only start stage 2 on 10th. Tt means you jab 21 days of lucrin before starting stage 2? Is this a standard protocol? Everyone need to jab for 21 days of lucrin before starting stage 2?

Congrats Minakochang, I will start lucrin 1 week later than you. We are quite close. I believe it will be a live demo for you since you only collect on 1st day of lucrin cos I collected mine 2 months back.

I need to point out that I started with ocp and so lucrin started on CD16 instead of CD21 when AF reported last month. I'm not too sure how many days will your lucrin be for. If I'm not wrong it's just the difference of those 5 days for Lucrin and the rest is the same.

When collecting lucrin, the nurse will teach you how to jab. After that, she asked if I wanted to do the actual 1st jab on the spot. I turned her down as I rather do it on my own at home.
 
Nina- I retrieved 26, but only 7 fertilized. Put in 2. Nurse says that it's not quantity but quality. U going for ER tmrw? All the best to u.
 
Nina- yup. Prior to ER, when scanned, they detect 21. They said quite a few are smaller but dr Loh will take out all during ER regardless of size. So m not so surprised on final fertilized eggs. Are u also with kkh?
 
Syrah, thanks for info cos I tink will be super nervous if jab on the spot.. I rather do at home. Since I taking time off only in afternoon, is it ok to jab lucrin at night?cos during my previous so-iui puregon jab is done in the morning. Btw can we still go for body massage and facial during suppression stage?
 
goofie, rest well during the 2ww. Take more high protein food like fish, milk, H2O etc. Do not go shopping, squat, carry heavy things. Do not eat chilli, oily food...continue your supplement like folic acid if u taking.

This is the ones tt I rmb. I cannot locate the "dos and don'ts" list". Anyone has? Can help goofie?
 
I am also starting Lucrin on Wed. I think I forgot what the nurse had taught. >.<. Is it easier to jab ourselves or hubby jabbing?

I think i am on 14 days of Lucrin. I suppose to do a BT on 21 Sept to see if I can proceed with 2nd stage.

Anyway, anyone on ocp having cramps? I keep having on off cramps like having period like tat.
 
Sesame, I not sure.. Only collect lucrin on wed (cd21) but I believe will be >14 days cos my LMP is 19aug and i have average 32days cycle. Usually puregon begin cd2 if I'm not wrong...
 
blurlet, are you with kkh? Wah, there are alot of cycle buddies this month... So on ocp will hv only 14 days of lucrin..

minakochang, oops! Can you update me on Wed again hw many days your lucrin is? Thanks in advance!
 
sesame_oil, yeah.. with kkh, Dr Loh also. I remember the nurse did write me a planned map of how many days ocp den how many days lucrin den Gonal F or puregon.

I am actually quite curious how do they determine if u going to use Gonal F or puregon. One time they say will be Gonal F. Then the next time puregon.
 
blurlet - u can jab urself or ask hubby to jab. 2 fingers away from ur belly button, in a "smiley face" direction jab. I have on &amp; off cramps when I take ocp even have spotting for few days

minako, not using any calculator, when we went for the briefing they draw out the map and the baseline check pts. They had included the number of days each will go and what to expect. They also explain if this step doesn't meet what will be done. Now I cannot remember where i kept the paper though.. >.<.. Can Can.. be cycle buddy. Hope we one time cycle buddy only and report to the other thread liao.. ^^v.
 
miracle, not sure whether we are referring to the same timeline. It is a paper whereby they will hv a checkpoint for each step? I rmb I got it when I had the briefing with the nurse.
 
Ladies,
I asked for an estimated timeline on the day I started ocp. Nurse Sara wrote it on a piece of blank paper for me. As for the actual timeline with dates, this document will be issued when u go down to collect Lucrin.

Yes u can jab at night. I ate the ocp, jab the lucrin all at night. Intend to jab puregon at night too. The nurse told me ok to do so.

19 days of Lucrin is ok. Lucrin is really quite painless. After collecting puregon today, that's the one that's giving me 2nd thoughts. The feel is so different from the Lurin needle.
 
syrah, orh, so the handwritten is the timeline with dates. Ok, Then I got it as I hv collected my lucrin. They only give the 1st scan &amp; BT date.

Can we jab lucrin and puregon together in the mornings?

I am ok with the 19 days of lucrin, the only worry I have is whether I will be overly suppressed?

Do you mean puregon more painful?
 
miracle, the timeline indicated is only for the 1st BT and scan date, Subsequent ones will not be indicated cos it will depends on our response to stage 2. But the 2nd scan will be after 7 days of puregon/gonal f.

Yup, initially on day of Lucrin collection, there's only 1 form stating when to do 1st scan &amp; BT. Today, they gave me the next sheet for stage 2.

I believe can jab together since it's ok to jab tog at night. Just make sure to alternate between the 2. (meaning lucrin rt, puregon left. then the next day reverse side)

I'm on even longer days of lucrin. Furthermore with the ocp, even higher likelihood of oversuppressed. However, I'm more concerned with overstimulation! From what I understand, if follicle not reacting well to stimulation can increase dosage. But if overstimulate, cant reduce dosage.

Yes, puregon is supposed to be more painful. And it's bl**dy expensive! No wonder need medisave. 1 box of 2 dosage is $200+. Collected 4 boxes today which is $800+!

syrah - puregon is really really expensive! when I was doing my iui, my gynae charge me $300 for one pen!! thats for 375ui which can last me for 3 days only, I still have some left from my iui

do note that this is a receipe shared by dr zou to her preg patients who encountered spotting during their 1st tri. but it does not mean that it replaces medicine, if spotting occurs it's always advisable to go back yr doc 1st

Cut about 3-4 slices of lotus roots , put a few red dates and cook the glutious rice like the way u cook porridge .* meaning u put everything in a pot with water like the way u cook porridge*
 
syrah, To get yourself prepared, you can start off with 2 egg whites once you start your puregon jab and progressively increase your protein intake.

winniepooh, are u using puregon or GonalF ?

yes, that's correct. Yours is exactly the same as mine. In other words, assuming BT on 14th is ok, will stage puregon on 20th and jab for 8 days. Lucrin will jab all the way till here.
 

Day, Thanks mate! I have to start my egg whites while u can take a break for now. Guess you'll be staying far away from them for a long time till it's needed again.
