IUI/SO-IUI: Anyone?

How many days r u on now? At which size the follicles stops growing, just go see doctor hear what he say. Don't stress so much ok. Hugs

Try again next cycle! Jiayou Jiayou! I can't even go till IUI ... at least u managed to go to the procedure stage. Stay positive!

Actually there is a difference but I can only verify for IUI. IUI for subsidised is $300, while private is $600. I happen to overheard the nurse saying the price difference

I had the same experience during my first IUI. 12dpiui, my AF decided to visit me. Dunno about this time round. I think I not pregnant too.......

I see, but I guess I want things to go faster, so I got to pay more as Private. Nevermind bah, what has to be spent need to spend.
Money earned already must spend, else keep so long also no use...

don't despair~ as some ladies also said, the more tries in IUI, the higher chances it is.
Some even got Twins lor.

We will all jiayou tog. and proceed to 2nd and 3rd round of IUI! CHIONG AH!

Yah, if you are rushing for time, then yes. Better opt for private if you have the means. :)

Ya man! I don't actually mind the jabs... I'm more uncomfortable with the metal things going in "you know where" hahahahah

Actually, what's the difference between IUI and SO IUI? I don't know which one I had... haha

I've heard that red bean soup can help thicken the uterine lining, so I kept drinking that before and after IUI. But it didn't worked for me, HAHA

Besides that, I tried to avoid iced drinks... sometimes no choice, really so thirsty and hot that I had to drink it. Too bad we live in such a hot climate.

For hubby, he tried to eat more eggs and eat multivitamin (which contains some folic acid) everyday. Aiya but he has no issue with his SA...

IUI is clomid + iui procedure
SOIUI is clomid + stimulation jabs + iui procedure
Stimulation jabs can increase follicle count and size
I believe you did IUI this cycle.
 
Hi gers, i juz started on soiui today. I was only given injection n have to inject for a week. I didn't know the injections are so exp!

Really feel depress sometimes. Spending money to torture myself.

Hi, I did Tamoxifen + 1 trigger jab ovidrel + IUI

Does this mean I did SO IUI? Or the 1 jab is not considered?
 
Jia you all! Dont give up and be is despair. Keep reminding yourself that for every BFN, we are getting closer to BFP. We just dont know when. Have faith. :)

This is not only one of the emotionally draining process but financially draining too. But try not to think this way. Just think this journey as a sacrifise that will reap its reward later. :)

Sorry havent been active cos I am pretty caught up with my cousin wedding function this weekend. I am only the one left with no AF yet. @catinthesky & @babyloveyou AF have arrived...:( Sorry gals. Thought we can have the same cycle for next round too. But I believe my AF delay due to the progesterone inserts.

So what is the next course of action for both of you? IUI still or IVF?
 
Actually, tcm works for you or not depends on whether you click with the tcm or not; and whether he is willing to listen to your feedback. For my first tcm, he did not listen to me that after my blighted ovum (empty sac) in August last year (2014), that my AF cut short from the normal 5 to 3 days at most only. Also, when he increased the herbs once, it totally caused my ovulation to be absent, and lead to super early AF. For my current tcm, his herbs managed to increase the flow of my AF from 3 to 5 days (if including the 1.5 days brown spotting, it will be 7 days), so he is rather happy with it when I gave feedback to him this month during my monthly follow up.

Hihi tryingtoconceive, can check of number of days for af is important ? Mine is always on the lower end. What does tcm say about this ?
 
I fail my first iui on july. I diagnosed with pcos. Before that my cycle was regular. Ovulate on day 20, af visit on day 32. But after few round of letrezole and 1 round of iui. I feel that my body become weak. Last month mensus only last for 2 days then no more. This month I think I didn't ovulate cause my bbt didnt raise up. I on cd21 already.
 
So doing iui does affect the AF length? Am extremely worried coz my AF decreases to such an amt tt it cant even filled up a pad!
 
Just did my second soiui yesterday. Very bad cramping today. Hb said if this time unsuccessful dun do anymore. So this cycle is make or break for me. Jiayou everyone!
 
hi everyone, can i just check what is the difference in protocol for so-iui in TMC vs kkh? for so-iui there is a need for multiple scanning on different days leading up to the actual procedure, i heard it can take up to several hours at kkh (even for private?). does anyone know if the scanning & consultation can be done more quickly in TMC and the average wait time and if it can be done in evenings/ late afternoon? as i dont think my work allows me to be away >2hrs during office hours . thanks alot!
 
If the amount of pain we bear can bear us children, we will have a football team soon... What's with fertility problems! Sorry, just ranting... Jiayou ladies, my first IUI was done smoothly, sadly it ended up with an ectopic. So do watch your body for any signs!

I did POAS on 12dpiui. BFN. But I did not stop my progesterone inserts. Left 2 more stick. One for today and another for tomorrow. Can feel my stomach like having mild AF cramping. But AF have yet to visit. Well, I just see how after my last progesterone inserts. If AF never come 2 days after my last stick, I will POAS again. Doubt it will be BFP. :(

Hi angle bb,

Did your dr prescribe you letrezole warn you with the bad side effects. You can't take this medicine for longer than 3 cycles. Last time, back in 2011, I did not know about this. My gynae. in KK prescribed me with 3 cycles of it; and said if not successful, then on the 4th cycle, I tried SO-IUI. However, to the sonographer's horror (as scans are needed to schedule the exact date), I developed a very large cyst (14cm at least) which required laparoscopy. The actual cysts that was removed was actually 16cm, if I remembered correctly. I subsequently switched to Dr Loh in TMC. He told me that my large cyst was caused by the medication. And he quoted me another one of his patients, also advised by her gynae to take this medicine; and when her grandmother brought her to him for consultation, he also discovered a 20cm cyst in the ovary, which had to be removed surgically through keyhole surgery. So please do not use this medicine for more than 3 months. I am really not scaring you.

Hi thejewelbox,

I think from my tcm's point of view, weak womb can lead to miscarriages. And one of the symptoms of weak womb is having less than 3 days of af. In his view, the womb need to be strong, so that can fu tai (hold the embryo properly) for the next pregnancy. So if your number of AF is low, meaning you have short cycles, your hormones may not be high enough to develop and maintain a pregnancy. In other words, even if pregnancy results, it cannot be maintained, so will lead to miscarriage.

I see..hope AF don't come in many months for u and u get your BFP :) I've been spotting slightly for the past 2 days but AF still not here, boobs still sore and temp still above cover line. Finally POAS this morning but bfn so just have to wait and see. Just hope if AF is coming please come tdy or tml and not wait till mon and add to my mon blues..haha

Seems like a common side effect. I googled something bout invasion using the catheter and problem reaching the cervix hence the cramps.
