Hi Raspberry38, you just started your multivits? Perhaps it's regulating your cycle? Do you take evening primrose oil, it's quite useful for regulating cycle and increasing EWCM.

    Thanks Babylovin!
Had a discussion with my Husband, we will try one more cycle then will schedule for a test at TMC if our next cycle fail again.
Really not easy to not feeling stress at all. But I can’t afford the stress coz it will cause insomnia to me :’( hence I only can persuade myself to be patient and enjoy every moment in life!
Taking bbt actually able to let us know whether if we success or not even if yima not yet reach. So I usually prepared to welcome my yima when I see the temperature is not really high :(
    Good luck to us!

(Just get to know one of my Friend getting pregnant again for 2nd baby during CNY meet up, so... stress arh!)

Yea i think it is important to communicate with hubby, we also set a timeline after which we went to see specialist who is my current doc. I've been taking BBT for nearly 3 years now, and yes when the temp starts falling i know it's the end, even though sometimes i hope for a miracle hehe. You're not out until you see red!

this 2nd baby thing hit me and my hubby real hard too, his twin announced they expecting 2nd on CNY. I'm thankful that my hubby stays positive when i'm downright depressed, even though this is his twin and he gets compared like crazy, i'm the one who cried hysterically when i heard the news and he had to comfort me :p

How old are you Michelle19? I'm 33 this year. Married for 6.5 years, which is why people are like saying why don't i hurry have a baby. Urgh.

We got to stay positive also! Jiayou and good luck!

I did my 3 iui at NUH but to no avail plus we don't want to keep procrastinating anymore. Although Dr suggested to us that we can try another round. I guess no point since already done 3 times, if will strike will have striked already. Haha so we have to move on to next step, which we decided to go the IVF route already.

Sadly but have to accept the reality. Only can pray, hope, and at least know that we have done all that we could so that we will have no regrets in future. :)

Hi All, I'm new to this forum. I'm 30 and going to do my first IUI at KKH this month. Today is my CD 12 and the follicle size is 15.5 and uterus lining 9. Do you guys think is it normal? What i read was the average diameter of dominant follicle will be 22-24mm before ovulation. I took letrozole 250 for 5 days (CD 2-6) and whenever i took letrozole i got menstruated exactly on 28th day. In 28 day cycle ovulation will be on 12th right? I'm too confused. If anybody did IUI before, please help me to clarify.

They ask you to test for ovulation yourself?

My iui was done at NUH, so I called them to let them know its my CD 1 and then I ate letrozole for 5 days.

They then scheduled me to see doctor to scan on CD 11 or CD 12 to monitor the lining and the follicles. I remember mine at CD11 was like 18mm- 19.5mm for the follicles.

I had to get a ovidrel trigger jab one day before did my iui procedure. So your ovulation could be either CD 12 or 14?

    Thanks for the reply!

So mine growth is considerably less, right? How's your result? Was it successful? I don't whether i get ovidrel trigger jab, bcz Dr suggest simple IUI for me.

I also called them on CD 1 and they asked me start letrozole from next day and come down for scan on DC 9 then the dominant follicle size was 11.5 and uterus lining was 4. So Dr asked me to take ovulation test on CD 11, but it was -ve. So went back for next scan on CD 12, then the follicle size become 15.5 and uterus lining 9. Dr again asked me to take test tomorrow ie CD 13, if -ve i have to go back on CD 14.

I see, cos ovulation varies from person to person so I'm thinking maybe you will ovulate by CD 14. If not, it may be possible they may call for a ovidrel trigger jab.

For me I did 3 iui but none succeeded.

The first time my follicle size didn't increase alot and my lining not so good. So Dr increased my dosage of letrozole and then it was much better.

But don't worry, just continue to go back and let the doctor monitor again. Wish you all the best for your iui procedure soon ya!

Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Getting stressed and frustrated over the questions 'when having babies'? 'Why still don't have babies'? Especially during CNY :(
Heard from my Cousin about this forum. Hope to get more informations and support here.

33this year. Pcos. Menses irregular since 23yrs old. Miscarried twice. Just started fertility massage last week as rec by my cousin. Finger cross it helps.
Under what circumstances should we consider ivf?

Hi, what about his morphology? is it ok?
    he can try to take vitamin C (500-1000) , Vit E (400-500) , L-carnitine (500mg)
other vitamins that may help are zinc, coQ10, general antioxidants

Hi Jermaine, have you tried Vitex (chasteberry) to regulate your cycles? What fertility massage is that? I'm guessing IVF is beneficial for those with blocked tubes, male factor issues, endometriosis, age issues?

  19. Jermaine33

    Jermaine33 Member

No. Has been following Tcm med past 2years. Fertility massage is also new to me.i read it helps to bring more blood to uterus etc. Having my last hope on it since both my Friends conceive after doin it. My hub refuse to go for any check and test. I doubt he will even agree to ivf. Feeling so stressed and depressed.

  20. Babylovin

    Babylovin Member

You can read up about Vitex and see if you wanna try. How was your first session at the massage? What do they do?
Try sitting down with your hubby to talk about this issue? Communication during this stressful period is essential. Maybe can work out a timeline by when if don't succeed, further actions to be done? Jiayou, as everyone always say, try to not have negative feelings ya? For our future babies!

Thank you! Will try taking it. We talked about ivf yesterday and he told me not to pit him in inconvenience if I can't bear him children IN FRONT of our friends! He apologised after my friends told him off. Yet again this morning! The 1st massage session was good. Had 2nd earlier this morning and my hus came in to confront the massage lady with harsh word on her expertise. Luckily she's able to convince him and show him her certificate. I broke down during the session. Trying so hard to conceive yet he's not comforting at all

big hugs to you, wish i can give you a real big hug to comfort you. that's harsh on you. why don't guys realize that even though there can be many woman fertility issues, there is always a chance that it could be male factor, in fact it is also common. To clear all doubts, tests for both parties should be taken. maybe you can find someone who is close to him, someone he is willing to listen to and talk to him?

Think I really have to slow down. Maybe the past month of temp testing pissed him off. We have a couple Friend who just conceived after 10years of marriage. Hopefully they are able to talk him out

Hi. Just happen to see your post. Wonder if you have successfully conceive.
Because I am also trying for the past 2 years and nothing. Period come very exact and did fertility test, no problem. Husband wise only sperm shape irregular. But doctor say bot big issue. So also same feeling as you. Keep hearing colleague or friends pregnant again and again. Yet we still not even have one.
Sometimes wonder why god is so unfair to us.

Dear all, i just want to encourage you to not give up, even though many times that feeling came to me, but if we give up, we will not have any chance at all. Finally after intense/intentionally trying for 3.5 years, i got my BFP!!, 4 months after my endometriosis surgery. Currently i think i'm still in shock, can't believe my eyes. Still praying for everyone here, that you will also get your heart's desire very soon!

hi chongpf, hang in there! sometimes i also wonder why me? We can only continue praying! Do you have period pains? did HSG to check tubes?

Hi. How do u find Dr Tan HH and Dr SF Loh?

I'm currently at kkh with Dr Mahesh. I find him so-so and got a recommendation for Dr Tan HH. I also understand from my friend who used to work in KKH that SF Loh is good (btw, any idea where is he now?).

The thing is; I'm currently a subsidized patient at KKH (with mahesh). Anyway that I can change to Dr Tan HH (@ KKH) and still remain under the subsidized group? Already spent a lot of money on this ttc journey so trying to save as much as possible..☹

Yup ! It is true. If we give up, got chance also no chance.

I was on holiday withmy hubby and his friends last week. Trying to relax and not thinking about baby matter. And while chatting with his friend, got to know that his auntie gave birth to her only son at age of 50 years old. So I think I am still young, lol, trying to keep positive. Haha !!!!!

  30. Hi babylovin congrats! I’ve been following your posts in this thread and I’ve gone through a lap for endo as well and was advised to ttc right away. Did you do anything differently after your lap to increase the chances?

Raspberry38, yea my friends also told me that there are many out there who succeeded at a later stage and always hang on to the hope that we have :) Holiday is good for relaxing!

Cookiemonster11, oh hello fellow endo babe haha, when did you do the lap? how is your condition? Yea my gynae told us that we should be able to conceive within 6 months from surgery, as i had a serious case. i was told to ttc after 1 cycle, probably to rest the insides. I started on Letrozole to enhance ovulation after 1 cycle. Other than that i think i tried a lot of things too, i use pre-seed to aid in better cervical mucus, i started on Vit D, i raise legs up against wall everyday for 5-10mins to encourage blood flow to uterus, drank ginger and longan red date tea to warm up the uterus, those really help in achieving 16-17mm thick lining for the past 2 cycles! I also ate brazil nuts this cycle hehe.

Big hugs, remember i shared about how my hubby's twin's wife announced during cny about expecting their 2nd? I thought i was gonna die from it, but i tried my very best to just ignore the bad feelings, and pretended nothing bad happened, i survived! Sometimes we feel like we don't know when we will see the light at the end of the tunnel, but always have that bit of hope inside you, don't give up!

Yeah, I trying very hard to pretend. But I will keep on thinking. @@ and when more and more colleagues get to know about her pregnancy, then they will start to look at me and ask “when is ur turn”

  36. Aww.. it's only normal to overthink, i would too if i were you but hang in there!

I did my lap early this month and found out that my endo is pretty severe, so glad I decided to go for it! I had a MC last Oct and have always been suffering from bad period cramps since young so I thought it's about time after contemplating for almost a year.

Thanks for your recommendations!! You had me cracking up at the "raise legs up against the wall"! ahahaha but i guess we can't afford to miss out on any remedies before endo hits again (fingers crossed it won't strike back). Is there any specific reason why you started Letrozole?

I know how is it like too. My younger sister is pregnant and going to due end of the month. People are asking me when is my turn. People around me are getting pregnant and I am getting like more and more baby shower invitation. :(

  38. i am the only one in this group of friends who is not pregnant yet. In the last meet up, they have asked how is my baby planning going along. i did not tell them about my difficulties in conceiving because they tried and strike within 3 months. i believe they wont be able to understand how i feel. i hope the next meet up doesn't come soon.

Cookiemonster11, i forgot to mention 1 very important thing, i change my diet! I try my best to cut out gluten/wheat and red meat when possible, no dairy, no soy as these are inflammatory. I starting eating berries especially blueberries every single day ever since! This new diet is tough, but i am willing to go for it for the sake of delaying the return of the evil endo. Reduced comsumption of meepok, meekia, ramen, udon, bread, pasta etc. There is so much that we can't eat. Sometimes i cheat and i load up on my berries and veges to compensate.

    Michelle19, Nana_love, Hopeful_tadada and Lilin04,
It's so true, everyone around us having kids, even those just got married. My friends have 2 kids now.
I used to ask my elder sis why she don't give birth early when we were younger, and now i'm like stuck in the rut. She actually gave birth at 31! And my bro-inlaw's wife, didn't even want kids early as she dislike kids, and they conceived unexpectedly. I was really hurt and felt betrayed by her, because i shared with her how much i wanted to have kids etc, and i also asked her if she was preg when i suspected, yet she denied. I felt my trust was taken for granted. That was one of my most depressed time, my 2nd most depressed time, is this year CNY, when she announced her second. it's like getting stabbed all over again.

Also i believe that unless a person went through years of TTC, if not she will never be able to understand what we go through, so when people say they understand, i am skeptical. When people ask why no kid yet, i would just say i wonder why too!

  44. That’s real determination right there. I’ve only managed to cut down, but not eliminate. I’m definitely more aware of my gluten and inflammatory food intake now. So difficult!! But guess we will do whatever it takes

Sometimes I feel that the stress is actually give by other ppl. I didn’t think too much but the rest of the ppl keep asking me and I really sick of it. What is it relates to them yet they so kehpoh and over concerned.

I understand how bad you feel. I can only tell myself that enjoy every moment in life no matter with kids or without. Coz both have its challenges.

Babylovin, can check with you? Decided to go TMC for fertility checkup, so do I need to make a call before going or walk in will go? Thanks!

Haha i am surprised at my own determination really. It's hard to completely eliminate, so just try your best to reduce. You can switch to almond milk for dairy, that's what i'm drinking now. Eat lots of blueberries and broccoli, my best friends now haha.
