I am intending to embark on the ivf route and my RE advised that he does the ivf only at 2 ivf centers - TMC or Mount E. any sharing or feedback on these 2 labs? Much appreciated! Thanks!

I have just started on my IVF Journey, currently still on Lucrin stage.

Im suppose to be having my menses in the midst of lucrin injections right, but mine is late for a week now. Anyone have the same experience??
 
Hi Val, Yes, I am approaching to an end of my suppression stage. My RE is a nice and v.patient doctor who will explain things in detail. The staff at TFC are friendly as well. Will ur ivf procedures be at TFC/TMC ?

Hi! How have you been? Seems like I'm going to start my process earlier than you now.

I was supposed to be on the standard long protocol since it's my since time doing IVF and the pre-testing did show that I was ovulating and all. My cycle is quite regular with ard 35 days. However my 2nd cycle after a recent lap went completely haywire with a 46days cycle and completely skipped Jul and reported 1st week of Aug in the end. So I emailed Dr Loh and he changed mine to ocp. With ocp, instead of starting 21days after AF, it's 16 days. That's y I'm starting the lucrin next Fri!

Cordyceps also known as Dong Cong Cao.

DH can take it too.
I took it during my 2ww but read online that not advisable to continue taking once bfp. Best to consult doc/TCM doc.

Started taking cordyceps about 5 months before I did my FET. No harm to start taking it now. Afterall, it's also good for your general well-being.

cordycep good for hubbie. I took before but too heaty for me. I took powder type. Got medical shop to make into powder and take a small teaspoon daily. But too heaty for me so end up hubby finish it. =)</font>

I'm still deciding between TMC and Mt E. Not too sure if the TFC @ TMC is the plc to go if I intend to go with the lab at TMC. Will be heading down on Monday to have a chat with the nurses on level 5.. Is that the TFC centre?

I m intending to hold off the ivf for 2 more months as I have just recently started on TCM as well to hopefully boost my chances as tests have reflected that I have low ovarian reserve.
 
miracle - I was advised to take cordycep too. hubby has been taking for abt 2 weeks now, my body is very liang or all those cooling food I cannot touch but occasionally I still eat lah
 
babychloe, thanks for the information on cordeceps, I used to buy it and brew it myself. However, nowadays too bz and find its more convenient to consume it in pill form. The brand you mentioned Borsch, where can I get it?

I took cordyceps since June coz of my 1st failed IVF (had a mc)..heard it's good to take after mc too..my hubby is taking it as well.. I was told that cordyceps is not heaty at all..it can be taken even when you are preggy.. I have even double checked with Dr Zou on this.. so you can rest assured to take it on daily basis if you want..

Nope, it comes in powdery form..there's capsules types but have different ingredients..I bought the powdery one, just place it in boiling water, clear chicken broth, soup, cereal, desert or hot beverage and can be served in 3-5mins..and it's organic..

Thomson Fertility Ctr is at Level 5. If you are undecided, you should head down to both the clinics and do a comparison before deciding. You should only embark your IVF journey until u are mentally and physically ready.Have you just started with TCM ?

My reading came back as 2.54 but I m not sure wat tat relates to as sf loh didn't reply my mail.

Yeap! That's the advice of my RE as well. Check both the ivf centers out before deciding. The labs and nurses are just as important as the RE

Yes, have started on weekly consults for TCM. Both have advised to not to wait too long in my family planning.

I did the AMH test but not with KK. Based on what's indicated on the results sheet.. >/= 15: good ovarian reserve. 5-15: normal ovarian reserve. 1-5: low ovrian reserve and < 1: very low ovarian reserve. Coincidentially, I yielded the same results s u at 2.54 which is low. U may wanna speak to your RE on the specifics but based on my understanding, it's gonna take more drugs dosage to stimulate the ovaries and the number of eggs which can be retrieved may not be as many as others. Bottomline is that if u know that both yourself and your DH have issues in trying to conceive then perhaps it's good to start early as the quality of the eggs deteriorate as we age.

I did my 1st ivf attempt with the lab at Mount E.
In my opinion, the chief embryologist there is abit junior. The nurses are great.. friendly and helpful.

I did not have the FSH tests.. It was a test which my RE suggested that it's good to know so that we can plan accordingly. If the ovarian reserve is low, then perhaps we may want to explore more invasive options like ivf immediately but if things were better, a couple more rounds of iui first is recommended as it's less invasive, and financially not as taxing.

Thanks for the feedback pandawife on Mount E. One of the questions I have when I head down to both the ivf centers is to gather more feedback on the chief embrylogist's credentials. How long ago was your ivf attempt at Mount E?

Dr Zou say my lining is rather thin for d10. If tmr scan doesn't show improving, likely can't proceed this month.

I call up kkivf as hvnt heard fr them since march.was told they need 3 mths..anyway d amh test is not conclusive yet as the research is still ongoing.
But d nurse unable to provide more info n sf loh is not responding mail.hmm...whom was telling me HIS reply very fast..eiiiii..
However my 3d scan yielded gd results of abt 7eggs both side.
I initialli wanted to use d amh as a guide on my decision to
ivf.based on val's breakdown,it seeems my reserve is low  n I guess there shd not be further excuse or fear,pullback on
ivf le.

not realli trigger by fsh.this is a program of kkivf which allows 100 patients participation to study d relationship of ovarian reserve vs puregon dosage.currently using fsh to determine amt of puregon dosage used.
Btw, I had a hysteroscope done in June,n was on lucrin jab 2cycles to treat my mild endo as gyne feels since I not going in soiui,rather to waste d 2mth might as well treat my endo n upz my success rate. I tested fsh in dec d data Is only 5.5 which is worrying.d lower d fsh,d higher puregon dosage.
Dr zou commented all d jabs might hv affected my fsh n requested a retest in fdb which turns out to be good 8.6 of normal range.

TTCingBB, your cordeyceps is what brand? Just now went Eu Yang Seng and it sosts abt 1k just for about 100 over pills! TT is v expensive!!!
 
ceraine, usually Dr Loh reply quite fast, 1-2 days. Hmm, perhaps you can indicate "Urgent" in your email subject and also indicate your IC no.

miracle, Dr Zou told me cordyceps is not heaty. Hubby ans us can take also. Good for sperms and egg quality. I might consider getting from her.
 
babychloe, do u think their quality is good? I saw already like so-so only, perhaps the one I seen is $400+ per slab...and Dr Zou told me can make into 100 over pills. Only enough for a month if hubby and me take.
 
babychloe, Dr Zou told me the capsule one is not from the natural cordycepes so its much cheaper. I ask abt the effects, she says of cos natural ones is better. Hmm...

saw the ones Dr Zou's shop selling but not too sure the quality. Maybe other sistas here who has taken it can enlighten you since I took the capsule ones.

Our treatment is already so ex. + all these add. supplements that we are taking is costing a bomb right?
 
Just woke up &amp; eaten Bfast. weighted myself &amp; I'm back to the same weight as before the injections ... Ha!
