Booboolina, is there any reason y dr sadhana advise u to see dr loh instead of doing in kkh?
U need to call up the clinic to book appt even though u emailed to him. Coz i rem i emailed him to inform him of my intention to move ahead with my lap n he told me my lap will b at 10am. but i only get to do it at 1plus - sent him a gentle reminder abt my lap 2 days before it... so rem to call up the clinic as well.

Actually when my dh suggesting so-IUI with dr.sadhana after failed IVF, dr.sahana also suggested dr.sf loh. So I went to see him

Girls, after seeing prof Wong, he suggested IVF based on the % of success and my low amh. He said no point keep on stimulating ovaries by doing so-IUI where the chance is just 7-8%

I guess I will take his advise and go ahead for feb/mar cycle.

I just had my blood test and ultrasound reviee today and will be starting iui once my af has arrived.. was given pills to induce af so cycle shld start in about a week's time.. got the report from dr and see alot of terms i dont recognise.. any particular result i shld be looking at that can directly affect rqte of success? Doc just told me, all looks ok..

Are there any tips on how to increase success rates? Taking LRD tea, wearing socks to sleep.. will egg whites help?

Think you might wanna check with your gynae regarding taking tcm med.. Acupuncture shld be fine.. My gynae does not encourage tcm herbs together with the stimulation meds/jabs..

I have been taking egg whites, blackmores conceive well, brazil nuts, salmon, a lot of fruits. I am also doing brisk walking alternate days. Basically, try to exercise to aid blood circulation and healty diet.
 
Twinkletwinklestars - thanks for your advise! I read somewhere online we need to drink lots of water and alot of veg and fruits.. im already taking fish oil and coq10..

When are you expecting to start your med? Im taking femera and shld start in ard a week, after my menses have been induced..

I guess I am a week later than you. I will need injection to induce my period next Monday and start the process after the period comes. I am currently taking Metformin and will be on clomid from Day 2 - 6. Will be going NUH. Can share where are you doing your IUI?

I will be at CHR either Dr Stephen Chew or Dr Anu. I was diagnosed with PCOS, not ovulating well therefore was suggested SOIUI. This is my first attempt. Not very clear about the procedure. Guess will just follow the doctor's instructions.

How about yourself?
 
Twinklet - im doing mine at kkhivf with dr sadhana.. i also have pcos.. have tried clomid + metformin for 6 cycles but no use. My dh also has some soldier issues.. Ur Dh all clear? If this so-iui fails for me, my next step is ivf le..

Bb - i'm not sure why i wasnt given injectables.. but could be cause i have pcos? Maybe injectables will over stimulate can cause too much growth? I'm taking the pills for inducing my menses already.. Gotta take it for a week and 1 to 2 days after ifinish the med, my menses should start..

My DH SA is cleared. I have tried 150mg Clomid few years ago but it didnt worked. This cycle I was prescribed 150mg Clomid and to go back for Day 7 scanning. Most probably have to injectables as the doc says so. I have also started Metformin and have been running to the toilet often. Do you experience any side effects of Metformin? I have a AMH of 30.5, so afraid that I will be either overstimulate or totallly no eggs.....
 
Twinklet - Oh, I read online that Clomid helps in producing more follicles whereas Ferama only 1-2 at a time.. I'm presuming ur amh is in pmol/l? 30.5 is in the optimum category.. Mine is 5.4 my/no.. doc says it's OK..

Don't worry, the scan will determine if the Med is too much or top little then they will adjust the medication as required.

Have faith OK? I'm also trying too.. =)

Is this try for ur first baby? I'm 29 and trying for my first.. Been trying 2.5 years with nothing le...

Yes my AMH is 30.5 pmol/l. I have read from Internet that usually ladies with PCOS will have high AMH.

I am 30 this year, trying for first baby too. Let's jiayou together!
 
Twinklet - My dr says at our age our chances are quite high! I think my menses is coming already.. I had some brown discharge this morning.. If it's the case, I will start my cycle this week!
 
Hi Ladies.. *wave* joining the board for the first time. I am with Dr Charles Lim. Was with another gynae but after four rounds of clomid + metformin he was keen to go for YET another round of same medication, I decided to switch to another gynae who is more aggressive in treatment. I am likely to go for IUI but need to first clear a suspicious cyst looking thingy in my ovaries by waiting out this current period. Coming in here to learn more about IUI and get some support!
 
twinklet, Im doing soiui this cycle too.. trying for natural iui last 2 cycles but either ovulated too fast or follicle juz shrink..

Bb - Not sure if I will need jabs, will the type of med change after my first ultrasound scan? Haven full flow yet, still brown but it's quite milky which isn't the usual I get before af.. dunno isit the Med I'm taking? I gotta induce cos I got pcos a s my menses is vv irregular.. can be 3 mths once and since my last menses was 1.5 mths ago, doc asked if wanna induce so I said OK, start earlier better than wait for af to naturally come which is dunno when.. but dr did tell me even if af come, must do preg test before starting stim Med...

BabySteps, now i realised u r taking femera... guess another thing is femera won't make the lining thin.. im taking puregon jab alr.. next wk scan.. if ur menses came yst, aren't u supposed to see dr sadhana to start the medication / bt today?
 
Bb - I already got the femera pills when i saw her last week.. The first day of my menses i'm to call kkivf to confirm i can start the pills on day 2 and also make appointment for day 8 scan.. Puregon jab isit the same kind as the jabs for ivf? How many days are u expecting to take it before insemination? The nutse told me mine have to take ard 12-14 days..

My spotting has stopped.. Looks like AF not reporting after all..
 
BabySteps, yes its the same as for ivf but at lower dosage.. jab till i see doc on cd 9 & scan. i declined to use clomid coz it will thin my lining. I felt puregon jab sting but bearable...

My situation is the same as Baby Steps.I need to induce AF because they can MIA for months.Going on long holidays with the wrong reason!

I felt much consoled when the NUH doc and TCM Sinseh says I am still young.May I know if what medicine are you taking to induce AF? Is it Norethisterone or Duphaston? Personally I have tried both but I had the most side effects from Duphaston. Therefore this time I opt for Progesterone shot instead.

I have this thought for the past few days. Since our AF / ovulation is not regular. We may not have any PMS symptoms.Does the TWW applies to us too?
 
Twinklet - im taking Duphaston.. So far no major side effects except for feeling a little bloated and random mild headaches..

It should apply to us since we will get a trigger shot for ovulation at the end of the stimulation.. i've been charting my cycles last few rounds and notice that once i get a poaitive on my ovulation test, around 15-16 days later, my menses will start...

Im having brown discharge again and more today.. No red seen though.... Aiyo..

My choices included Dr Loh, Dr LC Foong, Prof Ng but all of them on leaves end dec.. so the only choice which Dhm has rec is Dr Fong Yang who has rave reviews as well.. so I went to see him on fri & was relieved he suggested either clomid or puregon.. i choosed the latter.. Hope to catch dhm's sticky luck! how are u? U muz have alr preparing yourself well with supplements & tcm for your feb ivf? JY!

Which CD are you at now?

I've not been doing much extra stuff for ivf in feb.. Been preparing since july so just continue with the usual.. Starting tcm this mth but rather than using it to prepare for ivf, it's more for hubby and me to hope to strike before ivf.. Haha..
 
This is getting weird.. I've been having on off brown discharge since day 2 of talking Dydrogesterone.. Never heavy, sometimes just staining my pantyliner.. Can go from milky to dark brown (sorry if its TMI) I've had these pills to induce menses before but never had spotting like this.. Isit screwing up my system? Today is Day 6 and tomorrow is the last day onsupposed to take the Med.. Anyone had similar experiences?

Perhaps the discharge are those old blood flushing out from your body? I have taken duphason twice and i took them for 10 days/2 tablets a day for each course and i didnt experience any spotting. Do you think can call the clinic and ask?
