Is 38 years old is too late for pregnant?

What type of health problem do you have? Is better for u to nurse yourself in good shape before trying.
Fatigue and ms is not a joke, moreover if health is not good. Taking certain medicine is not suitable for pregnancy.

I have a 2cm fibroid which is intramural fibroid. Doctor said its not affect mine fertility. However, I had ttc almost a year. No good news at all. Sigh

Lol. Just need to go one time then after that once in 3 mths. He is famous there. Also can day trip. Tiger fly there daily.
He didn't charged consultation , only medicine. And you can buy the stock for 3 mths.

I am also turing 38 this year...had been ttc for countless years... Still no news no nothing....except period reporting on time every month... Getting tired and losting hope soon.

Had a friend who became 1st time mum at 40, one at 42, another one for a 2nd time at 40, it gives me hope.. I am turning 37 and due to a combination of issues (1 of it being an apathetic hubby) we didn't start until recently.

If you want to have a child, please see a specialist early. At least the specialist can help to rule out some health factors. I am doing iui now, 2nd cycle. Diagnosed with pcos, have thyroid issues, didn't respond to clomid or femara (at stronger drug), no choice but to go iui... Just to note, Singapore doesn't allow women over 40 to do ivf unless they are on special permit.

So you might really want to think about this. Just do it if you really want a child. All it means is cutting down on our current lifestyle, struggle a little more physically on bringing up the child... Good luck!

Spore does not allow ivf for woman over 45 not 40. You can still do ivf when u are 40 just that u are not able to enjoy the govt grant. You can only use medisave. Many ladies are having a baby late 30s or even 40 so you can definitely be preg.

You should seek help from fertility dr. Do Iui or ivf. The procedure is not scary. The longer u drag the worse your success rate

Haha ok. Maybe my motherly doctor was seriously trying to scare me into really thinking about about trying then, that's why she mention about the special permit.

Ya, have to agree the success rates drop with age... IUI, it is not super high to start with, apparently 24% or so on 1st try and 30+% 2nd time on (actually same as young couple ttc-ing). But I guess what it does is to at least help couples achieve a close to natural conception rate. So... Using my gynae' swords... Don't wait!

Yes don't wait. Iui success is only 10 to 15 percent. Ivf sucess is 40 percent for 30. After 35 sucess drop. After 40 become 10prrcent.

I feel you, I'm also turning 38 this year... I married late at 33 but was lucky I conceived my #1 in a couple of months. Started ttc for #2 when #1 was about 9 months old and only succeeded after 1 year but it ended in miscarriage at week 8/9. Now after 6 months of ttc, still no baby. Ive been feeling depressed every month during 2WW and AF. Recently I feel even more depressed cos it'll be my #2 edd if I hadn't miscarriaged.

I am 39 this yr and got pregnant at 38. Went the ivf and was lucky first time successful. Just go for a check up to see what you need to do in order to get pregnant. There are always good scientific options.

My pregnancy has been smooth so far! Now in 21 weeks!

 Serious!?!? Hmmm ... based on what grounds?
My bad, it's 45 and above. Based on MOH regulations, women 45 and above are not allowed to go into the AR program. Probably a combination of factors like higher risks of genetic defects, bringing up of child, etc, but I am not entirely sure why - didn't study law...

The 40 year old limit is on govt co-funding. At the time of the embryo transfer for IVF, the patient must be below 40 years old. More information can be found here: https://www.ecitizen.gov.sg/topics/pages/mobile/topicsdetail.aspx?mpageId=209.

Dun lose hope trying!

My first pregnancy at 36 and viola five years later now, I'm delivering no 2 next month.

But it is important to go for checks/examinations to find out any issues getting preggers. Cannot leave it to 'fate'.
