ya.. i oso quite surprise to hear tat counselling has 2 sessions. But y must 've 2 leh?
Normally, wat will they tell us during the session? The counselling session 1 is wif nurse, the other wif social worker?

Ladies, are you all quitting on coffee and tea? I need at least 1 cup of coffee a day & Dr Zou says drink coffee is better than tea.

I'll be 31 this year and DH 33. I checked last time, but only scan and pap smear. Gynae said I ok just that wall is thin. DH sperm count ok just that motility not very fantastic and the sperm shape round not arrow-headed lor.
My gynae also nvr do other test liao... just ask me go straight to IVF. I was shocked, so I stopped seeing her... but also partly moving hse, so DH ask me to stop first.

I want to share my story here. I used to be very active here. I went thru 3 Fresh cycles. I was with NUH the first 2 times. And each fresh cycle I went thru, I have only 1 egg that managed to mature and suitable for me to implant. The first cycle ended with a miscarriage at 11 weeks. The 2nd cycle end with BFN. I wasn’t even diagnose with low ovarian reserve because I am only 29. Prof Wong and Dr Zou don’t know what happen. Especially when I went for my accup and drink my Chinese Medicine diligently for 1 year before I start my 2nd one. I have 6 beautiful follicles and end of the day only 1 egg found.
I switch to KKH and I didn’t not take any Chinese med. I still went for Accup but I stop just before I start my 3rd cycle. I went for short protocol instead of the usual long one. I discuss with Dr loh and which ever dr who is in charge then to increase my dosage as and when if needed. Dr Loh even told me that the reason which might explain why I am not responding well to drug is because I have small ovary. Finally someone tell me that.
My 3rd cycle, I implant 2 and have 2 to keep. And I give birth to a pair of twin last year. Although my whole pregnancy is full of up and down and I even stay in ICU for days when I deliver, but Dr loh and his group keep me alive and well to see my twins.
Gals I learnt from all my 3 cycles. Keep oneself positive even when ur body tell you this cycle might fail. You never know. I was staining and even have fresh blood all the way during first trimester. I know it is not easy to go through especially mentally. Dont give up.

For yr 3rd cycle, wat did Dr Loh do to increase the success rate since he diagnosed u wif small ovary? That means even chinese medicine & accup oso cannot help if we have small ovary?

Dr Zou told me to reduce intake slowly. If have habit of drinking 2 cups of coffee a day, drink 1 cup. If 1 cup, decrease to 1/2 cup. Better don't drink tea because it is 'cooling'. If really need tea, must add milk. Also green tea is a big NONO.

I guess its all the trial & error we got to go thru'. But I reali admire u..u r a brave lady! Having twins will keep u bz but at the same time they will light up yr life too as u c them grow up day by day. Take care!

Ximi, thks for sharing ur experience with us while u have already given birth. I m also like u not responsive to sitmulation drugs. Can u share with me hows the short protocol like? Do u go straight into sitmulation during day 2 of menses? Why did dr loh say u got small ovaries? Did u went thru laparascopy with him? Congrats to u for ur twins...

Yes it is all bottom down to trial and error. But when i let go and not to think of it at all. Since there is nothing can be done at all. Might as well just go with the flow.

Yes it start with stimulation then at later stage start the down regulation. I did my laparascopy with a dr at Mount E which is totally unnecessary. He just said it by looking at my scan.

Hehe. not guts, just that it come to a stage when nothing can be done, why not give it a shot at it.Honestly, i never jab on myself. i chicken out each time. i just provide the flesh and ask my hubby to do it.

I didn't use her BBT chart. Dunno whr I put it.. I juz record my temp in HP & show her... actuali write on paper oso can. Juz give her the last 2 digits ll do

I have a brand new unopened 300iu of puregon cartridge stored properly in my fridge expiring on 07/11.. do let me know if you want it. I can let u have it for $150. I have done 3 cycles but only one with puregon. My other 2 are with gonal f. If you use the puregon pen, please let me know cause there is no point keeping it for me. If I do embark on another cycle, it will be on gonal f not puregon anymore.

usually when medication leaves the clinic, it is not refundable as they will not know if you have stored the drug in proper conditions.
I also have extra crinone from my last cycle.

My mum hinted me tat her fren's daughter now already given birth to her 2nd 1 & its a boy. I knew she wan to ask me when is my turn?? I'm so depressed!

I have the same problems with my mil. Every weekend when we see her, she will talk to me about babies.... very drepressing... bt i tell myself, i did not get married to have babies. More impt is that me and hb hv a good and strong r/s. Having baby is a bonus.
